14. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Average: 8.263157895 (8.26 rounded)
Highest Point: 11 (Alpha)
Lowest Point: 4 (Bjork)

Personal Opinion: Remember what I said about gentle songs here is another this feels very chiled and relaxed with the production allowing again to lyrics to take centre stage.

15. St. Jude

Average: 8.058823529 (8.06 rounded)
Highest Point: 10 (HausOfTravis)
Lowest Point: 6 (Joe)

Personal Opinion: Florence does have her more gentle moments and here is yet another example of that with simple yet striking production this song really focuses on the vocals and lyrics.

16. Witch Which

Average: 8 (More 10s)
Highest Point: 10 (Pavel, Josh and Froot)
Lowest Point: 3 (Delincuentos)

Personal Opinion: I have only heard this once and from I could tell it was lovely just lovely but who knows with more listens.

17. Hurricane Drunk

Average: 8 (Less 10s)
Highest Point: 10 (Joe and SeanGrey)
Lowest Point: 5 (Bjork)

Personal Opinion: This song is very lovely to hear however its not one I go back too and I am glad it wasn’t properly pushed.

11. Conductor

Average: 8 75
Highest Point: 9 (Pavel)
Lowest Point: 8.5 (Froot)

Personal Opinion: Again like Pure feeling only this high due to only two people voting for it, I have not heard this track yet oops

12. Howl

Average: 8.722222222 (8.72 rounded)
Highest Point: 11 (*CallumTM and Davidson)
Lowest Point: 6 (Joe, SeanGrey and HausOfTravis)

Personal Opinion: This song really is a standout for Lungs the way it builds and builds is outstandly haunting. The verses feel different to the chorus to me maybe this is trying to create a musical version of a howl in that it the verses feel more calmer before letting out a almighty howl. The lyrics and her voice in this song too are incredible
I do wish the production was a little different though.

13. Drumming Song

Average: 8.675
Highest Point: 11 (HarryEzra and Iz)
Lowest Point: 5 (SeanGrey)

Personal Opinion: Hands down my favourite Florence And The Machine song. The way it builds and builds throughout is why I love it so much. Not forgetting the gospel like middle 8 and relatable lyrics equal to a strong song. This song is a staple Florence and the Machiene song for me and I am very pleased as to where it ended up.

Drumming Song was the encore when I saw her live (along with What Kind Of Man)! wub.gif

Ship To Wreck is far too low for my liking but otherwise I think I'll be pleased with the top 10.

Lost two of my favorite songs in Howl & Hurricane Drunk, and very surprised at some of the entries below 20 but here's my preferred end results for the Top 10:

01 Spectrum
02 No Light No Light
03 Cosmic Love
04 Dog Days Are Over
05 What The Water Gave Me
06 Delilah
07 Shake It Out
08 Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)
09 Queen Of Peace
10 What Kind Of Man

Overall amazing Top 10 though I slightly prefer the older Flo to the newest album.

Can't really complain with that Top 10, although I wouldn't put 'Spectrum' there and I would replace it with 'Drumming Song'! There's a couple of other swaps I would make but that's the one that's standing out for me. Great to see 'Which Witch' so high, especially considering it's a bonus track AND in demo form, the track is brilliant.

Mine and Pav's impact though with those two tracks! laugh.gif

Top 10 time

10. Shake It Out

Average: 8.775
Highest Point: 11(Bjork and Chez Wombat)
Lowest Point: 5 (Alpha)

Personal Opinion: The track is very rememberable due to the production and the relatable message and lyrics about wanting 'Demons to go away' and 'Shake It Out'. My favourite parts are the middle 8 and the angelic gospel part at the end with the repeated 'oohs'. I would have this in my personal top 10 maybe top 5.

Noooo SIO is out way too early. sad.gif I remember being obsessed with this at the end of 2011.

Spectrum to win. heart.gif I'm happy that out of all of F+TM songs to get massive mainstream success in the UK even if through a Calvin remix, it was Spectrum that was chosen. The chorus is too much. heart.gif

Was never massively big on 'Shake It Out' unfortunately.

I can see why it was so popular but it never really fully clicked with me; didn't enjoy the overplay either.

9. What The Water Gave Me

Average: 8.8
Highest Point: 10 (Pavel, Froot, SeanGrey, Davidson, Delincuentos, Iz, Alpha, Chez and notfurlong)
Lowest Point: 2 (Joe)

Personal Opinion: It may not be their best but it is a good track esp how it grows and grows throughout the song. I dont think it has aged well in comparision to other of their songs. On the album it is nice to listen too.

8. No Light, No Light

Average: 8.875
Highest Point: 10 (Joe, Josh, Froot, *dandy, SeanGrey, HarryEzra, Davidson and Delincuentos)
Lowest Point: 6 (Riser)

Personal Opinion: Another track I would happily place in my personal top 10. Rightfully deserved of its top 10 spot as to me its quite cinemtic I wish it did better offically. Its quite rememberable too especially the chorus.

The last two (best) Ceremonials songs out oops. Sounds about right because the album is not on the same level as her debut and the latest LP.

7. Spectrum (Original)

Average: 8.925
Highest Point: 11 (HarryEzra, Scene and Iz)
Lowest Point: 6 (Riser)

Personal Opinion: I gave this my second 11 because I find it quite stunning as it reminds me of school GSCE years you know. This helpes me get through those years when dealing with stress etc. The calvin Harris remix is good but this much more chilled.

6. What Kind Of Man

Average: 9
Highest Point: 10 (Liam, Froot, Bjork, HarryEzra, Delincuentos, Alpha and Chez Wombat)
Lowest Point: 6.5 (DicraDicra)

Personal Opinion: That guitar rif at the beginning ong what a return for Florence it reignited (my love for her never left tvh) Just wow she came back with a bang and slightly new sound.

'Shake It Out' kind of left me cold when I heard it by chance the other day. Loved it on release but I'd say top 10 is a little high for my liking. Mildly surprised 'No Light, No Light' made the upper tier as I thought I recalled it being an unpopular single choice at the time (?), and it just never seems to get attention. Her live performances of that song are always particularly captivating, especially with that ridiculously long note towards the end.

'What The Water Gave Me' is so gorgeous wub.gif, and I'm chuffed to see 'What Kind Of Man' finish so well. One of Flo's best anthems - adore the instrumentation, lyrics, video, everything. <3

5. Delilah

Average: 9 (One 11)
Highest Point: 11(Delincuentos)
Lowest Point: 7 (Pavel, Joe, Scene, Riser and Iz)

Personal Opinion: I love this song so much such a Highlight of How Big, Blue, How Beautiful. Its such a fun song to listen too. The video for this is great too even if I prefer the ship to wreck video this era.
