It looks likely to either be a tenth week at #1 for Miley Cyrus or a first for Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding. Hozier could make a return to the chart with Eat Your Young, while Fred Again, Skrillex & Four Tet drop their latest track Baby again.. and Melanie Martinez makes her comeback with DEATH. There's also new singles from Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey, Nothing But Thieves, Jimin, Luke Combs and venbee, plus four previously unreleased tracks from Taylor Swift
U2's new re-recorded set Songs of Surrender should debut at #1. M83 returns with his ninth album Fantasy, Black Honey contend for their second Top 10 record with A Fistful of Peaches and 100 gecs release their long-awaited second album 10,000 gecs. There's also new releases from All Time Low, Yves Tumor, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Aly & AJ, The Answer, Kamelot, Theory of a Deadman and Invent Animate

Miracles will
Miracles will
Rock Brer
Rock Brer!!!
Miracle should at least get to #2 this week I suspect. Would love it to dislodge Flowers though.
Need miracle for miracle get number 1 of greed miley Cyrus
Hopefully All Of The Girls You Loved Before can make the top 20, its had a solid start but it might drop so not sure yet. hopefully top 40 at least. wonder if lavender haze is due for acr again? if so maybe one of the other new ones will replace it too
Join are award winning chart presenter Joseph styles Sunday 19th from 6pm as he count this week top 20 chart update
So it's looking like the chance of Pink Pantheress getting a no.1 with a clever but annoying jingle is over?
Alan Jones confirmed in his sales report that Boy's A Liar by PinkPantheress is now on ACR.
I notice that Players by Coi Leray has decreased overall sales above the market average for 3 weeks in a row so is probably on ACR as well.
There were comments on Fridays chart thread saying that Calm Down By Rema needs to go on ACR, however it has increased its overall sales for 4 weeks in a row ( last week increase by 1154 ) so it is probably still on zero weeks of decline so it is not going anywhere anytime soon.
First Look in just over 15 mins!
Hottest Record: Taylor Swift - All of the Girls You Loved Before
hope this can make the top 40 on friday but i fear it'll end up like This Love (Taylor's Version) and end in the #41-#50 region if it continues to drop streaming numbers
20 Digga D - Energy
I was expecting Digga D to be a one week wonder
this is such rubbish oop. not a fan unfortunately shame as some of diggas stuff is decent but this is sooo dreary
19 Lewis Capaldi - How I'm Feeling Now
how i'm feeling now is actually lovely. i really like it. its also quite relatable for me, hope it can become a decent hit as its soooo much better than pointless and deserves to be as big as that. maybe not a fake #1 tho
This Lew Cap song is okay... but its still very underwhelming
18 Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero
17 SZA - Kill Bill
Not a fan of any of Lewis Capaldi's songs. Sorry.
Why bother playing a song going down which is butchered to death anyway (pun intended)
16 RAYE & 070 Shake - Escapism.
glad about escapism's stability whilst on acr. hope it continues with some decent longevity into the year, soooo deserved for raye!
15 P!nk - TRUSTFALL
14 Jimin - Set Me Free, Pt. 2
ngl was not expecting this to sound the way its sounding! BANGER
First time of hearing it - didn't know it existed - and its pretty darn good
13 George Ezra - Green Green Grass
ew. this is like a turd that wont flush
Is boys a liar confirmed to be on ACR do we know?
Spring is coming. Time for green, green grass.
12 Mimi Webb - Red Flags
11 Metro Boomin, The Weeknd & 21 Savage - Creepin'
Why has this climbed again?
I have no idea why Creepin is back up but I welcome it. Great song.
I assume Creepin' is back on SCR this week.
10 Strandz - Us Against the World
Looks like 10:35 is on ACR as well.
... and this is great as well.
9 Harry Styles - As It Was
My London source tells me that What Now is climbing back into the charts this week and next!!!
Can AIW go back to ACR please?
8 PinkPantheress - Boy's a liar
I wonder if PinkPantheress can get more top ten hits?
7 Lizzy McAlpine - ceilings
Kinda cute song. Hope it will rise again come Friday.
Great to see Trustfall holding steady in the top 20.
6 Libianca - People
5 Taylor Swift - All of the Girls You Loved Before
4 Rema - Calm Down
If Calvin can’t topple Miley, Ed should be able to do it next week
New peak for Calm Down...
3 The Weeknd - Die for You
How does "Calm Down" keep avoiding ACR?
Go Calvin and Ellie!
Stop listen chart update almost 4 week now. Still got bee in my bonnet with official company more with album chart. Singles just acr rules not work
'Calm Down' to fall down ASAP. Same for George and Harry tbh. Would like Mimi to sneak top 10 if it's still possible at some stage.
