Yes it wasn't anywhere near as funny as some of Paul Feig's other movies but it has a very likeable lead cast and the twist that everyone else apparently saw coming from miles away, came as a surprise to me. So I loved that, so sad that they couldn't end up together |

Maybe I'm a massive humbug but I thought this was one of the worst films I've seen in a while. I thought the script was weak, the acting poor and the ending predictable. Thank God for Emma Thompson who was the only person to get any laughs in the screening I was in...

I'm so sick of seeing this advertised everywhere, not that I had any interest in seeing it anyway. YOU CAN'T MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF A SONG

Honestly wasn’t expecting this to be anything more than a basic Christmas rom-com, and even though the first hour or so definitely feels that way the last half an hour is great tbh. I wasn’t expecting that and the end definitely had me smiling

I must say this was kind of endearingly shit?
I liked it but it was a bit lame. Emma Thompson really did steal the show. And that ending 😩 I just can’t. Even moreso when I think of the actual lyrics to Wham ! |
