This week’s chart
Enya remains on top of the chart for her fourth week. Can she equal her record with “Amarantine� which stayed at the summit for eight weeks? The highest new entry comes from Natash Thomas with her song “Skin Deep� recently used on the Lacoste advert. Rihanna, Gorillaz and Katie Melua provide further new entries in the top 20. Madonna and Daz both climb into the top three, as LL Cool J & Jennifer Lopez fall to #4. “Amarantine� is once again the longest runner, Enya has now been in the top 20 for an astounding 24 weeks.

On the Spot: Alexis Strum
Alexis first entered my chart back in 2005 with the gorgeous “Bad Haircut� which eventually peaked at #15, after a yo-yoing sort of chart run. Her second single “It Could Be You� has also returned to the top ten and has once again climbed this week. Two amazing songs, no doubt a great album, why isn’t she having any success?
