07 Bianca Del Rio (Season 6, high)
 Arguably another who kind of toed the line of being herself, but it was one of those cases where it bolstered the performance rather than harmed it. You can tell Bianca adores Judge Judy and knew her inside, and that's half the battle of making a good Snatch Game. The visual gag of the Officer Byrd puppet made it too, and Bianca's signature mean personality really lent itself to the fact Judy has very little patience sometimes and is often visibly done with perpetrators on the show. The amount of bouncing off each other in Season 6's Snatch Game was a plus point for many, and it was for Bianca too. In a season of highs, Bianca didn't put a foot wrong but this was potentially my favourite of her moments in Season 6 alongside her iconic stand-up performance. |

06 Chad Michaels: Cher (Season 4, win)
 The earliest truly iconic Snatch Game turn, this completely and utterly spot on send-up of Chad's idol really solidifed what Snatch Game was about, and set the bar for what a Snatch Game should be. It's abundantly clear in every second of this portrayal that Chad lives and breathes Cher, every tiny little mannerism was nailed. It was also genius that Chad took the infamous "hotbed of unprofessionalism" and added that to his character, as the clearly done-with-this-shit Cher got more and more irritated and being booked on this "chicken shit gig, rather than letting the cacophony eat at her and kill her characterisation. Everything she came out with, you can imagine Cher saying in real life. The only way this could have been better if it was done a few seasons later with Cher's iconic Twitter antics etched into the minds of us all *.* |

05 BenDeLaCreme: Maggie Smith (Season 6, win)
 "I'm unfamiliar with the work of Lady Handler, but I thought it would be humorous if there were libation flavoured with citrus" is one of the best lines in Snatch Game history  It was a genius choice to have this character from a show set in the early part of the 20th century sat on a panel with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian and Anna Nicole Smith, and have her answering questions about Chelsea Handler's flavoured vodka, but what elevated it even more is that DeLa nailed the accent and personality of Maggie's Downton Abbey character. In such a strong Snatch Game, DeLa rose above the rest and earned a well deserved second win in Season 6.The fact that DeLa also nailed Paul Lynde on AS3 makes her probably the 2nd best Snatch Gamer ever in terms of nailing both appearances, after a certain other All Star still to come. |

I only knew of Maggie Smith through her role as Professor McGonagall, and Dela got the fluctuations in pitch when she speaks SPOT ON. There was so much commitment to the character, down to the calligraphy on her placard, and it amplified the gags so that the audience who may not have heard of her other roles feel like they know her.
“Excuse me? We originated the language!” sounds like something McGonagall would say lmao. Also “Ruple... Ruple, is it?” |

04 Trinity The Tuck: Caitlyn Jenner (All Stars 4, win)
 The newest addition to Snatch Game's line-up of iconic impressions for me is Trinity's Caitlyn Jenner. It says it all that I can count it among the likes of Ben's Maggie Smith, Alaska's Mae West and Jinkx's Little Edie, but she deserves every bit of praise. Caitlyn is a figure who's ripe for making fun of, and Trinity didn't miss a trick or a single beat, from the way she was standing, her facial expressions, the voice, the things she said... We all knew Trinity was a surprisingly good comedy queen in Season 9, but she continued that even more in AS4 and this was the performance that really pushed her into frontrunner status, completely stealing the scene even though Naomi gave a great Wendy Williams sat next to her. I'm so glad she finally smashed a Snatch Game, after S9 was a promising start that we just didn't see enough of. |

I felt like that Snatch Game was so weak it made Trinity and Manilla look far better than they actually were... Certainly wouldn't be anywhere near the top for me.
I'm glad Katya and Alaska are yet to make an appearance though. Iconic.

03 Katya: Bjork (All Stars 2, win)
 Without a doubt the most bizarrely out there Snatch Game of all time, but going bizarre and out there totally fits when it's Bjork you're impersonating. She's one of the wackeist and most unique people around not just in her music but also her personality, and that's Katya all over. When you think about it, it's possibly the most perfect match in Snatch Game history, you might not have thought of Bjork as a Snatch Game character but when it happened, it couldn't have been any other way. From her eating the paper she wrote her answer on, blowing bubbles, making references to her removed testicles and making bizarre bird-like noises, everything was hilarious in a way only Katya could have pulled off, and this would have smashed even the likes of Season 6's Snatch Game, even if it was bested in an iconic Snatch Game by Alaska, this is truly one of the greats and one I could watch again and again. |

I love how Katya & Alaska really bounced off each other in that Snatch Game. So iconic, so much funnier than I remember it being. I scream every time she makes that noise

So it's Jinkx's Little Edie vs Alaska's Mae West, probably the two most revered Snatch Game performances so an obvious top 2 but it had to be them really!! There's not really anything between them and they're both flawless, so it's not even really saying one is better than the other, it's just I have a slight preference for one of them...
02 Alaska: Mae West (All Stars 2, win) WHADDAYA MEAN, I BEAT AROUND THE BUSH ALL THE TIME!! It says it all that in a Snatch Game with something as brilliant as Katya's outrageously insane Bjork, this managed to win, but it is an absolute masterclass in not just Snatch Game but sharp and witty improv in general. Alaska had clearly studied the character, had every little tic and mannerism down, to the point where she was basically a living Mae West. She didn't miss a single beat, hitting a home run anytime Ru threw a ball, and she pretty much caught everyone else's, bounced off the other characters flawlessly and didn't break character once, even in between answers when she was just sitting there. Mae West is already a huge character but Alaska camped it up and exaggerated it even more, without being too OTT and cringe, it was just flawless. There wasn't a single second of this that didn't see Alaska absolutely going for it, and for that reason this is very nearly the best Snatch Game of all time, it wasn't for a slight edge by Jinkx. 01 Jinkx Monsoon: Little Edie (Season 5, win) There has never been a more lived in performance than Jinkx's Little Edie, and by that I mean it feels like Little Edie had actually walked onto Snatch Game herself. Jinkx clearly absolutely adored this character and had studied her every move, making herself truly live the character and not miss a single beat, even snatching moments from other characters to ensure nothing went to waste, case in point the absolute genius of "quite the scandal actually" in regards to Marilyn Monroe's much-speculated affair with JFK, something which Ivy embarrassingly totally blanked on. It was genius that she took a pretty unknown character and made her into what I would call the quintessential Snatch Game performance. Jinkx defined Snatch Game, it's not about doing a big name and doing their obvious quirks and catchphrases, it's not about just looking the part. It's about nailing the character, no matter who it is, and making the audience fall in love and laugh at them. At the time, everyone thought doing Little Edie was a risk, but Jinkx nailed this Snatch Game and absolutely ran away with the win. At the end, we felt like we truly knew and loved Little Edie, and for that reason I'm always excited when someone makes an out there choice for Snatch Game they're passionate about, because there's potential for absolute gold like this. If she wasn't already the obvious frontrunner, this pretty much sealed Jinkx's win in Season 5, and rightfully so. |

see idek who little edie is but I was a cackling over jinx and I only looked up Mae West after seeing Alaska and honestly she was bang on  thank you for doing this Liam! very much enjoyed this and would love to see you rank other things in a similar way in the future, maybe we could do best reads or something
