I am not surprised, the song is very remix-able. (Think Summertime Sadness)

Not sure how I feel about LTTR as a single - I LOVE the song but there are others I would have preferred but I guess it’s the right kind of summer song.

Just hope BMG actually try to push it as a proper single.

I am very disappointed by this decision.
I do like it, but i feel there were better choices.
I hope both Kylie and the label get behind this and really give it a push.

I suppose it's far from the worst choice, but not what I would have gone for. I was hoping for 'Music's Too Sad...' as a nice winter ballad-esque release.

This was my number one choice following the album release but there's others I have since thought would be better choices. This one is too much in the same vein as Dancing and Stop Me From Falling; there's some great ballads on this album and it would be good to show that side of the album.

Music's Too Sad..... would have been an ideal 4th single for September release and it would have presented a completely different side of the album.
That said, the decision is made, so we can do what we can to support it as a single.

Maybe (Hopefully!) they are saving ‘Musics Too Sad Without You’ for a winter release to coincide with the album repackage?

I think if Kylie gets some TV promo LTTR could really sell the album as it’s very upbeat but if they just rely on R2 playlist and nothing else then it’s not going to help much.

I've got to say, despite there being more ideal choices, I do love 'A Lifetime to Repair' and I think, assuming we get them, we could see some great performances and remixes of this. I can see it being a crowd-pleaser; the composition of the song really lends itself to hyping up the audience .

Maybe Kylie's working her way through all the songs in order and we'll get a video for them all? biggrin.gif #wishfulthinking

^^ Was just thinking please give us a physical release! They could easily sell 5,000 units of whatever physical they decided upon.

Ya I agree or do a vinyl and a cd as fans will buy both especially if we get a b side and I'm sure she has songs available.

I've been trying to search for a source on this, but there's not even one mention of it on Twitter and Google is returning nothing either. I can't see it mentioned on any other forums I browse.

Anyone?

Nope, can’t find any information in any of the usual places (Say Hey etc.,).

Sorry guys, it has been sent out to radio, I wouldn't make it up. It normally takes a few days for it to filter through on social media/online particularly when it's a single released well into the album campaign. Here's the text of the email:-

Good Thursday Morning- and what a great way to kick off today, with a brand NEW radio single from Kylie Minogue!

Kylie Minogue

“Lifetime To Repair”

KYLIE RELEASES SINGLE ‘A LIFETIME TO REPAIR’

TAKEN FROM HER UK NUMBER 1 ALBUM ‘GOLDEN’

‘Golden’s sound is subtle…there’s an intimate authenticity to its songs” – Metro 4*

Kylie releases ‘A Lifetime to Repair’, taken from her UK Number 1 Album ‘Golden’. The track is an upbeat ballad about getting back up again after heartbreak and perfectly reflects the intimate nature of ‘Golden’ – Kylie’s most personal album to date.

‘A Lifetime to Repair’ was produced and mixed by African-German producer Sky Adams, who was heavily involved in ‘Golden’ - released earlier this year via BMG Records. ‘Golden’ debuted at Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart, is her sixth Number 1 album to date and is certified Gold in the UK. It spawned the singles ‘Stop Me From Falling’ and ‘Dancing’, the official video for which has over 10 million views and counting.

‘Golden’ leads the charge in best-selling cassettes of 2018, announced by Official Charts earlier this month. One week after release, ‘Golden’ was also announced as the fastest-selling vinyl album of 2018.

Later this year, Kylie will bring her extraordinary creativity as a live performer back to the stage this autumn when brings her ‘Golden’ tour to UK, Ireland and Europe. Tickets for the shows are on sale via all regular outlets as well as via Kylie’s website - http://www.kylie.com.
