As you may remember, the Buzzjack Ultimate Movie Song started in January this year and we have reached the results! 60 songs are in the final and they will be presented in a results countdown now. Please predict away the winner, top 10 and however much you want (maybe even the top 60 tongue.gif ) smile.gif
The results will be starting later today (they were going to start tonight but alas I'm tired so tomorrow it is and I didn't realise how many ties I needed to break!). Prepare for many shocks and hopefully a good countdown and enjoy!

56. (NE) 123 (11 Votes) Bryan Adams - Everything I Do (I Do It For You) (Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves) (56) (15th, S2)
57. (NE) 123 (8 Votes) The Cast Of The Lion King - Can You Feel The Love Tonight (The Lion King) (57) (17th, S1)
58. (NE) 121 Jennifer Hudson - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going (Dreamgirls) (58) (20th, S3)
59. (NE) 116 Irene Cara - Fame (Fame) (59) (10th, S1)
60. (NE) 112 Madonna - American Pie (The Next Best Thing) (60) (19th, S2)

Every single song passed the 100 point milestone in the end after a massive 39 (I think) votes came in! Finishing last is Madonna with number #1 hit American Pie which only just made it in the final and it's support didn't really increase at all in the final. Shame this finished so low as it's a really good Madonna track I believe!

Finishing just ahead was classic hit Fame and is the lower of the 2 Irene Cara movie hits, If I'm honest I actually prefer the 2009 Fame version (despite the movie being absolutely awful) but I still like this version as well. This also had a big drop from the semi where it managed to finished top 10!

After beating out two songs by one point to qualify for the final, Jennifer doesn't do much better here with power ballad And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going from Dreamgirls which is easily one of my favourite musicals of all time wub.gif Jennifer stole the show in the movie and scored an Oscar win for her performance in Dreamgirls.

Despite being last for a long time, maximum points from Haus and Tim and high scores from Jade and Kieran saved Can You Feel The Love Tonight from finishing bottom. This is the lower version of CYFTLT in this countdown as Elton John's version is yet to come! I prefer Elton's version of this but I prefer the cast version of Circle Of Life which sadly missed the final sad.gif

Last of all for this section is the horrifying Bryan Adams 'song' from one of the many Robin Hood movies and I'm glad this did badly in the final because it really is awful! Shame it didn't miss the final altogether.

Poor Bryan Adams not getting success here as opposed to the UK chart :')
I wasn't much of a fan anyway so no loss there.

Perhaps for Bryan Adams that 16-week run at #1 did for him in this rate.

51. (NE) 127 (12 Votes) Anna Kendrick - Cups (Pitch Perfect) (51) (13th, S1)
52. (NE) 127 (9 Votes) Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing (The Bodyguard) (52) (15th, S3)
53. (NE) 126 Lea Salonga And Brad Kane - A Whole New World (Aladdin) (53) (11th, S2)
54. (NE) 125 Seal - Kiss From A Rose (Batman Forever) (54) (13th, S1)
55. (NE) 124 Etta James - At Last (Rain Man) (55) (18th, S2)

The beautiful At Last by Etta James just about sneaks into the top 55 by 1 point and it is a beautiful song, however one I don't really associate with being in a movie.

Possibly worse than Bryan Adams, Seal thankfully also exits early which should see some members rejoicing about (especially Cody!). It just bores me and I'm glad it didn't do very well here.

Again another song I don't like too much finishes in 53rd, mostly because I don't like Aladdin that much. Anyway it's way better than the Peter Andre/Katie Price version and scored a few high points!

I Have Nothing was actually beating Whitney's signature hit for quite a while but it stopped getting points mostly in the 2nd half so I Have Nothing fell away from a quite high position down to the bottom 10. This is one of 5 songs from The Bodyguard in the top 120 and one of 2 in the top 60!

Anna Kendrick's amazing Cups from the fantastic comedy Pitch Perfect just misses out on a top 50 place and I'm a bit surprised that it was the only Pitch Perfect song nominated at all due to how popular it is on buzzjack (though I don't think the 2nd film was out when nominations occurred!). Cups is a fantastic pop song and I am glad it made the final *.*

The top 50 will start tomorrow smile.gif

46. (NE) 142 Pharrell Williams - Happy (Despicable Me 2) (46) (14th, S2)
47. (NE) 140 Bill Medley And Jennifer Warnes - I've Had The Time Of My Life (Dirty Dancing) (47) (8th, S1)
48. (NE) 136 Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Mya, Pink - Lady Marmalade (Moulin Rouge) (48) (6th, S1)
49. (NE) 131 The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby (Yellow Submarine) (49) (19th, S1)
50. (NE) 130 Bee Gees - Stayin Alive (Saturday Night Fever) (50) (16th, S1)

Stayin Alive does well and just about manages the top 50. I like the song but I didn't know it was from a movie until this countdown!

