Still think something is majorly off with Liverpool. Our intensity is way down on the same stats last season - really think we’ve set up differently this season. What’s mad is every other team seems to be the opposite, blasting through walls for 45 minutes and then having nothing left in the tank.

I thought Newcastle were utterly dreadful for half a game and Liverpool weren’t much better. They just defended well and took advantage of the refs letting the game flow. Cut and paste for the Derby at the weekend!

The Football Association is reviewing an incident where a Newcastle staff member appeared to throw an object towards the Liverpool technical area during the Reds' 2-1 win on Wednesday.

I think we are just stale, same players for near 5 seasons apart from a few extras

I think it is a mixture of things, I think there is a hangover there from last season and we desperately need some new energy in midfield. We play with next to no risk and progressive passes. When Thiago is out it hurts us so much under this set up and it shows in the stats and makes sense why we want Arthur. We've obviously put all our legs in the basket of Bellingham now.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Arthur Melo.

The 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder has joined the Reds on loan from Juventus for the remainder of the season.

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez says he has found adapting to English football difficult but the Uruguayan accepts that has been partly self-inflicted.

Nunez just needs time and to keep his head down and work hard as he is. The chances will continue to come.

Feel like he's missed his opportunity to permanently oust Firmino from the team. Good start for Nunez = Firmino becomes an afterthought. Now Firmino's on course for his best ever scoring season!

Liverpool are a shadow of their former selves at the moment. 14 points off the top of the table and they've got Manchester City next week. They're really missing Sadio Mane I think also they've been relying on largely the same squad for a number of years now.

Putting it on Mane leaving is a Kop out imo. Their defence has been utter wet garbage so far this year. Long may it continue!

Mane is not the reason- he is dreadful for Bayern at the moment.

Our problems are we’re shot physically. Actually thought we were the better team in the first half but Arsenal were so superior physically in the second. Can’t grumble, just think at this point we’ve got to solider on until the World Cup and take it from there. Can’t blame it on the ref, but the Arsenal pen was soft and can take that being given but feels ridiculous that we didn’t the handball one.

Only good thing is because of the way we’re run, being out of the CL wont be an issue as we don’t spend any money anyway.

It will affect the players you can buy though, such as Bellingham!

Yeh hard to know what’s wrong with Liverpool too many players out of form and the defence is wide open, Gomez was a lot better at right back tho. City will put 6 past us next week lol!

I don't think it will affect any purchases, we won't be out of the CL long if we miss 4th and in another seasons time I think it's 5 places.

As things stand City will have a field day against us.

Yeh feel they could win 6-0 but they have the potential to do that against any team this season!
