Persona gives me very much 90’s hip-hop/R&B vibes, mixed with maybe a bit of Eminem. RM does a great job of leading us into the album.
Boy With Luv (A Poem For the Small Things) is obviously a stand-out. It’s really a cohesive mix of trending western-pop music and classic BTS styles. Halsey really adds to the song on the studio version, gives the chorus a little bit more texture.
Mikrokosmos was written by an English singer/songwriter if I’m not wrong. Funnily enough to me it sounds like modern Take That - but make it good. I’m loving it.
I was a tad apprehensive about Make It Right as I found out that it was co-written by Ed Sheeran, however I seem to like his writing style when I can’t understand the lyrics! It’s honestly shaping up to be one of my faves right out the gate.
HOME screams Paradise Pt. II to me? And of course Paradise always reminded me of early Ariana Grande, so naturally I love it.
Jamais Vu is beautiful. Jin, J-Hope, and Jungkook do a really good job of carrying the song by themselves.
And then we close the album with Dionysus, which comes full circle really as RM, Suga and J-Hope rap over some very 90’s- reminiscent beat. It’s got some rocky undertones which I’ve always been a fan of the boys experimenting with. The vocal line bring a lot of attitude to the song as well, which means it kind of doesn’t rest. Great closer.
Jimin’s vocals are a huge stand out for me on this album, although I wish their was more Suga. Well done Bangtan, you’ve done well once again. Maybe this could be their first UK Top 3 album? Maybe even number 1? We’ll see.

Gave this a listen as I stanned 'IDOL' and it's a pretty solid release, my early favourite is 'HOME'! I still can't get into 'Boy With Luv' at all though, boo.

It was always gonna happen eventually, but it just adds to BTS being the biggest group in the world right now!