I'm very surprised to see Eleanor Rigby being the highest Beatles track (though not the highest with Paul McCartney on) as I thought it was less well regarded than all time classics such as twist and shout and ticket to ride!

Lady Marmalade easily had one of the worst falls from the semi to the final as it received over 200 less points and nearly finished top 5 in the semi to missing the top 45 here! I love the song- especially Christina's and Mya's parts so it's a shame that it didn't do that well after a strong start.

I've Had The Time Of My Life was another song that fell from a high position in the semi's to a quite poor position in the final. It is an all time classic and the lift of course is one of the main parts of its legacy!

And one of the biggest selling songs of all time enters in #46 with the feel good Happy which was from the movie Despicable Me 2 which was released about a half a year before Happy suddenly blowed up around the world! It is a great pop song and always very cheery so I'm glad it did well here despite getting quite a bit of hate on buzzjack for its massive success.

Some amazing results happening here! Some overrated tripe going out this early is very, VERY pleasing to see <3 'And I Am Telling You...' being the most obvious one! In the words of Michael SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

'Cups' is surprisingly low. I envisioned top 20 at the very least for it sad.gif 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' & 'A Whole New World' are also really low sad.gif

41. (NE) 149 Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman (Crossroads) (41) (12th, S2)
42. (NE) 147 Paul McCartney And Wings - Live And Let Die (Live And Let Die) (42) (16th, S3)
43. (NE) 146 Lana Del Rey - Young And Beautiful (The Great Gatsby) (43) (17th, S3)
44. (NE) 145 (13 Votes) Pink - God Is A DJ (Mean Girls) (44) (18th, S1)
45. (NE) 145 (12 Votes) Elton John - Circle Of Life (The Lion King) (45) (12th, S1)

The 2nd of the 3 Lion King songs in the final falls out at #45 as Elton John's version is the lower of his 2 songs from the Disney classic. I personally prefer the cast version of Circle Of Life so it was a shame to see it miss out on the final!

God Is A DJ was by miles the last song to get of 0 points- I was the 1st one to give it points and there were about 15 voters before me! However it started picking up quite a lot of votes and is of course from classic quotable Mean Girls! Massive improvement from the semi as well!

Lana's beautiful Young And Beautiful is by far the highest and I think only song to qualify from The Great Gatsby and is also by far the highest Lana song from her countless movie soundtracks. YAB is such a beautiful song so great to see it do well here heart.gif

Live And Let Die beats all the Beatles song I believe and just misses the top 40, it is a great Bond theme and the only one higher I think is of course Adele!

And one of the biggest popstars ever just misses the top 40. Britney's I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman is quite good but easily one of her weakest tracks. Of course she still has one track remaining in Everytime, just how far can that go?

These Lion King tracks being eliminated so quickly! drama.gif I think it's just hit me just how far into the new generation we are. cry.gif 'Young & Beautiful' is so gorgeously used in 'The Great Gatsby', it has made me appreciate it a whole lot more than if I was to just hear it on the radio as her new single or whatever. 'I'm Not A Girl...' is beautiful too, but there are not only better songs in this contest, but in her discography! Great to see it do well here though. wub.gif

36. (NE) 173 (11 Votes) Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me (Up Close And Personal) (36) (18th, S3)
37. (NE) 171 Irene Cara - Flashdance (What A Feeling) (Flashdance) (37) (5th, S2)
38. (NE) 164 LeAnn Rimes - How Do I Live? (Con Air) (38) (11th, S1)
39. (NE) 160 Kate Winslet - What If (Christmas Carol: The Movie) (39) (14th, S3)
40. (NE) 159 Miley Cyrus - The Climb (Hannah Montana: The Movie) (40) (6th, S2)

Being one of two massive strugglers after a fantastic semi final result in this section, The Climb just about makes the top 40 and is the only song from Hannah Montana: The Movie to make the final. The song is easily one of her best and a beautiful ballad and was the winners single in X-Factor for Joe McElderry.

One of my favourite songs of the whole competition here is easily the absolutely stunning and beautiful What If by movie actress Kate Winslet which did really well here! The song went top 10 at the start of the millennium and is hauntingly fabulous wub.gif

LeAnn Rimes disappointed a bit here as I thought she'd be a bit higher with movie classic How Do I Live which is a great song!

The 2nd of the big plummets from the semi in this section is for Irena Cara with Flashdance which stormed into the top 5 in Semi 2 but freefalls here. It is another all time movie classic that has a fantastic legacy but it is a big surprise it missed the top 20 in my view.

