So I Don't Care and bad guy are going back to ACR. What exactly have we gained from their 3 weeks of reset that the new rules (only a 25% increase in streams needed) allowed them? Not much it seems.
Whereas if they hadn't been reset, these songs would have had higher peaks (so far) within the Top 10 - Cross Me (#3), Ladbroke Grove (#3), Boyfriend (#3), 3 Nights (#5), Taste (#6), Higher Love (#7), How Do You Sleep (#9) - so not a great start for the rule change. On the positive side, no more rule changes until next year means all the Christmas songs can have another shot at chart domination this year! |

Yes this year will finally be the optimal time for a Xmas song to contend because Xmas day itself is on a Wednesday & Thursday's streams are always estimated so they'll be 2 mega days of streams to count with the cut-off point being after the tracks fall off a cliff.

Yes, my point on the Christmas songs was, after they took up 8 of the Top 10 last year despite all being on permanent ACR, I thought the OCC would come up with some further rule change this year to stop that happening again - but now it seems they haven't.

Agreed given they sabotaged Mariah last year & "technically" got away with it by the skin of their teeth I was expecting a ban on Xmas songs or something this year!

I’ll never forgive them for that  A literal scam. If they used the real Thursday numbers she would’ve been #1 (even with the massive ACR disadvantage). And Ava would’ve got her precious #1 anyway so they just did it out of spite Rant over!
