The Killers - Your Side Of Town [my favourite of theirs in years, would have enjoyed a whole album like this] Ayra Starr - Rush [I also like her recent song 'Commas' albeit its production is not unlike 'Calm Down'!] Depeche Mode - Ghosts Again [wonderful comeback] Grimes - I Wanna Be Software [great to see this here!] The Chemical Brothers & Beck - Skipping Like A Stone [enjoyed all the singles from this era although the album as a whole was just OK for me] Bugzy Malone & TeeDee - Out Of Nowhere [banger] Dua Lipa - Houdini [2 out of 2 for this era so far] Alessandra - Queen Of Kings [the Nordic entries delivered last year!] |

2023 Chart Run • 07-10-18-30-38-32-34-28-31-33-35-38 | 20 wks This was my Bjsc Entry for 2023 and it was such a bop. Unfortunately I think it ended in a DNQ? sadly of course. I've not had the best luck with bjsc the last few years  97 Olivia Rodrigo - Get Him Back! | 168,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 34-25-14-10-11-13-22-31 | 8 wks Now hype alone was enough for me to chart this and I did really enjoy it for a minute but that feeling quickly subsided unfortunately. The album was a mixed bag but there were definitely a few highlights! 98 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire | 167,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 28-19-12-06-11-17-30-38 | 8 wks This charted through hype and a little bit of the fact that it was slightly catchy. Hearing the snippet before release had me hyped but coming after miracle, this was such a let down which is a shame. Calvin has squandered this era I think, as much as I hate to say it. He led the dance/trance revival on the chart and has now left the field wide open for others I think. 99 Lewis Capaldi - Forget Me | 167,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 04-02-04-26-27-30-35 | 7 wks Well Lewis, I really wish I could forget you. As much as this song made the top 100 I went off it pretty quickly and I find Lewis capaldo bland and forgettable. I get that he's so popular because he's relatable and well liked but seriously, his music is enough to put me to sleep. 100 Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Wolf | 167,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 40-31-23-16-02-15-17-38-35-39 | 10 wks I actually can't remember much about this song aside from the fact I know that I likes it it did make the top 100 after all which just confirms that.

They're two peas in a pod and I think that's why I like them so much though they are a bit edgier but it's all good. I would love to hear a collaborative album or single from the pair one day. 92 Cast Of Six - Don't Lose Ur Head | 181,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 34-27-24-23-19-12-16-19-22-33 | 10 wks Now there are a few SIX: The Musical songs to come on my EOY. Just so you know. I saw the musical last year and I was so impressed after initially being hesitant to see it. Great song, nice updated story for the modern age too! 93 Cat Burns - Live More & Love More - 181,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 28-16-08-05-06-23-27-34 | 8 wks I much preferred this to Cat Burns debut hit on the official chart. Now I've no idea whether her debut on the chart was indeed her first ever song but I highly doubt it. Regardless, this remains my favourite from her though looking back it isn't exactly an impressive song. 94 Selena Gomez - Lose You to Love Me | 180,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 29-22-13-15-21-13-21-32-33-38 | 10 wks This is literally the epitome of what Selena is capable of. If I had charted this on its release it would no doubt have been a multi week #1 but I only ever got round to it when she released single soon which itself was a bloody massive bop! 95 Meghan Trainor - Mother | 180,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 27-18-14-04-08-20-26-32-40 | 9 wks This was good. Was this the tiktok trend last year? Or was it made you look? I'm still of the opinion that the majority of Meghan's music sounds the same and I don't think that helps her achieve chart success. |

This was a great comeback for Meghan, unfortunately I was too late to it and that led to it flying out my chart in the end. I stand by what I said before though. Until Meghan tries something different or evolves the sound she does, she'll never be a superstar. 87 Taylor Swift & Lana Del Rey - Snow On The Beach | 184,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 17-12-09-06-13-28-29-38-40 | 9 wks Now on first listen and indeed for the first week, I wasn't the biggest gab of this track but it did grow on me. Saying that, it remains one of my least favourite on the album which is unfortunate. 88 Metro Boomin, The Weeknd & 21 Savage - Creepin' | 183,000 Sales 2023 Chart Run • 28-25-12-16-19-10-22-31-28-37 | 10 wks A cover, sample or whatever of annold song that was great. This one not so much and then again, not my finest moment. 89 Ariana and The Rose - Landed | 183,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 30-24-20-13-13-08-18-25-35 | 9 wks Again, I don't really remember this song which is saying a lot for someone who has consistently delivered good, recognisable pop hits for me. A shame. 90 Romy & Fred Again.. - Strong | 183,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 33-29-18-06-07-12-21-32-37-40 | 10 wks Now I think I remember this song maybe? Perhaps? I can't be sure but then that doesn't say a lot about the song does it. |

I love this style of music so it was disheartening to see. 82 Anna of the North - I Do You | 191,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 08-04-11-14-19-25-27-36-39 | 9 wks I think I sent this to BJSC at some point? I could be mistaken well after checking and updating my list of entries in the Mulgracia Country thread, I have indeed sent this. It didn't do too well I don't think, I've forgotten already where it placed 83 Halsey - So Good | 188,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 10-14-22-31-40-33-33-26-28-21-31-36-38-39 | 14 wks This actually charted for a total of 21 weeks but 7 of those contributed towards the 2022 chart run. I will say I was soooo late to getting to chart this so there's that but I gave the album a spin and quite enjoyed the singles. This was a great discovery for me but I do wish I'd heard it at the time of release. 84 Fifty Fifty - Cupid | 187,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 28-24-17-10-05-07-11-24-24-37 | 10 wks This was quite good as songs from Asian artists go. Generally j-pop or k-pop isn't really what I'm into aside from the odd BTS track but this one was definitely cute. 85 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red | 187,000 sales 2023 Chart Run • 36-19-08-04-09-13-25-31-37 | 9 wks I'm pretty sure this is the first or second doja track I've ever charted. I like her flow but I'm not convinced she'd ever become one of my favourite outfits artists. Saying that, she sounds amazing on this one. |
