It's starting everybody Top 10 EPs of 2021 Artists to follow in 2022 (maybe?) Top 25 Albums Of 2022 (late February) Top 10 UK Hit Songs Of 2022 (late March/early April. It's going to be later than usual as I have been planning on another countdown that has been in development since June) Top 50 Songs Of 2022 (sometime after the UK Hits list. elaboration is going to be unlikely for this one) |

Before I show the EPs list, I would like to introduce a new category
MIXTAPE OF THE YEAR This will go to what I consider to be my favourite mixtape of the year, pretty self-explanatory 2018: Bobby Tarantino II by Logic 2019: Angel's Pulse by Blood Orange 2020: Send Them To Coventry by Pa Salieu And 2021's mixtape of the year goes to Sad Night Dynamite by Sad Night Dynamite Sad Night Dynamite's self-titled mixtape takes elements of hip-hop and electronic and makes a gloomy atmosphere out of them in a similar way to Gorillaz, but parts of it also remind me of The Neighbourhood, who evoke a similar atmosphere in their works. There's also the welcome addition of instruments from other countries, such as a brief bouzouki. This post has been edited by DalekTurret32: 6th January 2022, 11:33 PM |

I'm not sure if I listened to any albums in 2021 (!) but I've heard quite a few songs from the Jungle album and all of them have sounded very nice! I enjoyed 'Hertz' from the Amyl and the Sniffers album as well, a genre of music I didn't know I needed in my life but I certainly do!

Glad you liked what you heard from the Jungle album Yeah, "Hertz" is a banger! Hearing my local record store play this, along with some other tracks from Comfort To Me, made me like it even more |

Ending this off with my Top 40 entries of the UK Top 40 in 2021
Mainly focusing on those that reached their peak between December 2020 and November 2021, which is why Seventeen Going Under will appear on next year's list instead. I have a five year rule (maximum of five years between year of release [2016] and year of list [2021]), which means a Top 40 entry must not have been released before 2016. Runaway by AURORA is, therefore, ineligible because while the album it was from did come out in 2016, it was released as a single in 2015.