Why is As It Was not on acr AGAIN?!
SEXIST CHARTS SHITE!!! SPICE GIRLS AND MARIAH NEVER GET RESET
2 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle
1 Miley Cyrus - Flowers
It would be more of a blow if Boy’s A Liar would’ve been #1 this Friday had it not hit ACR
Performing a Miracle is REET tbh, with their history of FLOPPAGE!!!
No.1 next week for Miracle or can ir sneak it this week?! Rock Bree, Rock Brer out!!!
Miley will be on ACR next week and will collapse 1-18 likr Mcfly or 1-8 like Emma Bunton/ Alexandra Burke Hopefully it falls to #2 this week, so its fall from grace isn't such a fall from grace
At least Miley won’t need ACR to knock her off the top as Ed will be the one to do that
Hopefully the gap is small and Miracle can get to #1.
Gif is a bit small
Well that report is the first I've heard of there being another remix of 'People' with Cian Ducrot lmao *_* can't really picture him on that song... argh at 'Calm Down' likely coming for yet another new peak too but can hardly say it's undeserved when its numbers have been continuing to tick up over the last few weeks.
And looks like we may be getting a second solo BTS top 40 hit (first entirely solo) just 2 weeks after the first.
Also not complaining at 'Creepin'' getting a reset tbh, felt like that went to ACR a bit soon x
Taylor will drop as week goes on but looming good for top 40 possibly top 20
Miracle is not really exploding on streaming, as it should to get the #1
nice to see new Taylor so high and Hozier at #21 is great too, hope he holds on even if he's only doing well on Spotify
Does next week lose 1 hour sales on Sunday clock gone forward
I'm sure the OCC has a swanky formula to estimate those "lost" sales!
the OCC has already in place a new algorithm to estimate the streams lost by Ed sheeran's new single due to the change of clocks
and will be applied accordingly they will basically add 30K

U2 18 Singles is no doubt picking up streams from the new versions on Songs Of Surrender
Full update above!
U2 should’ve released their album a week earlier and they could’ve denied Miley a #1 album
And they would have wanted to do that why?
Lizzy in the top 5 *.*
hope all of the girls can hold in the top 10 but it is looking unlikely. also looks like lavender haze has gone to acr. glad if this was a movie is filling its space at #50, hope it can hold in the top 50!
Omg, Zara at #39!
omg zarlene
Lizzy top 5 yay, if only Libianca replaced Rema in the top 5 too but can't have them all I guess. Pink baiting with that climb back to 14 only to drop down by Friday again lol. Ooh nice to see Zara top 40 as well.
Also with U2 at #1 on the albums, if you haven't already head to the 2000's forun to rate their 00's singles!
Hope Lizzy makes the top 5 officially! deserves to be a #1 but we cant all get what we want. also Zaraaaaa! hope it stays top 40!
also noticed 10:35 is down to #35 while on ACR. it has charted at #10 before so it would be perfect if it charted at #35 too
I just hope PP would still be #2 if she didn’t hit ACR
Great to see React still climbing!
Also hoping Miracle can close the gap in Miley.
Go on Tom and Zara
GO ZARA!!!
Too bad two of the best songs in top 10, Players and Boy's a Liar, both went to ACR They didn't even feel that old
Looks like I need to be playing Zara back to back to get her in the Top 40 for Friday then, fully invested in the tune as I am !!!
Me still waiting for Meghan's Mother hate commentaries.
I see the greatest Hits by Foo Fighters is now replacing the Essential on the album chart.
Great to see Pinks album holding up so well, really steady run so far.
Mother is a delibrste attempt to create the woest song imaginable!! What else is there to say aboot ha troll era?
Miley 10 weeks
Yay cmon Meghan and Zara
Get some weed whacker for those wilting flowers!! Calvin ha Ellie ha time is here
With less than 500 sales between Calm Down & The Weeknd, could that even get to #3?
Really disappointed that Calvin/Ellie aren't on track for the No.1.
And that Mother thing in the top 30? Are people actually ok?
Meghan is coming for another top 5 with this isn't she?
I wish it wasn’t stuck in my head
Good to see so many potential new entries into the top 40 this week, the chart doesn't feel too stale for once.
Fantastic that PinkPantherness has gone to ACR, had a Old Rosie cider for that.
MS LARSSON YOU BETTER
(will fall to #48 by the end of the week so let’s celebrate this midweek top 40 like it’s REAL!)
I actually agree that Creepin seemed to go to ACR too early, so also glad it's back up near the Top 10 again.
This week, Players has also gone ACR a little too early for me.
I guess like every rule there will be a way to avoid them or reverse them. I'm not convinced on the 25% increase one (it is 25%, isn't it?) which resets songs... but it is what it is.
