To be honest I don't really blame them calling it a day now, it's already been a ridiculously long tour if it were me I'd be tired and if I hadn't wanted the tour in the first place as some members didn't I'd be wanting it to end aswell I'm sure. I can't imagine how upsetting it is for fans who haven't got to see them as yet to be told it won't happen but at the end of the day I guess making a big deal out of it won't change the decision.
So people are SO angry though it's insane, the amount of death threats on Mel C's messageboard is terrible, people are acting like she personally is to blame, which I don't think is true in the slightest despite some of these silly articles. |

It was always going to be a 3 month tour so it's not that surprising its finishing after 3 months

And the official statement -
"Melanie would like to make it perfectly clear that at no point has she refused to continue with the Spice Girls Tour. She is very disappointed that the tour isn't continuing at this stage and, as she does not have the family commitments of the other Girls, she is in the best position of all of them to continue. Any accusation that it was Melanie's reluctance to continue the tour that has brought about this situation is absolutely false." Also technicalities people half the supposed 'cancelled' dates were never confirmed or on sales. I understand the fuss but nothing was ever set in stone there. I think it's ridiculous they announced a world tour and only performed in two continents :\ It proves it was nothing to do with the fans and all about the money. "We've made enough now so we're off..."

That's what I feel too, I thought it was good that they were planning to perform in every continent (except Antarctica obviously) but it has ended up just being a tour to the biggest areas really. I think they should carry on with all the places they announced because I'd hate to have been someone from these places that was hoping to see the Spice Girls one more time. I understand that four out of the five have young children and it must be bad for them going around the world with them, but I don't see what family commitments they could have that would force them to stop. |

its no surprise as i think they did what they said they would do,if it was mel c who plugged the plug she has never made a secret of the fact she has reservations about reforming and when she did it was limited

I really think they'll be back to finish off the reunuion properly in the summer. The official statement points to future things in many parts and just says 'this stage' of the tour is coming to an end. Maybe I'm just too optimisitic but I really think it's not the end quite yet. Also I feel sooooooooooooo sorry for Mel C when she always gets blamed for everything, but out of all of them I think she is the least to blame for this part of the tour ending in February. She is the one who has been really into the concerts the most and she puts her heart and soul into everything - out of all of the girls she would want to see the tour through to the end and finish on a high.
I officially hate the UK tabloids for all the c**p they printed over the weekend  !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just so much rubbish and so many lies, yet everyone reading just believes it and it will probably affect Mel C's chances of reviving her solo career .
