Looks like it's titled 'Cracker Island' no release date yet though!

I wasn’t too keen after one listen, felt very monotone but it could grow. I wish Gorillaz would go back to their earlier roots again.

I wouldn’t expect Gorillaz to ever do that, and nor should they.

banger - there's not many Gorillaz uptempos and so something that keeps their base style but has a proper dominating undercurrent is quite something

This is FAB. The bass is so good and the dance-funk style is right up my street.

I didn't find this one to be quite as instant as most of the Song Machine singles but it's really wormed its way into my head now (and it's definitely a lot better than any of the songs off their last EP which was a bit of a letdown so good to know they still have it, not that I doubted them).

It looks like it is time for a new Gorillaz Era with the new single "Cracker Island" FT Thundercat Out Now (Alongside an MV for it)! While we all have been expecting a new Season of "Song Machine" It seems it may be very soon to get it. Gorillaz have teased this using #thelastcult and mentioning cults in cracker island, so may this have been scrapped! Some believe this to be the beginning of a "Plastic Beach" follow-up. However most think that Gorilaz's 8th Record will be titled "Song Machine Season 2: The Last Cult", "Song Machine Season 2: Tales Of The Last Cult" or something similar. What do you think, are you hyped for this, will they release soon? Comment below!

I’m pretty sure the new album won’t be Song Machine part 2, though just because it’s not coming now doesn’t mean it’s been scrapped/ever planned to happen. |

Agreed, had a row with my mates in uni because I said Blur were better than Oasis because they mastered many more different genres in their output but they weren’t having any of it as they basically just heard me say Oasis are shit by promoting that view which is anything but what I meant!

Oasis recorded many great songs but Blur's output was a lot more diverse.

I saw both Blur and Oasis live many times in the 1990s. On most occasions, I wore the other band's t-shirt

I always preferred Blur and I still do. But Oasis remain amazing as well so it’s all good!
