I'll likely be trying for Manchester; feeling so excited this morning!

Posted by: SmileyKylie Feb 23 2018, 11:56 AM

Going for London 26th me thinks......

Also thinking extra date London 28th maybe if demand high ....... 😎

Posted by: Josh! Feb 23 2018, 04:04 PM

I've really been getting into the Kylie classics recently and "Dancing" is genuinely one of my favourite singles by her already so I'm thinking of going to the Newcastle date with some friends. I'm sure she'd put on a great show and I'd love to hear some of the oldies live ("Love At First Sight" and "Better the Devil You Know" especially *.*)

Posted by: liamk97 Feb 23 2018, 04:14 PM

She seems to love Love At First Sight so that's bound to be performed. Glad you're getting into Kylie, Josh!

Posted by: Regina Feb 23 2018, 06:32 PM

Bluegrass ATL please Mini

Posted by: liamk97 Feb 25 2018, 02:33 PM

^^ I'm down for that! *.*

Posted by: liamk97 Feb 26 2018, 05:38 PM

Tickets available from 10am this Friday!

Posted by: Mikee1981 Feb 28 2018, 10:32 AM

Tickets booked for Leeds .... She isn't cheap is she lol ... was just under £97 for tickets £109 nearly total

Posted by: Jay ☆ Feb 28 2018, 02:02 PM

Got Gold Circle for Nottingham!! wub.gif So expensive (around £165 for each ticket), but I'm sure she'll be absolutely worth it. It'll be great to see her up close! For Kiss Me Once I was quite far away in one of the blocks towards the back.

Posted by: Nick Jonas Feb 28 2018, 02:13 PM

Not going this time, already got Britney twice in August tongue.gif

Posted by: liamk97 Feb 28 2018, 02:45 PM

Even more stressful than getting Britney tickets, but I managed to bag a Golden Circle ticket for Manchester! cheer.gif

Posted by: Josh! Feb 28 2018, 08:19 PM

Got two standing tickets for the Newcastle date so I'm going with a friend and I'm super excited for it!

Going to be listening to her Best Of... playlist at any possible moment. Just hoping the new album is even half as good as some of the classics, I have high hopes after "Dancing" too wub.gif

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn Mar 2 2018, 10:36 AM

Got tickets for the O2 on September 26th.

Cannot. Phucking. Wait.

New London date added, Friday September 28
Presale this Wednesday

Is the tour going worldwide?

Posted by: liamk97 Apr 9 2018, 02:17 PM

I was wondering that, maybe more will be announced for next year closer to the time. Can't see her not doing Australia and a few European dates.

Apparently some European dates will be announced when she is in Germany shortly doing some TV/promo appearances

Posted by: Red Blooded Man Apr 9 2018, 03:53 PM

I hope she comes to Hong Kong...

Posted by: ___∆___ Apr 30 2018, 12:10 AM

Was really hoping for a NY show or two to be announced while she was here but I guess after her previously saying touring the US would be like putting a blow torch to her bank account that it’s never going to happen - pleased that she is doing NY Pride though.

From https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/podcasts/8464026/pop-shop-podcast-kylie-minogue-talks-tour-plans-golden-album:

QUOTE
As for the tour’s set list? “We know we've got a good starting point with songs from this album, and everything else on top of that is… that's where the difficulties start. Which older songs do we choose? And how many surprise moments that are a little more obscure do we put in for super fans? It's a fun, yet slightly stressful part of the process.”

Minogue says that she is “pretty settled on a set list,” though once she gets into proper rehearsals for the tour, there’s “normally a 5-10 percent” portion of the set list that will get “massaged.”

While Minogue won’t divulge the full set list, she does acknowledge two Golden tracks are definitely in the lineup: “Raining Glitter” and “Lost Without You.”

“‘Raining Glitter’ is so much fun to perform live. Literally, that's like you've just all had a packet of candy. We absolutely love it and the audience joins in on the 'whoops!' (lyrics in the song). They get it wrong half the time which is hilarious. We love that. So, 'Raining Glitter,' check!

“‘Lost Without You’ is a bonus track on the deluxe album, but it's one that literally… it does something to me. It's kind of on the framework and the feel of everything else in Golden where… (there's still) a lot of synth-pop, but there's, of course, the influence of country. We've got some more organic sounds in there this time. Lyrically and melodically, you can definitely hear the country influence. ‘Lost Without You,’ we think is probably on the outskirts, and maybe the more modern end of Nashville. I can tell you that is going in the tour because I want to experience that song live.”

The Golden Tour currently has dates lined up through Oct. 8 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but only so far has one date scheduled outside of the U.K. -- an Oct. 7 stop in Dublin, Ireland. Will the tour extend to further cities -- perhaps even stops in the U.S.?

“I don't know,” Minogue says. “We're just going to try to get through the U.K. and Europe. Actually, I mean… it is the moment where all the elements are coming together for what we are designing for the show. Obviously I would love to get to as many places as I can. So, yeah, watch this space. But we'll see.”

