salute is v repetitive i feel and doesn't have a lot of layers to it - even though sweet melody is repetitive towards the end it has dynamic to it and the runs/belts energy from the girls is just stellar, salute doesn't really go anywhere, it sorta peaks at the first chorus - there's no vocal moments throughout the song and the song literally only has a change in lyrics/structure in the middle verse. Jade and Jesy's Salute verses are literally the chorus..

Personally I'm all about production. Tracks like Salute, Power, Touch and Break Up Song have exciting and full production where as I find that for others like Move, Black Magic and Confetti it falls a bit flat and doesn't excite me. |
