2 albums that both house some very good Kylie material.
Which is the best album? |

There were some classic moments with X but Golden flows so seamlessly as an overall album - pure perfection.

X has some really strong material and many duffs.
Golden, Dancing and Musics Too Sad Without You are both wonderful and the highlights from the album. X, just has more standout songs than Golden but it also houses more duff songs. X narrowly achieved my vote. |

X for me, more really strong pop songs and I prefer DanceKylie to CountryKylie....Golden was well timed however and Dancing will always be a special track.

The timing of golden was perfect and felt like a good comeback. X wasnt fully the comeback I wanted but it has a few really great tracks on that help me remember the album better than what it is overall.

X is definitely better!
There’s few skips on X and the sound of it is kind of more to my taste. It’s less cheese like and feels like it’s a bit more experimental and she had a whole new attitude on this album too with it being her first campaign since surviving cancer. She really felt like a boss in this era. The albums innovative. X all the way! This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: 4th February 2020, 12:55 AM |

Kylie experimented on x but I think with too many styles but when she got it right it was good.

X has some seriously great stuff on it, but it felt like they were trying to cover all the bases and it's too all over the place. Plus there were some fantastic tracks that got left off (like Rippin' Up The Disco, Fall For You, Do It Again etc) which if replaced with some of the deadwood could have made it a truly great and cohesive album!

Defo agree if they went that way x would have had a more togetherness sound plus those are better than some songs on the album.

Voted for 'Golden' as it was an amazing return to form after what's easily considered her worst studio album 'KMO'. Both of these albums are quite experimental, but 'Golden' is far more successful at it with rich production & really shows how she's matured as an artist, especially after 4 decades in the music business & still showing that she has so much more to give.
BEST MOMENTS = "Dancing", "Stop Me From Falling", "Sincerely Yours", "Music's Too Sad Without You" & "Lost Without You". "X" is also really good, but suffers from being all over the place & questionable single choices (namely '2 Hearts'). If some of the b-sides or unreleased material ended up the album then this could have easily been a much better album. How the hell could tracks like 'Magnetic Electric', 'Rippin' Up The Disco', 'Cherry Bomb', 'Lose Control', 'Fall For You' & 'Sexual Gold' be left on the cutting room floor. There are still some really great moments on there, 'Like A Drug', 'In My Arms', 'Speakerphone', 'The One' & 'Wow', but on the whole its slightly let down by a few filler moments. |

The filler moments do let x down which is a shame this could have been an amazing album from start to finish.

Golden has a very consistent sound through most of the album.
As i have previously mentioned, Kylies love and belief of the material sold the album. Golden also showcased that Kylie can still deliver the goods and this was welcoming as Kiss me Once was a worry. X is the album that really should have been much bigger than it was as it housed songs that would have made excellent singles but they messed up on single choices. There was also mistakes and huge mistakes made with track sections for the album. |

Golden was the first time for a while kylie really really invested in the material and she lit up when performing. If this poll was based on album covers golden would win hands down as I dont like the cover of x at all.

Kylie supported the campaign from start to finish and really gave it everything and it made the album more authentic.
I like the cover of X for its quirkiness but prefer the cover of X. |

Apologies, that is what i did mean.
The Golden tour was however stronger than the X tour. The staging of the X tour didnt connect with me. |

X has huge potential for a re-release at some point as it is one of her main albums that has many great tracks that could be added as bonus tracks.
The 20th Anniversary is a long way off and as i say this, i do feel X is older than 13 years although not by its sound |