So 'Raining Glitter' and 'Lost Without You' basically confirmed to appear. I think we can assume the likes of 'Breathe', 'All the Lovers', 'Hand On Your Heart', 'Put Yourself in My Place' - songs that have been performed during various underplay gigs - will be included too.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Jul 5 2018, 01:22 AM

Ya I think so too and dancing and stop me from falling are def aswell which ensures at least 4 songs from golden and it's likely golden will also make it.

European dates are 'Kylie Presents Golden', rather than the Golden tour that the UK and Ireland are getting.
They are scaled down Kylie and band type shows.

Also, Danish date is to be added shortly

Full list of new dates now confirmed by Kylie's Twitter:

I am under the impression that the tour will be much smaller-scaled than her previous tour...

UK/Ireland Golden Tour - same scale as usual Kylie shows
European Kylie Presents Golden - smaller theatre styled shows. Scaled down version

Aussie dates will be Golden Tour

Maybe he means the number of dates? It does seem a little less than she usually does.

I saw Kylie at the Zenith in Paris for the KMO tour and it was sold out, when I saw the venue this time I assumed it would be a lot smaller but it’s actually not (Zenith 6,293 capacity, La Seine 6,000 capacity). Looking at the list the venues in Europe are of a similar size to what she normally does but she’s chosen some places that will make the shows feel more intimate.

Kylie played AccorHotels Arena during the Kiss Me Once Tour and it was indeed almost sold out, that's why they wanted to film the DVD there but the costs were too high to film and they went for the Glasgow date

Posted by: liamk97 Aug 26 2018, 12:16 PM

Crazy to think the tour is starting in less than a month! ohmy.gif It felt so far away when I booked tickets and now it's nearly here! (I'm going to the Manchester date so it's a bit more than a month for me, but still, hype!).

Wonder when we'll start getting teasers of a set list.

Two halves with an intermission, intriguing! ohmy.gif

Can't believe it's only 18 days until my date, very much hope it'll be as big as some of her best tours. As much as I enjoyed the Kiss Me Once tour, it wasn't quite the same 'spectacle' that a Kylie tour normally is, in the vein of say, Fever, Showgirl or Aphrodite.

I don't think it will be quite the spectacle of something like Aphrodite Les Folies, just because of the feel of the era and the sound of the album etc. Kylie's said something on the lines of she wanted the intimacy and warmth of the promo gigs but in a way that is adaptable to an arena. I think if anything seems smaller in production, it will be done authentically and you won't be left want something more. I can see there being a big band whose performances will magnify everything, like when the band at Hyde Park broke into 'The Chain' by Fleetwood Mac.

Confirmed that there will be no support act: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/no-support-act-kylie-minogue-15137618

Yeah, I'm definitely not expecting anything like Aphrodite, but of all her tours since Fever onwards, they've all felt like a big production. Granted, X2008 was more stripped back than Showgirl with a more basic staging etc, but it still very much felt 'big'. Kiss Me Once just lacked that in some ways I feel.

Golden definitely does feel like something intimate, so hopefully it all translates well in an arena setting, which I'm sure it will. The lack of a support act is good news too (assuming the showtime is longer than your average concert like she says) *.*

Fantastic! ohmy.gif Potentially one of her longest shows to date then?

My only irk with that is the amount of people that will undoubtedly leave for the toilet/food/drinks during the interval and return 10 minutes into the second half. kink.gif

Posted by: liamk97 Sep 13 2018, 09:05 PM

My ticket came today, eek! Mine says doors open at 6pm so I assume she'll be starting early than 8pm for my date (Manchester)?

Doors open 6pm most places for the amount of security there is... my Leeds tickets doors open 6pm show starts 8pm and email today informs to get there as close to doors opening as possible for strict security

Missing Golden tracks:

Sincerely Yours
Live a Little
Love
Music's Too Sad Without You
Every Little Part of Me
Rollin'
Low Blow

Gutted that Music's Too Sad... isn't on there and surprised there's no Sincerely Yours as it was meant to be a song aimed at the fans.

However, there are some absolutely GOLDEN GEMS on there! The One, Confide in Me, Where the Wild Roses Grow, In Your Eyes and I'll Still Be Loving You!! Cannot wait for those! Surprised at the lack of Put Yourself in My Place and no Dolly Parton cover given how they've been used during the year.

Posted by: Red Blooded Man Sep 19 2018, 01:23 AM

I am surprised she didn't sing Sincerely Yours...

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Sep 19 2018, 01:25 AM

A few surprises for sure of some songs left off. Good to see plenty of album tracks making in which is on contrast to the kiss me once tour

Posted by: Calum Sep 19 2018, 06:50 AM

Surprised Sincerely Yours has been left out, but it looks like a brilliant set nonetheless!

