BUMP
2026 World Cup venues announced at 10pm UK time. Anyone know if they will announce the 2026 tournament dates at the same presser? Im thinking the dates for 2026 may be Tuesday June 16 to Sunday July 19. So the announcement if it happens today, June 16, would be exactly 4 years until the 2026 World Cup if those dates are to be the dates used. USA 94 dates were June 17 to July 17. |

So the host cities for Canada will be Toronto and Vancouver, and for Mexico it will be Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey, as well of course as lots of various cities/states in the US.

I'll be in Mexico City 5 days before the WC starts! Shame there's not a little overlap to lap up some of the atmosphere but at least I'll be back to watch the England matches.

My home venue is Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. I hope I am able to get tickets as I certainly plan to!

Yeah Gillette Stadium is the home of the 6-time world champion New England Patriots and sometimes gets the the nickname "The Razor" because it's tough for visiting teams to win there. The MLS team, New England Revolution also play there.
Also they've built a shopping mall, Hall of Fame, restaurants, and other attractions around the stadium and the open-air concept with an open end with a lighthouse as a nod to the oceanside geography of the area. Here's a photo: This post has been edited by DJHazey: 1st July 2022, 03:52 PM |

The match schedule for the World Cup has just been announced and the final will be hosted at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This is a bit of a shock result as the media has been reporting on 'Dallas' hosting the final for the past couple of weeks.
The opening game will take place on 11th June at the Azteca in Mexico City while Canada will host their opening game in Toronto and the USA will kick-off at the SoFi Stadium in L.A. on the following day. |

New Jersey will mean better times watching from Europe than the Rose Bowl in 94!
