It would be even nicer if they had a bonus disk with b-sides or perhaps even unreleased left overs
 I don't think i'll be buying this, at least not yet, I don't see the point when I have all the albums already (and I have more than 1 copy of each already as well ) But it is nice for newer fans who maybe don't know her early stuff  I miss the days where I could buy 5 copies of every single thing released, sucks to be a grown up

Yeah this is clearly for newer fans of hers, it'd make more sense to have it nearer the time of new music though.

ooooh bit of a random thing to release now but okay
I do love the design of that box though, I'm tempted to buy it because I did get a box set years and years ago but careless younger Lindsey lots the majority of them  I have the deluxe edition of TTAL on iTunes though, it's actually one of the few albums I have on there that isn't from a physical copy, hmmm I'd much rather have a new album from her though

Yeah it is obviously aimed at new fans, they probably wanted to put this out for Christmas, regardless of whether we're getting new music or not.

I already own all her albums, but I did buy a boxset that included her first 4 albums a couple of years ago as I'd only owned 2 of her albums at the time. Yeah I only payed £7 for the set and it was money well spent. She always makes a fantastic album.
Although I do admit that out of her 6 studio albums, 2 of them I'm not keen on "Can't Take Me Home", which was her first and only R&B tinged album and I rarely go back to that one, I think she was still finding her feet at the time and glad she went into a different direction with her further releases. When "Misundaztood" came out, she totally found her sound and it still rocks to this day. Also "Try This", isn't one of her strongest efforts, just felt very rushed to me and too many fillers. Although I did like 2 of singles "Trouble" and "God Is A DJ" and plus "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" was a decent track. |

With CTMH, she didn't really have a lot of input on what the album was going to be like, plus is SO different to her albums since, that I've heard a lot of new fans who didn't even know CTMH exists Missundaztood will always be my favourite album, closely followed by Try This. I love the rock sound this album has, I feel like since IND Pink has had a very similar sound, where her first three albums all had different styles Loving the sig btw

I've always found CTMH to be a strong debut, it might not be "P!nk" but it's full of good songs, I rank it about level with M!ssundaztood! tbh

I take it this is a kind of celebration to 15 years of a chart career. I agree it's pointless to Pink fans but something nice for new fans and will end up trickle selling decently as a result. After the success of Pink Box in 2007, I suppose the record company thinks it's worth a shot to repeat that.
I like the singles to Can't Take Me Home but I'm not sure I'd enjoy a full album of similar tracks. From the few lists I've had of my charity-shop-bought-for-50p Missundaztood, I'm not all that keen, although it could have been multiple years since I last listened. Not heard the next two albums but Funhouse is just 10/10 for me; great track after the other, with a great mix of rocky, feisty tracks and softer/rawer ones. The Truth About Love proved she's still got it, albeit a slightly second-rate Funhouse. |