I really hope Lost Without You is there to stay, as on the Kiss Me Once tour by the time she got around to the Glasgow date, she'd changed the setlist up and I didn't get to hear Sexy Love live (which I was anticipating a lot). sad.gif

I got one too cheer.gif I think they are limited to 250 per show rather than total tour (But I could be wrong though!), people are already trying their luck selling them for £300+ on eBay. Bit disappointed with the signature as it’s in biro rather than a bold pen.

Yes, I bought quite a lot - there are tees, programme, mug, posters, lithograph, retro tote bag (Very cool!), patches etc., lots of unofficial but really nice posters sold outside the venue too.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn Sep 19 2018, 08:36 AM

Where the fuck is 'Sincerely Yours'? That's the one I was most looking forward to.

No 'Live a Little' or 'Music's Too Sad...' either. sad.gif

I'm still excited for this though, my friend was in the Gold Circle at Newcastle last night and sent me lots of pictures + videos.

I had such a fantastic time, so fabulous to see her up close! heart.gif For the first half my friend & I were by the side of the catwalk, but for the second act we moved to be at the front of the b stage, which I preferred! There was only one person directly in front of me. Most people with golden circle tickets had opted to go between the main stage and b stage area, but you could also be on the outer side of the catwalk and far less people decided to position themselves there. I had the most perfect view of her performing The One. wub.gif

She didn’t actually perform Breathe, unfortunately. sad.gif

I Believe in You was a really great surprise, it's one of my favourites, so glad she added it. She also performed Tears on My Pillow, which was a cute moment (and possibly done as a one off for Nottingham?).

I have to admit that when I first saw the set list the other day I was slightly underwhelmed by it. However when actually seeing it played out, it made more sense and really worked. For instance I was a bit "ugh" to see that Kids was included, but funnily enough that ended up being one of the songs I shouted sang along most passionately to, it was a really enjoyable performance - definitely a crowd pleaser.

Dancing and Stop Me From Falling went down soooo well with the audience. It felt like everyone really came alive for those songs, every singing/dancing along to them, to the extent they felt like they were classics from her discography! It shows that the singles chart positions don't tell the full story any more... they've certainly connected with the fan base and even the casuals. I could definitely see them remaining as staples in her tour set lists in the future.

Other highlights for me included Lost Without You (truly a moment to see this live wub.gif ), Spinning Around (a very energetic performance) an I loved the new mix of Wow, it's really freshened it up.

Ahhh, I’m on such a post concert high! What a woman. wub.gif I hope everyone here who's going will have a brilliant time too!

Glad you had fun, Jay! I too am in the Golden Circle so I'll aim towards the b stage if that's just as good a view and less people (although I guess word may get round by the time of my date!).

Us fans always moan when we see 'Kids' there every time but you're right that it's a huge crowd pleaser and reaches out to the most causal of fans. I know I'll enjoy belting it out!

So pleased to hear some of the Golden songs are cementing their place in Kylie's discography. 'Dancing' for sure is going to keep coming back after the era is finished.

Posted by: liamk97 Sep 21 2018, 10:55 PM

Tonight's setlist remained the same as last night aside from no 'Tears On My Pillow' acapella. She might have sang something else but it's not on setlist.fm.

Posted by: aeroco Sep 21 2018, 11:00 PM

She did perform that same song acapella tonight in Birmingham :-).

Posted by: hexschofield Sep 22 2018, 09:28 PM

I saw the tour in Birmingham last night, wow. I have seen all Kylie tours since Fever and this one is brilliant. Stripped back but I love Kylie concentrating on vocals and giving everything to every song. I took a friend last night who said wow who knew Kylie could sing like that - she was blown away as I was.

No spoilers but enjoy the show everyone, I return to the show on Monday in Cardiff in the Golden Circle and I cannot wait to enjoy it all over agin.

The studio 54 bit when she walks in to New York City is just amazing. So professional, camp and shows why she has longevity

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn Sep 27 2018, 09:27 AM

I enjoyed last night! It was nice to see her looking so naturally happy, comfortable and confident.

The two highlights for me were 'Confide In Me' and 'Lost Without You'. I found the performance of 'I Believe In You' bored me though, and she'd totally Steps-ified 'In Your Eyes' (in a reductive way). Splicing 'Slow' with 'Being Boiled' was quite inspired.

Had such a fantastic time on Wednesday night wub.gif There was a good mix of classics and Golden tracks and I think she mostly picked well. I hadn't seen the setlist before so didn't really have any expectations, but I was so pleased by the inclusions of Get Outta My Way and On a Night Like This (even if the latter wasn't quite in full) as I wasn't sure if they'd actually be performed or not. My top highlight was Lost Without You - already a highlight from Golden, made even more incredible by the brilliant staging and the laserlights wub.gif

Posted by: liamk97 Sep 28 2018, 08:53 PM

Glad you had fun Joseph! Lost Without You seems to be a favourite for everyone, I bet Kylie is pleased she fought for its inclusion on the album and tour. Maybe the reaction will encourage the record company to release as a single, even if it is a bonus track? Wishfull thinking!

