Maceo Plex ascends to number one in the singles. Eric Prydz takes back the top selling album

In its seventh week in the extended chart, Maceo Plex climbs four places to claim his first number one single. The song 'Mirror Me' was released in September last year but it only recently came to my attention. And what a brilliant song it is too, very deserving of its new peak position. In the albums chart, after four weeks of Rihanna at number one, Eric Prydz returns to claim a fourth week for 'Opus'.

Last week's singles #1 'Piece of Me' drops a single place, as does last week's #2, SeeB's 'Breathe'. Mickey climbs to a new peak of #4 this week with 'It's My Man' which is proving itself to be a slow-burning hit. It is the song's 11th week in the chart.

The top 10 as a whole is the same as it was the previous week but in a re-shuffled order [so is the entire top 14 too]. The only interesting feature of the bottom half of the top 10 is the new peak for Florian Kempers, up to #7 with 'Everybody's Free 2016'.

In the top 20 Mr. Belt & Wezol climb to #15 with 'Faith' and Kiiara re-peaks at #17 with 'Gold'.

Due to me being on holiday the chart is fairly slow moving this week and there are a lack of new entries. The highest of these is at #29 which comes from Desiigner with his debut single, 'Panda'. Also new to the top 50 are Sam Feldt's 'Been A While' [#31], Chocolate Puma's 'Listen to the Talk' [#32] and a few others outside of the top 40.
