Chart Analysis
Of Monsters and Men soar to the top with Visitor . It's a first top ten for the band, and the highest chart peak for an Icelandic artist, dethroning Daði Freyr's #8 peak for Think About Things. At #2 is Allie X with a remixed version of her song Downtown, a new career peak following Love Me Wrong which featured Troye Sivan. Only one song from last week's top ten remains: Rapture by Declan McKenna, which falls 2 places from #1. This week's highest new entry comes from Sam Smith at #9, their second chart hit after To Die For (#30) earlier this year. At #10 we have Sufjan Stevens with a third top ten, his other top tens have both reached #1 but Sugar stalls at the other end. Lady Gaga's latest single 911 re-enters at #18, could it climb further and become her 6th top ten? Towards the lower end of the chart we have new entries from Ava Max, Blood Orange and Fleet Foxes, all of which have the potential to rise in the coming weeks. Will Of Monsters and Men's visit to the top be brief, or will they stay on another week? The main competition comes from Sufjan Stevens, whose new album should make quite an impact.

Hi Ansel!

Giving Visitor a listen now, quite different from the other more recent OMAM stuff so it'll probably take a while for it to grow on me but I've added it to my playlist.

I had no idea Fleet Foxes had new music out either (or that they still existed to be honest), giving Can I Believe You a listen now - another nice song! I like the instrumentation in it.

Great chart biggrin.gif

Hey Ansel!

That Allie X track sounds very early 2000's. I approve!

Love a bit of Carly and Never Get To Hold You is no exception. I'm ready for her next album already!! cheer.gif

Great to see 911 re enter. It's fab! For me personally, this era is much better than her previous two!

Cry about I'd later is a bop! Absolutely loving Smile!

Great chart!

Hi Pete!
Yeah for me Visitor feels closer to their older stuff - especially with some of the lyrics it reminds me of Little Talks. Hope it grows on you!
I'd definitely recommend the new Fleet Foxes album too, it's a really nice record just to have on in the background.
Thanks for commenting! smile.gif

Hi Sergej!
Glad you like Diamonds, Sam Smith's recent era has been their best by far for me happy.gif and Born to the Night might be my favourite Ava Max track!

Hi JSG!
Glad you liked the Allie X song, I can't get enough of it right now.
Never Get To Hold You is just perfect, Carly at her absolute best wub.gif
911 has done a huge u-turn for me, when the album came out it kinda just passed me by (as you can probably tell from that 39-OUT chart run wacko.gif ) but with the music video I really love it now!
And Cry About It Later deserved to be a proper single! I still have hope tearsmile.gif