On the other hand, Celine Dion has an astronomical climb from the semi where it struggled to do great here with Because You Loved Me which I would say was the weakest of her 3 to make it to the stage before the final. Anyway Celine of course has one more song to come, how well will my heart will go on do?!

31. (NE) 183 (15 Votes) Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat (Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1) (31) (20th, S2)
32. (NE) 183 (12 Votes) Alanis Morissette - Uninvited (City Of Angels) (32) (20th, S1)
33. (NE) 178 Sixpence None The Richer - Kiss Me (She's All That) (33) (19th, S3)
34. (NE) 176 Dido - Here With Me (Love Actually) (34) (15th, S1)
35. (NE) 173 (14 Votes) Louis Armstrong - What A Wonderful World (Good Morning Vietnam) (35) (14th, S1)

What A Wonderful World is an all time classic and a beautiful jazz track so it is great to see it do well here, I also remember it being used quite heavily in the advertising for The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

Dido does very well here but I don't really remember this track and tbh I don't remember most of her songs bar the beautiful white flag!

Kiss Me is a song I always forget was from a movie, it featured in the amazing She's All That and Kiss Me is definitely an all time classic and a song I love to sing-a-long to wub.gif

Two songs which both finished as the last qualifier in their respective semi's and both only got through by 6 points, both do excellently in the final by just missing out on top half positions. As well as both qualifying by 6 points, they also both finish on the same score in the final! Alanis' beautiful Uninvited is the lower of the 2 and got many high scores from members such as Regina and Liam.

The other one is my favourite Lorde song Yellow Flicker Beat from the always excellent Hunger Games soundtracks (barring a few tracks!). I am glad to see it do well here after it didn't exactly set the charts on fire and I think this is way better than her other Hunger Games song!

26. (NE) 207 Roxette - It Must Have Been Love (Pretty Women) (26) (7th, S3)
27. (NE) 205 Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger (Rocky) (27) (9th, S1)
28. (NE) 204 Aaliyah - Try Again (Romeo Must Die) (28) (7th, S1)
29. (NE) 198 The Calling - Wherever You Will Go (Coyote Ugly) (29) (9th, S2)
30. (NE) 196 John Travolta Ft Olivia Newton-John - You're The One That I Want (Grease) (30) (8th, S3)

A bigger jump in points in this section and unlike the last section where they all missed the top 10 in the semi's, these 5 all made the top 10! Starting us off is quite surprisingly the only Grease song to make the final in all time classic You're The One That I Want which is such an amazing pop song!

The calling's painful squealing somehow makes the top half. The less said about that the better. However Charlene Soraria's version is beautiful.

The first song to pass 200 points in the final is Aaliyah with the great Try Again which did very well here.

Survivor's all time movie classic from the Rocky franchise did quite well here after a poor start which saw it struggling and it is definitely such a fantastic anthem which can always get you into a good and motivational mood!

I've been very surprised at Roxette's semi and final performance as I didn't think it would do too well, anyway here the good movie song from Pretty Women sits pretty in 26th!

21. (NE) 226 James Newton Howard Ft Jennifer Lawrence - The Hanging Tree (Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1) (21) (10th, S2)
22. (NE) 224 Destiny's Child - Independent Women Part 1 (Charlie's Angels) (22) (7th, S2)
23. (NE) 217 Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You (The Bodyguard) (23) (5th, S1)
24. (NE) 216 Berlin - Take My Breath Away (Top Gun) (24) (16th, S2)
25. (NE) 208 Randy Newman - You've Got A Friend In Me (Toy Story) (25) (17th, S2)

You've Got A Friend In Me is the 3rd highest song from an animation movie and does excellently here after struggling to qualify! It is such a sweet song and was from the first ever fully computer animated movie Toy Story which has made the final of the animation bracket. You've Got A Friend In Me lyrics are amazing and it is such a good song heart.gif

Despite being the 3rd last song to get off 0 points, Berlin started to do very well picking up loads of points and finishing in my lucky number of 24 with Take My Breath Away from Top Gun.

After a shockingly bad most of the game which saw it around the 50th mark and behind I Have Nothing a lot of the time, I Will Always Love You got loads of huge points from the last 10 voters and saw it bounce up to still a disappointing but not too bad finish of 23rd. It is my favourite Whitney song and is a fantastic cover!

I don't whether I like Independent Women or not but it does very well here, this is the end of Destiny's Child involvement in this year's game but not the end for Beyoncé yet!

And the last song to miss the top 20 is The Hanging Tree which has done surprisingly great in both rounds and was also a surprise chart hit at the end of last year. It will be interesting to see how it holds up but this is a very good start for it and it is the highest song from The Hunger Games franchise here!