Had an incredible night! It really was spectacular in so many ways. Nothing seemed out of place on the setlist, and like others have said before it seems she really focused on the vocals for this tour, because they were on point the whole evening! It probably worked well too that there weren't so many theatrics (i.e Showgirl, X2008, Aphrodite), and it was more about simply storytelling via the music, so everything else was sculpted and came together through that.

It's probably, for me, one of her most memorable tours. I don't think I've experienced such an electric atmosphere in the Hydro before. The crowd interactions with the likes of Better the Devil You Know, Especially For You, Stop Me From Falling and Dancing were excellent. The latter two I can definitely see cementing themselves as fan favourites / tour staples already.

As most have already said, the highlight of the night for me was definitely Lost Without You. The laser show was fantastic, and her vocals were probably at their strongest for this! wub.gif I was pleasantly surprised by a few songs too! Kids absolutely went OFF, and both Golden and A Lifetime to Repair have grown on me massively after hearing them live (they're among my favourites on Golden, but they'd probably now be right up there with Stop Me From Falling and Dancing) - they're both gems.

Just proves that with music so close to her heart and that she's truly invested in, she really can give the show of a lifetime, and an unforgettable experience for everybody there! heart.gif

(Also managed to pick up the programme, postcard set and the bandana *.*)

I had an absolute blast last night. It reinforced why I have been a Kylie fan all my life and even made me love her even more, if that was possible. She had the audience in the palm of her hand from the get go. Everyone in the Golden Circle were lost in euphoria and by the looks of things all the seated audience spent the entire time on their feet. Even the back-to-back Shelby '68 and Radio On (aside from a couple of people who used it as an opportunity to go to the bar) saw all the people around me singing along to the choruses. She sang fantastically. She danced fantastically. The crowd interaction was so genuine and authentic - the "yass" moment was hilarious and Kylie's reaction was great, she really took it lightheartedly. By the end, she was so overwhelmed and humbled by the reaction of the arena. She really enjoys her work and it's easy to see exactly why she has remained a huge name for all these years. Yet, she still doesn't get the recognition she does. I think because she's a pop star and one with a big gay following makes it easy for music snobs to turn their noses up, but I certainly know for me that she had the power to take me out of life's problems and stresses and just get lost in the music and the atmosphere. Seeing her perform my favourites likes Better the Devil You Know, In Your Eyes, I Believe in You, The One, All the Lovers, On a Night Like This... was incredible and the Golden songs instantly cemented themselves as classics. A Lifetime to Repair with its countdown and chorus particularly went OFF. I wish I could be taken back to that moment again, but I live with memories and some super close up footage (including that "yaaasss" moment which I'm so thrilled I recorded, even if it was captured by the official recording) that will give me some escapism whenever I need it.

God bless, Kylie, and thank you. You are the one, indeed. x

She did cancel some Germany/Austria dates for Kiss Me Once Tour but due to financial issues.

Showgirl was originally cancelled here when kylie announced about her cancer. The light years tour was also cancelled here due to bad weather as we had snow snd it was an airport issue , and golden is the third time it's happened to me with kylie concerts where it hasn't gone ahead.while these things happen it's expensive as where I live is a 4 hour drive to where the concerts are snd unfortunately with hotel bookings and train tickets u don't get all the money back as it's last minute, myself,my wife and my 17 year old daughter are just making it a night away now as we have the money paid but the good is gone out of it..my daughter isn't fussed either way as she is neither a fan or not a fan of kylie but wanted to go where myself and my wife are fans and we're really excited ( I'm the bigger fan). When kylie re schedules I hope it will work out with time off work and I'm slightly worried it won't.

Kylie and her team need to do some bit of damage limitation in Ireland. The fact that is wasn't great at Leeds but still only cancelled Dublin gig at 1pm is being widely promoted. The 2001 Dublin gig for on a night like this was never rescheduled so this has left a bitter taste with some fans. A chat show appearance would do wonders and it's only an hours flight from London.

Posted by: pippa Oct 8 2018, 01:11 PM

Indeed, some of the Irish fans, appear somewhat disgruntled by this and it only announced at 1pm appears to have annoyed some people which is understanding.
That said, maybe Kylie thought she would be able to go head up to that point.

Posted by: ___∆___ Oct 8 2018, 02:13 PM

It’s baffling that Kylie doesn’t promote in Ireland considering it’s an hours flight? Should be one of her easiest markets to actually do something in even if the returns are not huge she could make a big difference to her sales by doing Irish promo.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Oct 8 2018, 11:37 PM

Exactly my thoughts and I've thought it for a while, she could fly in and do an interview and be back in the uk all in about 6 hours. Sometimes I feel it's long over due and I know revenue from sales is low but a certification is a certification regardless e.g it could potentially help her have a platinum selling album as so many of her singles have done better here than in the UK snd Australia and sales wise Ireland and Australia are fairly similar.

