Grime duo Krept & Konan are back with a double album coming this month.

The lead singles 'Wo Wo Wo' and 'For Me' are out now. They've still yet to come close to 'Freak Of The Week' for me, I can't see either of these giving them their elusive second hit but they both sound quite good (particularly 'Wo Wo Wo').

Excited for their mixtapes, got some interesting features on there! Not feeling these two songs massively, I'm wanting a 'Don't Waste My Time' type banger from them - I think that's what they need to remain as one of the prominent UK rap acts.

I was obsessed with 'Freak Of The Week' but I cannot see them getting chart success like that again. It was to 2015 what 'Did You See' or 'Bestie' have been this year - perfectly on trend, credible for the underground but with a huge hook that drew in the pop crowd. Basically DJ Mustard + Dancehall influence + Jeremih + heavy promotion and airply equalled huge hit back then. They'd need to do an Afrobeat influenced track with a big hook from a big artist to match that success.

I was hoping they'd attempt for another chart hit, I think if they did a song like Bestie they're still relevant enough with grime fans for it to take off big on Spotify.

Loved Freak Of the Week back in 2015, DJ Mustard's production with the catchy bassline makes it so much better imo than these new songs, the production of which I find rather boring in comparison.

Whatever happened to DJ Mustard anyway? He was so big then it's like suddenly he disappeared when all the soundcloud rappers started cropping up in the charts.

He became experimental and it sounded weaker than his signature productions. Also, I think a single producer dominating urban radio ahs a limited shelf life (Timbaland, Mike Will etc..) and he did well to have two years at the top.

Really liking this right now, got quite a good chance of going Top 40 as well which is impressive!
