If they had signed a 5 year (or 3 year after the 2nd series etc) deal then it could easily have been to get the contract done. I don't know either way but reducing episode of a series is normally always a sign of losing faith or burning through a contract cheaply. X factors last few years they did shortened series, double elimination, celeb, band, quick versions to fulfil the contract of so many series. |