Posted by: pippa Oct 9 2018, 02:02 PM

From reading the comments, The Irish fans appear to have got the short straw for some time.
It must be frustrating when it is one of Kylie;s most successful countries since the start of her career.
Us UK fans are extremely lucky as we in large are top of the list.

Get Outta My Way is my favourite song ever. It would be better in the Disco bit.... got lost at the beginning of Uk dates

Posted by: liamk97 Nov 9 2018, 08:52 AM

I thought it worked well as a follow-up to Golden. I know some fans that were unsure of Golden being a show opener so Get Outta My Way probably reassured them that momentum wouldn't be lost. I agree that it equally could have worked in the disco section though.

Posted by: Calum Nov 9 2018, 09:06 AM

Is she doing arenas in Europe or is it smaller venues? Looking at her Instagram it seems the production has been scaled down a fair bit. The setlist still looked great nonetheless!

Seems to be scaled down for Europe. It's being promoted as Kylie Presents Golden rather than Golden Tour.

blink.gif I think a Kylie concert is one of the places that everyone can be who they want to be and if that means ‘the usual queens screaming’ (The ones likely to have supported her in her flop years and will also spend €300+ on concert tickets) then so be it!

Agreed, reading that Smiley Kylie comment made me feel uncomfortable. Wouldn't have thought a Kylie fan would have that sort of poor attitude.

Posted by: pippa Nov 19 2018, 09:33 PM

Kylie pulls in a great crowd, always a complete mixture and everyone just enjoys the shows.
I don't particularly like the "Usual Queens Screaming" comment myself as i think it is a pointless and un-needed thing to say.
There is a tendency to group Kylie;s fans as "screaming queens", and i dont think we as fans should be feeding it.

Think I've decided that 'The One' is my favourite performance from the Golden Tour. wub.gif

Posted by: PINKFUNQ Nov 24 2018, 08:43 PM

I saw her in Amsterdam this Thursday. My review in a nutshell.

heart.gif

-Her loveable and approachable personality.
-The disco section. This is, imo, where Kylie shines and is at her best.
-Songs like 'Kids' and 'Slow' in a different, more 'rock' version.
-Trying to tell a story with the 'Golden' album combined with classics.

thinking.gif

-Some of her hits getting the 'Golden' treatment. 'Wow' and some others sounded annoying/boring without the electronic vibes.
-The show, at times, felt like 'High school musical' for adults.
-Trying to tell a story with the 'Golden' album combined with classics.

7/10

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Dec 4 2018, 03:29 AM

I'm hoping she has pre recorded a chat show interview while here and also she will back in the chart on friday.

Posted by: liamk97 Dec 4 2018, 06:20 AM

What a lovely gesture regarding the Irish shows!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Dec 4 2018, 11:54 AM

It def shows she is aware she had to make it up to her Irish fans and this is impressive.

Looking forward to seeing the performances on YouTube and intrigued to see if we'll see any different tracks make an appearance on the setlist.

I think we may see “cowboy style” since it was a single there

No major changes to the setlist, apart from 'Radio On' being removed' and 'A Lifetime to Repair' being moved to the end of Act I instead of Act II.

Posted by: pippa Mar 5 2019, 03:37 PM

Great that the shows went down well for the fans.
I would expect Golden to return to the Australian chart.

That is a very solid review.
I did pay attention to the line Kylie lost the author and many others around Body Language, X and Aphrodite time.
It is an interesting point as i would have thought X brought people back that Kylie lost in the Body Language era.
Aphrodite provided All The Lovers which is one of her biggest selling hits.

Posted by: adancing Mar 7 2019, 02:45 PM

That body language album was the worst step in her career from single choices to song choices...
I mean refusing a song like toxic for some songs on that album??!
I guess she was drunk on success and sunk down, many people came back with her single I believe in you which was a great return for her and a great airlay success plus a quality title with mainstream appeal...
The formula of this song was rehashed and All the lovers was created which was a great song and instant classic.
Dancing was a clever lead single this time around, if it was released properly with single and physical impact on same week with Tv performance it would have been a top 20 hit for her, although the song suffered from bad production in my opinion.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn Mar 7 2019, 03:04 PM

To be fair, she did state once that the original demo version of 'Toxic' she first heard was wildly different to the one that ended up being for Britney, so who knows?

I can't really see that song suiting Kylie particularly anyway.

This is a point a lot of people don't realise about hits being turned down by other artists. The Toxic we know and the demo Kylie heard were likely massively different - things change.

She did something different and it didn't completely pay off. It happens. I'm glad she's been willing to take risks throughout her career, and Slow is still one of my favourite pop songs and pop videos of all time.

I would agree with your comments.
The sound she was creating around the I Believe In You, White Diamond and Giving You Up era would have been the perfect style and sound to naturally follow the massive success of Fever.
If Kylie went with that direction instead of the disappointing Body Language i believe she would have had a much greater result with a higher selling album.
I Believe In You was received very well and held in more regard than the Body Language singles.