I wonder what Lewis’s 3rd song in the Top 100 will by Friday. Just 10 weeks since Pointless reached #1 and it already fell below Someone You Loved last week.
ACR is really in need of a reform, it's not entirely fit for purpose when songs can just get reset for silly reasons - this Diddy remix of Creepin isn't giving the song any notable natural popularity boost, not to mention GGG is still plaguing the top 20
the 25% auto-reset rule ought to go too as that just gave As It Was a free extra month in the top 10 which it didn't need
resets ought to only be granted for songs that haven't been hits already gaining popularity, or very special cases like RUTH
I don't see how it won't happen given how huge Bad Habits and Shivers were - of course we're yet to hear it and that will be a huge factor on how people take to it but the first week is definitely sewn up with CDs etc
Looks like Hozier could score his second top 20 hit
His CD’s will end up being around 10k+ ?
Miley to drop a flowers remix with every huge female superstar please
Lol you've been here 20 years and still don't know what top 20 means!!!
the Ed song will be huge. The album is a sorta acoustic and produced by Aaron Dressner (Folklore, Evermore)
but the lead singer is by Max Martin (Baby One More Time) so obs super commercial
Tbf Bad habits underperformed week one and only just scraped number 1 in week 1 (before going on to hang around forever) so I get the argument that the new one might not do phenomenal.
However this is the most promotion he put into a song since TJATQ so either way he gonna fight hard for it
You heard it here first - Ed Sheeran only has 3 Top 40 singles!
Hadji really outdoing himself with the non-sequiturs this week
By the same logic, Queen only had one Top 75 hit!
(Love Of My Life - all the others went Top 40)
Actually they had 55*, and you can rate them all here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=261366
*56 including double A-sides
Wow you managed to plug the Queen rate without even going on topic Jim!
Headlines being the Spice Girls only top 20 hit!
In all seriousness, I think there's like a 0.1% chance of a brand new Ed Sheeran lead single not debuting at #1. Especially when the bar is only going to be like 55k and he's got however many thousand signed CDs to factor in too. Plus he's all but admitted this is the track off the album that is purpose-built to be the monster hit. Maybe it won't be as big of a seller as Bad Habits or Shivers in the long run, maybe the first week album sales will be another decrease. I can certainly see that. But him going in at #1 fels unfortunately all but confirmed.
I could definitely see the Ed song not being AS big as Bad Habits/Shivers, but I'd be surprised if it didn't get at least a few weeks at #1. To miss it entirely would be surprising, not least because it's only currently having to compete with a 10 week old Flowers.
The worst case scenario (or rather best depending on how you look at it) I can see for the Ed Sheeran single is having a big selling opening week with the physicals factored in and then coasting along at #1 for two or three more weeks with not so stellar sales until another huge hit comes along or something gets big enough to overtake it.
But equally I wouldn't be surprised if it stays there for 9 weeks.
OK he'll get a no.1 if he goes hard for it but this year all the biggest hits have been by females (Miguel excepted) plus the gap between eras is too small. So might not last long
Predicting it to hit #1 or not is one thing but I really don't think it's worth speculating on the song's longevity before we've even heard it?
I’m pretty sure Ed will go #1 but I’m surprised his last song missed the top 40
Right I was walkin past some builders doing up a house today, and guess what was blaring out from their radio or playlists?!
That's RIGHT, you bet your bottom dollar, it was MIRACLES by Calvin and Ellie G!!!
I didn't hear the latest Cheese Slice gettin played, or Flowers, as I walked past, so guess what that means?! That's REET tbh!! It means that Miracles is the rightful, zeitgeisty no.1!!!
Popular track that's currently doing well in the charts heard playing on the radio? Shocker, that.
Proof is in the pudding!!!!
never laughed so much, apparently Ed Sheeran is already working on his posthumous album ;D
https://americansongwriter.com/ed-sheeran-is-already-preparing-his-posthumous-album/
when will your faves!!
I saw that in the Rolling Stone interview. Novel concept but bold of him to assume people will be interested in that in potentially 60-70 years. That’s a long time he needs to stay relevant. I know he’s the king of bucking all trends but sooner or later the party will end.
Best to put out your very best material while you’re still alive and relevant (and can perform it live) I’d say!
May could scary could get 3 Lewis Capaldi and 3 ed Sheeran track in top 20 both album come out in may

yay, Zara still hanging on TOP 40, so happy!!
Any chance Taylor keeps in top10?
More to the point, how likely is it that Zara will stay top 40?
Zara dropped only one place from the Monday midweeks to the Friday chart last week so she has a fair chance of staying in I think.
