I still prefer the BBC. They may be a little behind at times, but that's generally because they do more to confirm reports before they broadcast them.

Donald Trump is terrible and I hope he doesn't represent an idea of how we are.
I'm very sorry. My old friend from middle school lost his wife to these attacks. So terribly heartbreaking. My thoughts are with all affected by this. Wish we could all just learn to love and not hate. |

My housemate, who is one of my best friends has gone to Paris for a four day break with her boyfriend as a birthday present and is staying at a hotel so close to one of the restaurants where people have died. She had a trip booked for the Eiffel tower tomorrow and is scared to go, so naturally I was so scared when all of this news broke out but regardless of any personal involvement, this is absolutely such an awful occurence.

Someone really dear to me is just outside Paris and I had to make sure he's okay (which thankfully he is), I couldn't bear it if anything happened to him.Just reading up on the details of this is so horrifying. My thoughts and love truly go out to Paris right now. |

Can't believe what I'm seeing on the news this morning. It's heartbreaking and seems to be happening more and more often. Today I'm going to be spending most of the day in a concert hall, needless to say this will be in the back of my mind the whole day, but we can't let stuff stop us doing things.
I don't pray, I'm not into religion, but I send positive thoughts to all those affected. |

this is one of those mega events like 9/11 not in terms of dead but in terms of the magnitude it'll alter history and especially the european union, personal attitudes to immigration and most of all bringing some sort of fear (no matter how latent) into everyday life. and it's that subtle ripple that damages our national psyche and breeds one of the worst qualities society can foster: fear.

I am heartbroken to wake up to this news.
I am so thankful that my cousin is safe. She lives 10mins from the scene of the first attacks. She has said this morning that Paris has picked itself up and got on with its normal routine, determined not to let the bast*rds win. |