Fingers crossed! Will keep things ticking over until the shows etc., start again.

Although a midnight announcement on Friday seems random?!

Posted by: Calum May 6 2019, 02:27 AM

Are we any further forward yet with regards to finding out if there will be a DVD or not? Will be a great shame if there isn't, but I feel like the time for it's been and gone now especially since it seems the summer shows might lean more towards focusing on Step Back In Time now.

Posted by: ___∆___ May 6 2019, 08:55 AM

^^ I think the time has passed now for us to get one nocheer.gif I never understand why acts don’t release them tbh - I know they have a limited shelf life but when you have played to 1,000s of fans there is clearly a market for them plus the cost of the tour has already been accounted for so this is an extra revenue stream.

They could have easily re-packed ‘Golden’ for the Christmas market and added a tour DVD - would have given the album a huge final boost and kept the fans happy rather than giving us yet another ‘limited edition’ cassette!

Agreed, there's definitely a market for it considering she's released almost every other tour on DVD too (even Kiss Me Once).

I get the impression that instead of going for this they decided to push the cassette novelty further which is a shame. sad.gif

Posted by: Red Blooded Man May 7 2019, 05:51 AM

I would be surprised if they don't release a DVD, I mean, think of money they will make!

Posted by: adancing May 8 2019, 08:03 PM

I think they are waiting for the summer shows to be over to release the dvd and riding on the wave of Glastonbury, I think it would be a nice strategy not to release it now...
Not releasing it at all would be a missed opportunity for cashing in and pleasing the fans.

Posted by: Medellíam May 12 2019, 02:32 PM

I'd be surprised if we didn't receive a tour DVD as we know that some of the shows were professionally filmed. I reckon they're waiting for the buzz of the summer shows to release it too; 'New York City' seems like advertisement for a Golden Tour DVD as well as the summer shows if the video is anything to go by.

i can see it being the Greatest Hits re-issued with bonus 3rd CD as the Golden DVD.

Golden should get a stand alone DVD release but ut could work as disc 3 also.

i think it will be being shown on TV first, probably BBC1. then released probably with some Glastonbury stuff too......

Probably, that would be more great exposure for her *.*

I used to love when her other tours were shown on TV (particularly Showgirl, Homecoming and X) - would always get to stay up late to watch. laugh.gif

Posted by: Jay ☆ Oct 7 2019, 04:10 PM

I wish it was coming out on Blu-ray too!

I wouldn't expect any Glastonbury content to be released. Kylie said in an interview she watched it back and was disappointed by it (the sound issues / certain things she felt she could have done better).

Posted by: pippa Oct 7 2019, 04:14 PM

There definitely was sound issues on the televised performance of Glastonbury but only in parts.

Posted by: Calum Oct 7 2019, 04:15 PM

Sound issues or not, I feel like Glastonbury's something that she'd probably watch back and be unnecessarily hard on herself about considering how monumental an occasion it was for her (and the fans!).

looks like Lost Without You is coming...... Maybe Double A side with Santa Baby smile.gif

Posted by: pippa Oct 7 2019, 06:21 PM

I dont think Lost Without You is anything special, it is a good album track, but, not single material.
I really don't understand this method of working back ways on 2 singles now.
If these songs are as good as they think, they should have become main singles from their parent album when the campaign was in full action.

Posted by: Jay ☆ Oct 7 2019, 09:24 PM

I don't think we can interpret the upload of the Lost Without You performance as an indication that it'll be a single (as much as I'd love that, it's an incredible song). I'm sure its sole intention is to be a video for people to watch and think "ooooh amazing... must buy the DVD".

Watching the performance of 'Lost Without You' took me back and reminded me of the feelings I felt the night I saw her. Those lazer scenes! wub.gif

Not sure about the ghostly effect that was used though. Hopefully that was just for the YouTube upload and not the DVD.

'Golden' performance now uploaded:

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Oct 19 2019, 11:20 AM

Golden is yet another song that I much prefer live than the studio version.

Posted by: pippa Oct 19 2019, 11:52 AM

Golden on the first few listens of the album was a song a rated as weak, and was one of least enjoyable on the album.
Through time, my opinion has greatly changed.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Oct 19 2019, 02:00 PM

Dancing and golden are 2 songs I needed to hear live before I really got into them,I was initially disappointed with dancing which I dont understand now as I love it.

Posted by: Medellíam Oct 19 2019, 04:49 PM

'Golden' really clicked with me after hearing it on tour too. I liked it previously but having it as the tour opener, with the extended intro that builds alongside your excitement, then seeing Kylie raise from the stage and start singing, it's no surprise the special memories I have attached to it have rubbed off on my enjoyment of the song itself.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Oct 19 2019, 06:59 PM

It is staged very well and that always helps a song aswell.

