Hey Jordan! I trust you had a good festive period. Happy new year!
1. The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk I Feel It Coming Well I definitely didn't feel this coming! Especially as Starboy is still climbing! It's a good little pop song but still doesn't come close to Can't Feel My Face for me. 2. Shawn Mendes Mercy [10-2] 3. Alessia Cara Scars To Your Beautiful [17-5-1-3] 4. Bruno Mars 24K Magic [27-13-4] 5. Fifth Harmony Thats My Girl [19-5] 7. Hailee Steinfeld & Grey feat. Zedd Starving [39-18-3-2-7] 9. Sia feat. Kendrick Lamar The Greatest [26-16-6-9] 10. The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk Starboy [38-17-10] 11. Rihanna Love On The Brain [14-11] 13. DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber Let Me Love You [7-3-2-5-13] 15. Ariana Grande feat. Nicki Minaj Side To Side [4-1-3-15] 16. Zara Larsson Aint My Fault [8-16] 18. Calvin Harris My Way [11-4-18] 20. Kenny Chesney feat. P!nk Setting The World On Fire [39-25-20] I got round to listening to this and it's quite nice can't wait for her new album though! 21. John Legend Love Me Now [33-21] Weird to see this finally taking off, although I have to admit I always thought it might. 22. Adele Water Under The Bridge [32-22] Still willing this to somehow become a hit for her! She should maybe have waited a few weeks and tie it in with the Brits I think. 24. Niall Horan This Town [16-24] 25. Jonas Blue feat. Raye By Your Side I've given this enough of a chance but I just can't really get into it, I find it so generic and average. 26. Louisa Johnson So Good I'm very impressed at how well this has managed to hold up. Although I do hope I like her next single more! 28. Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie Rockabye Such a belated but welcome new entry as you may or may not have seen on my EOY chart, this is my song of the year 30. OneRepublic Kids [40-24-30] 32. Mura Masa feat. A$AP Rocky Love$ick Initially I hated this, but I'm kinda warming to it now. I especially love the old skool hip hop beat 34. RagnBone Man Human I can't believe how much of a hit this has become. I really don't see what's so good about it 36. Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha In The Name Of Love [7-8-18-36] 37. Machine Gun Kelly x Camila Cabello Bad Things Great stuff as per. Looking forward to seeing what musical delights 2017 has to bring |

I trust you had a good festive period. Happy new year! Hi Mango!!! Yes, that whole week between Christmas and New Year's was really really good. Hope yours was too!1. The Weeknd feat. Looking forward to seeing what musical delights 2017 has to bring 1. I didn't either!!! It very quickly became my favorite song of his, just utter perfection 20. Yay! Same here, I mean she's just had a baby but how long does she expect us to wait!? 21. Hmm yeah, chart-wise it has definitely exceeded my expectations by quite a lot, but I'm happy about that. 22. Yeah I'm basically hoping for the same here with the Grammys 25. It's burned on me quickly. I'm excited to hear more from Raye though. 26. Agreed with both points! This has worn on me quickly too and she needs a much bigger song. 28. I did not see that, but just checked it and now I have It's just now climbing the US charts so we'll see if it grows on me. 32. Yay! That's what I like about it too. 34. It's kinda average for me too, but for the sake of being something different I'm glad it's doing well. Thanks as per! Based on just this week 2017's off to a really good start Niall droping Thanks! Honestly I like Niall's song more than I thought I would, so it's not all bad I don't like The Weeknd but most of the other songs in the chart are very good |

Awesome to see Alessia do so well here, Scars To You Beautiful is such an empowering song, very good lyrically. Great #1 also, I Feel It Coming might just be my favourite from the track, it's nice that the Daft Punk contributions are a lot more noticeable than they are in Starboy.

Hello there ;o
The Weeknd bookending your top 10 is surely something you'd have struggled to believe not long ago, right?! Great to see as they're both wonderful in very different ways. I think your respective chart runs are really apt for them actually - 'I Feel It Coming' as the undeniable, instant fave, and 'Starboy' being the hypnotic slow-burner. <3 I heard 'Caroline' yesterday evening towards the end of my marathon BJSC entry search ! A jam-and-at-least-three-halves it must be said but pretty darn x-rated, oh my . I briefly considered linking it to my friend/workmate of the same name but decided I didn't wanna...make her uncomfortable lol. Shall stick to Outkast's opus, 'Roses'. :') Happy to see 'Water Under The Bridge' on the rise! Where would it rank among the four singles for you at this stage? ...a fall to #19 next month for 'The Greatest' though and all is forgiven. ) Troll-y troll troll. Great stuff overall, especially with the debuts for 'So Good', 'Rockabye', 'Love$ick', and 'Human'. |

I completely agree with all of this!!! (obviously ) Alessia is an outstanding songwriter for her age, and I Feel It Coming is my fave from The Weeknd now, used to be The Hills. The Daft Punk influence is just <33333333333333.Thanks for commenting!! Hi Riser Hi Harry Thanks for commenting To be honest excellent top 5 love all them Huge climb For carrie!!!! Hmm yeah, pretty sure The Weeknd has always peaked at #8 here so wouldn't have called a #1 OR a #10 I'd rate 'Caroline' just under a jam-and-one-half, and 'Water Under The Bridge' is still pretty solidly at 4th unless it gets closer to #1. Not expecting her #1 streak to continue at this point but we'll see! Thanks for commenting, nice try on the trolling |
