Definitely the best one out of the three, although the first two have grown on me a lot now.

Out now. This one has gospel elements and a trip-hop beat to it. The whole album campaign is shaping up to be fabulous

Wow! Definitely my favourite of the 4, but overall it's shaping up to be a fantastic album. Roll on Friday!

It’s Vampire Weekend did anyone have any doubt?

The album is, of course, fabulous. The opening track is very Vampire Weekend - starting off in unspectacular fashion before going full-on bonkers. That's why I love them!

Really enjoyed this just now... lots of familiar sounds without it being too much of a copy of early material. Initial favourites are Ice Cream Piano, Connect, Mary Boone, Pravda and Hope... although none of the songs are bad, the others just didn't feel quite as immediate to me, I feel like the Surfer could well really grow on me
It's a welcome return to form, I found their last album to be their first ever that I didn't really return to. |

'Hope' is pretty good. May be lengthy (and the chord progression doesn't change much until the 2nd half) but correctly placed as the last track.

It’s totally worth that score tbh
I’ve decided to splash out on the Blood Records vinyl of this. I’ve been deliberating getting it all weekend but I think I’m going to end up listening to this enough to warrant a physical copy. Plus the Blood Records variant is the most fitting one I’ve seen, the others all seem to be pretty boring |

Really enjoying this - Capricorn, Classical and Mary Boone are my favourites so far but the album tracks are great too. I loved the sound of their last album but I love how this one feels like a less conventional version of their first 3 albums (especially their debut imo) with some slightly more odd (in a good way) structure/production choices.