Posted by: pippa Oct 21 2019, 01:45 PM

The delivery of a song in a live setting can truly change a song.
Many of mentioned Come InTo My World from the Fever tour, this highlights when delivered strongly it can have an impact.
In this example, it resulted in the song moving up to single status.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Oct 21 2019, 09:56 PM

Live performances are hugely important and influential for me.

Posted by: pippa Oct 22 2019, 01:31 PM

I look forward to the heavy promotional slots coming our way over the next few weeks to see what Kylie will perform and how she presents the songs.
The airing of Golden on tv should help attract some Golden sales in addition to the SBIT collection.

Golden CD and DVD on Amazon italy

So I am guessing we have the following formats

Exclusive Kylie.com artwork deluxe CD and DVD
The above deluxe normal artwork CD and DVD
Live album 2 CD

Will they all count for CD album chart?

She could sell quite well with the above all combined

If it can count towards the CD chart it could go top 20. That cover in the link is terrible though.

But the combined version, goes to the DVD chart, is that correct?

Posted by: SmileyKylie Oct 31 2019, 11:11 PM

I think so too. And think the promo maybe more aimed at this... Plus the Golden Tour if broadvast on Bbc1 has plenty of greatest hits on there too so will sell both. Plus maybe a few 4.99 of the original Golden will sell

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 1 2019, 02:06 AM

Ya a price reduction in the golden original album would be good and may get those few extra sales.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 1 2019, 11:35 AM

Could they do some bundles?

Golden Live plus Greatest hits with a 2-3 pound discount if you buy both?

Kylie Xmas tagged on for 2.99 if you buy golden live

Etc etc

So golden live deluxe is £15 and the golden live/dvd tour is 9.99 for normal

Both look nicely packaged.

The deluxe Has nearly sold out so that's fine.

Everyone can now buy the standard. Looks great to me....

On her website it's 9.99 standard and on Amazon it's 14.99?

Wonder how many deluxe they made? 2000?

Will we get a CD only without the dvd? Looks doubtful

I think this will go top 20 on week of release, maybe 10-15 range.

She could have 2 albums in the top 40 in the same week and Golden could also sell enough for top 100 if she promotes the live version correctly as it will be priced 4.99 range. Let's see

Not sure why Amazon have it priced at 14.99.. Its only 9.99 on Kylie. Com. I know they have price pre order guarantee but...

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 2 2019, 11:30 PM

Prob selling at lower price on the website to get the sales and save them paying the fees via sales on Amazon.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 4 2019, 04:21 PM

Deluxe exclusive on her website has now SOLD OUT https://kylie.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=56250

time for everyone to buy the standard now. can i just say £10 for a 2 CD/DVD is a brilliant price. No-wonder it isnt selling on Amazon when priced at £14.99 https://kylie.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=57426

Should be selling really well on her website.....

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 4 2019, 05:38 PM

Hopefully its a sign of good opening sales.

Posted by: slowdown73 Nov 4 2019, 06:19 PM

Don’t forget Amazon do free delivery on orders over £20 but £3 delivery charge via the store so there’s only a £2 difference between the store and Amazon and often Amazon drop their prices prior to release day!

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 4 2019, 06:35 PM

Yep greed about Amazon. but if would sell it cheaper straight away as they must be losing a few sales. Hasn't gone higher than 40s on biggest sellers yet..... but she still have 5 weeks of promo before release. I think after this Friday they will hit the promo circuit a lot harder than a few tweets for both the albums.

I am thinking she may well get 5k of pre-orders for Golden Live? its hard to tell how much she sells off her own website lol.

I just don't know about the Greatest Hits re-release. I am hoping for over 10k sales in week one but not sure it is going to happen. I would love it to go top 10 on re-release week but lots of competition.

side question - how many does Andrea Rieu usually sell on release week? 20k?

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 4 2019, 06:40 PM

The first 4 in the below list should outsell Kylie, the others have potential too also. There are big release weeks 8th and 15th November also which will stay high in the charts

Coldplay
Robbie Williams
Andrea Rieu
Rod Stewart

Xmas Albums
Bing Crosby
Dionne Wawrick

Beck
Martin and Shirley
Luke Evans

Hoping it can somehow get top 10, probably top 15, worst top 20 for Step Back In Time.

Golden Live - hopefully top 10, probably top 15, worst 20 also ….

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 4 2019, 08:02 PM

I'd love golden live to make top 10 just like showgirl did.

Posted by: Jay ☆ Nov 5 2019, 12:46 AM

Oh damn, I didn’t get around to ordering the deluxe version drama.gif

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 5 2019, 11:35 AM

I'd say they will make more available.

Posted by: pippa Nov 5 2019, 02:40 PM

They are very good add reissuing releases when the demand is there for the item.
They could easily sell 2k more if made available.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 5 2019, 11:00 PM

Depends on how much was originally issued.

Posted by: pippa Nov 6 2019, 02:22 PM

If it is sold out so early i would be very surprised if they don't issue some more.

