From the past 3 era's, there's been one song from each (rep - getaway car, lover - cruel summer, folklore - exile) that people we're begging to be singles from the moment they were released but they never got that push! Which one is the biggest smash that got away? What one is your favourite? Which one would've had the best video?

I have gone for a complete split!:

biggest missed opportunity - cruel summer
best song - exile
what would've had the best video - getaway car

these two both were really close between cruel summer & exile so I decided to split them

for missed opportunity - Getaway Car is dead last. I think it would've bombed if it was pushed when expected ngl, probs would've been Out Of The Woods part 2. In terms of when they would've been pushed I'd say exile was the biggest missed opportunity as I feel it could've done so well over the past couple months. I low-key feel like if Cruel Summer had been a single this summer (as reportedly planned) that it would've underperformed massively & done nothing on the charts. However I think Cruel Summer not being the lead single was the biggest missed opportunity, it would've smashed so hard, which has swayed me to voting for that!

best song - honestly all 3 are neck & neck for me, I feel like if I was to do an overall Taylor ranking they'd all be back-to-back in it laugh.gif three 10/10's wub.gif

best video - I think once again going with the OOTW comparisons, Getaway Car would've had such a good video & when Tay's vids were good in the Rep era, they were legendary! Cruel Summer would probs have a cute video that I wouldn't go back to that much & I feel for obvs reasons with the current circumstances, exile would be nice but nothing major!

Voted 'exile' as the biggest missed opportunity mostly because it would've only been single #2 from the campaign!

All three of these are fantastic but my favourite is 'Cruel Summer' wub.gif

I also voted for 'exile' in terms of video as the 'cardigan' one was gorgeous so I would've been interested in more of that aesthetic.
