What's up Mango! Happy summer to you! 1 (1) Grace Carter - Don't Hurt Like It Used To (5 wks / HCP 1) [23-10-5-1-1] 2 (2) Bastille - Doom Days (7 wks / HCP 1) [24-2-1-1-1-2-2] 5 (22) Mark Ronson feat. Camila Cabello - Find U Again (2 wks / HCP 5) [22-5] Not liking this as much as his past two singles, but I'm a little surprised it's not top 40 yet. I'll be checking out the album soon! 6 (5) Bring Me The Horizon - Mother Tongue (6 wks / HCP 4) [23-9-5-4-5-6] 7 (7) Kygo feat. Rita Ora - Carry On (5 wks / HCP 7) [28-17-11-7-7] 10 (21) Bastille - Joy (3 wks / HCP 10) [33-21-10] 11 (12) Charli XCX & Lizzo - Blame It On Your Love (4 wks / HCP 11) [26-17-12-11] 12 (25) Katy Perry - Never Really Over (2 wks / HCP 12) [25-12] Really impressed with this and pleased to see nearly unanimous love for it here! Glad to see it's shaping up to be a hit too 13 (16) Jess Glynne & Jax Jones - One Touch (3 wks / HCP 13) [28-16-13] It's pretty Jess-Glynne-by-numbers but I'm loving it anyway! She can release the same song over and over and I'd still keep listening to it 14 (9) Lil Dicky - Earth (7 wks / HCP 5) [27-13-5-6-7-9-14] 16 (17) Halsey - Nightmare (4 wks / HCP 16) [27-19-17-16] 17 (14) Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber - I Don't Care (5 wks / HCP 14) [29-19-16-14-17] 18 (8) Georgia - About Work The Dancefloor (8 wks / HCP 4) [33-23-14-6-4-6-8-18] 19 (23) Ed Sheeran feat. Chance The Rapper & PnB Rock - Cross Me (3 wks / HCP 19) [30-23-19] 20 (31) Miley Cyrus - Mother's Daughter (2 wks / HCP 20) [31-20] LOVE this, not what I expected from Miley at all! (The title suggested it might be a sweet ballad about her mum but this is far more interesting ) 21 (-) Mabel - Mad Love (1 wk / HCP 21) [21] Ehhh it's no 'Don't Call Me Up' but it will do...and will grow hopefully! 22 (28) Sigala x Becky Hill - Wish You Well (3 wks / HCP 22) [32-28-22] 23 (27) Dominic Fike - 3 Nights (4 wks / HCP 23) [36-29-27-23] 24 (26) 5 Seconds Of Summer - Easier (3 wks / HCP 24) [31-26-24] 26 (32) Cheryl - Let You (2 wks / HCP 26) [32-26] Definitely preferring this over 'Love Made Me Do It', how about you? 32 (19) James Arthur - Falling Like The Stars (4 wks / HCP 19) [28-21-19-32] Likewise this sounds like James-Arthur-by-numbers but it's becoming one of my faves! A shame his uptempo stuff gets overlooked anymore 33 (20) David Guetta feat. RAYE - Stay (Don't Go Away) (5 wks / HCP 20) [31-22-20-20-33] 36 (24) Sam Fender - Hypersonic Missiles (10 wks / HCP 4) [33-21-13-10-6-4-7-10-24-36] 37 (29) Shawn Mendes - If I Can't Have You (6 wks / HCP 22) [35-27-24-22-29-37] 38 (34) Lewis Capaldi - Hold Me While You Wait (5 wks / HCP 27) [37-32-27-34-38] Great chart Hey Jordan! I didn't realise 'happy summer to you' was a thing but same to you 5 - I think this is a better song than Late Night Feelings actually and I'm really surprised it's struggling to go Top 40. Hopefully this week it will with the album release! 12 - Yeah it's nothing ground-breaking but it's a perfectly good song so hopefully it will be a Top 10 hit. How's it doing Stateside? 13 - I think she actually does release the same song over and over 20 - No it's not what I was expecting either! But then she does like to surprise us with the unexpected sometimes (Malibu being a case in point!) I agree it's an interesting song. 21 - It's no 'Don't Call Me Up'... because it's better than 'Don't Call Me Up' - IMHO anyway! Hopefully it grows on you. 26 - Hmmm they're about on par at the moment, although the quality is still well below the likes of Fight For Your Love etc. 32 - Does he even do any uptempo stuff? I can only think of 'You're Nobody...' and even that's only vaguely uptempo! Thanks |

Hi Mango!
Four newies in a row for you this week As much as I dislike Taylor I do like You Need To Calm Down - it's actually a pretty decent song with a good music video. I've been meaning to give 'Now You're Gone' another listen for absolutely months - doing it now, it's an absolutely beautiful track with a great video, added to my playlist now! Just giving the new Tame Impala a listen now as well, it's quite nice and very similar to Patience but I'll have to see whether it grows on me or not. Great chart |

Hey Jordan! I didn't realise 'happy summer to you' was a thing but same to you 12 - It's doing great on radio, not sure if it'll hit top 10 but it's been as high as #155 - I think this is a better song than Late Night Feelings actually and I'm really surprised it's struggling to go Top 40. Hopefully this week it will with the album release! 12 - Yeah it's nothing ground-breaking but it's a perfectly good song so hopefully it will be a Top 10 hit. I can only think of 'You're Nobody...' and even that's only vaguely uptempo! Thanks 32 - Not much anymore, to be fair I was mainly thinking of 'You Deserve Better' flopping, so it's kind of no surprise that he sticks with ballads. (I'd forgotten about 'Rewrite The Stars' which is kinda uptempo, at least by his standards ) |

I haven't got round to watching Taylor's video yet, maybe that will help sell the song to me a bit more? 'Now You're Gone' is OK but it's not my favourite by him. Again maybe I need to watch the video. I much prefer the new Tame Impala to 'Patience' which I didn't really get into. 'Borderline' is quite a grower actually! Thanks Hey Mango, Little Mix and Taylor Swift entering Halsey dropping hard Katy going up fast Yep, goodbye Halsey and hello LM and Taylor. Neither are their best songs by a mile so I can't really see them going Top 10, but at least Katy's song is good! Thanks for commenting |