As for Taylor, you know as much as we do but its trajectory doesn't look promising
Oh no @ The Weeknd overtaking Miley in the albums.
Lizzy not in the top 5 any more (although Libianca going top 5 is good too x).
'Only' dropping 1-3 would be pretty good for Miley by recent #1 album standards tbf, especially as her first week sales weren't anything crazy.
Praying Tom and Zara can hold on in the top 40!
hope zara can stay top 40! Also shame tay looks to drop out the top 10 but a top 15 finish will be incredible!
Zara
I’m guessing she must be quite close to the top 200 on Spotify tbh
React climbing one spot is great! Also looks like Flowers is safe for #1.
Rema calm down goes top 3 then acr broken should gone acr same time anti hero
The ACR system is far from perfect but Calm Down has just been posting both its highest ever weekly sales and positions so I can’t see the logic in saying it should be on ACR.
A shame All of the Girls won't make the top 10, but its debut will still be a good one. And glad to see Midnights hopefully back in the top 5!
Vile cheese beast!!
Let's also remember that Calm Down was heading for #4 in the http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=259882# before the likes of Anti-Hero were given manual resets, so there's some justice in that it's finally about to reach that position.
yeah much as I'd like Calm Down to have gone to ACR already it's clearly one of those rare beasts of hits that take absolute ages to peak.
there's no excuse for As It Was, GGG and Hide & Seek to still be on SCR though
I've said many times that I love As It Was, so I don't mind it being back in the Top 10... but it really didn't need to be. I think after it received a lot of accolade at awards etc that it deserved some resurgence, but maybe not quite what it did get.
In comparison, I'm not that bothered by Calm Down, but if it is still increasing then it deserves to be on SCR whether it's 29 weeks old or not. It's just a slow-burn.
Reinventing ACR has been done to death on here, but I do think a staggered approach would be good - like 75% after so many weeks and the 50% after so many more. Then you don't get the odd big drops. Maybe resets could be staggered as well?
I think a staggered ACR would create some serious transparency issues, particularly when the OCC don’t make songs’ status public. At least with only 2 levels it’s reasonably clear what’s going on. Us geeks just have to accept chart runs having an ugly drop in the middle I think.
I think it would help if songs were only eligible for a re-set if their streams were 50% of their peak level at the very least (maybe a higher threshold even).
Agreed on the last point. Am I right in thinking it used to be 50% for a reset? If so I really don't get why they dropped in to 25% because resets are something we should be avoiding unless absolutely warranted.
yes it used to be 50% which was infinitely better, 25% is too easy
Is it though? How many songs got an automatic reset in the past year?
This has been dicussed ad nauseum but I do think some kind of system based on whether a song would recieve a new chart peak as a result of a reset would be the ideal.
I feel like a prior peak should be irrelevant to the whole conversation, it just becomes totally arbitrary at that point. Like, had Kate Bush had a resurgence with "Wuthering Heights" instead of "Running Up That Hill", should that not warrant the same treatment? The only difference is that the former peaked at #1 instead of #3 so it couldn't get a new peak even if it tried but if it were clearly the biggest song in the country, it'd look silly to not reset it on that arbitrary ruling.
Or imagine a world where Arctic Monkeys put out "Do I Wanna Know?" at the start of the week, Tom Odell wouldn't have a top 10 hit...until this year, and many would celebrate that in the moment. It'd be really dumb if the OCC were just sitting looking at the trigger and waiting to see if he got 1 place higher than he did 10 years ago to warrant a reset that's merely depicting a notable resurgence. The purpose of the chart should be to demonstrate what is relevant/popular etc, not to just fiddle around and generate as many arbitrary hits as possible. At some point *that* devalues the chart more so than a reset that is costing a few new songs 1 position on the chart for a bit until it's swiftly forgotten about once it's back on ACR.
Can't get over how well P!nk has been doing this era. Despite "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" going on ACR it should hopefully remain top 100. That'll be 5 weeks in a row for P!nk to have 3 songs from the album in the top 100 ("Trustfall"/"When I Get there"/"Never Gonna Not Dance Again"). I hope they push "When I Get There" to radio in late April/early May with a music video - would be lovely if it managed a top 40 peak and it stuck around the chart for a while!
A big reason is likely the support she's been getting from Apple Music and Amazon - particularly the latter. A number of album tracks are still charting fairly well on Amazon which is likely producing a decent number of streaming sales for the album. A shame she can't get the same level of support from spotify or she would be doing even better!
P!nk really is the Queen of defying the odds time and time again.
I've really never been bothered by P!nk but Trustfall is such a banger that I'm chuffed it's done well and got some longevity.
I love how she’s went against the grain in terms of streaming success for a long established artist!