I wouldn’t hold out much hope - they didn’t release additional copies of the picture disc of SBIT and it sold out weeks before it was released.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 12 2019, 06:12 PM

As soon as Golden Live is advertised as 9.99 instead of 14.99 on Amazon then it starts selling better. 34th on best sellers at moment

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 13 2019, 02:20 AM

It should keep climbing now as the release draws closer.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 13 2019, 09:34 AM

now up to 29th on Amazon best sellers list which is highest position yet.

still 4 weeks until release so the more pre-orders the better.

not too many releases on the 6th Dec but some big selling ones in prior weeks which will continue to sell heavily throughout the weeks leading up to Xmas so all very competitive.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 13 2019, 11:43 AM

Kylie will prob get the highest new entry that week but where is hard to call.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 13 2019, 11:47 AM

The Who more likely i think

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 13 2019, 01:11 PM

Possibly but kylie could be in with a shout.

Posted by: pippa Nov 13 2019, 02:57 PM

If Kylie can keep building pre orders in addition to those who purchase on release week, the opening sales could be good.

Posted by: adancing Nov 13 2019, 08:52 PM

Anyone knows if there will be a bluray at some point? I refuse to buy a dvd at this time and age...

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 13 2019, 09:15 PM

Maybe a blue ray will come in new year after the shoeing get on tv. Lol

Doubt it.

I think it is dvd because she is just adding it to the Live CD and wants it counting in the album charts rather than dvd/blueray chart

Posted by: adancing Nov 14 2019, 09:52 PM

She could have added a bluray with the double cd like many other artists did, I mean she released a bluray in 2008 for X tour and after 11 years she goes back to a 90s format, thats insane.
Whats sad is that in case there won't be an HD release (digital or physical), the TV broadcast will be the only HD material we get of this tour... And of course they won't put the whole show on TV.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 14 2019, 11:11 PM

My sources say it is the FULL concert not just an hour edited etc.

Posted by: aeroco Nov 14 2019, 11:23 PM

Oh well we can record the concert in HD at least.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 15 2019, 10:56 AM

Def one to keep on the sky box.i hope they do show the full concert.

Posted by: pippa Nov 16 2019, 02:29 PM

I finally got around to doing my pre order to day on Amazon.
That is another pre order sale for the release.
I am truly looking forward to receiving this in the post when released.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 16 2019, 06:05 PM

I always love live CDs so this and the new take that live cd are great to be getting so near to each other.

Posted by: pippa Nov 18 2019, 03:07 PM

As a Take That fan,i am not rushing out to buy this new release as the Odyssey era is not one i have enjoyed.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 18 2019, 06:11 PM

Take That Odyssey Live CD/DVD at 3 in midweeks behind big sellers Westlife and Celine

Would love for Golden Live to do something similar and be top 10 in midweeks

Posted by: pippa Nov 18 2019, 07:29 PM

I am so shocked Take That are so high as i thought this album would struggle for a Top 20 position.
They have sales of over 10k which i feel is very possible for Kylie to repeat with her release.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 19 2019, 01:57 AM

Fingers crossed she will but sales all round will be higher then.

Posted by: SmileyKylie Nov 19 2019, 09:52 AM

Most big releases out before 6 Dec so she may have a chance of a top 15 new entry with this then if course it will plummet but fingers crossed

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Nov 19 2019, 01:19 PM

I'm not expecting a good chart run at all for this, but would love a good peak position

Posted by: pippa Nov 19 2019, 02:37 PM

A week Top 10 would be just wonderful if it could manage it.

Posted by: ___∆___ May 2 2020, 10:21 PM

Do we know total sales for this? Still disappointed it only managed 1 week Top 100 and missed the Top 20 drama.gif

Kylie fans were crying out for a DVD tour release so hopefully the investment from BMG in releasing it was worth it and we’ll get future tour releases.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever May 2 2020, 10:26 PM

At a guess I'd say 10k max, top 20 would have nice for it but I knew it wudnt do anything great chartwise.

Posted by: pippa May 2 2020, 10:34 PM

Initially I was confident of a top 20 placement and felt it would potentially go as far as Top 10.
For what it is, it charted reasonably well but yet disappointing.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever May 3 2020, 12:06 AM

Charts aside, it was a good value for money release and great for collection purposes aswell, still not keen on the album cover though.

I don’t mind the album cover as it fits in with the tour image.

I’m also pleased we got a proper web store limited edition for this release too, always good when something they claim is limited edition actual is!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever May 3 2020, 10:36 AM

Good point about the limited edition, we had the dvd on the other day in the house, still love that loco motion version.

Posted by: pippa May 4 2020, 11:46 PM

It is a great version of The Loco Motion.
It provides the song with an updated sound but loyal to Kylie's original.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever May 5 2020, 12:08 AM

I love the original and this, the loco motion has always been a big fave of mine, real feel good Kylie.
