🚨 Christopher Eccleston is returning to the role The Doctor in 12 Big Finish audio dramas 🚨

i’m not even a massive fan of the ninth doctor but this is genuinely JAW-DROPPING and so exciting!! he’s be so reluctant to acknowledge the show since his one series that it’s so incredible to be able to get him starring in almost as many adventures as we saw on screen.

bare in mind that (whilst more have been announced) David Tenant has so far only done 9 proper Big Finish dramas (he has another 5 on the way with River Song, and the 4th & 8th Doctors) so this is a biggg achievement for Big Finish for someone so reluctant to be in the role!!

Matt Smith & Peter Capaldi next 🤞🏻

I've not heard any Doctor Who Big Finish (and I'm not sure I have the attention span! laugh.gif) but this is still very exciting even for me! It's such a huge step for him, and it puts us one step closer to a potential return for the 60th maybe? ohmy.gif

I put off Big Finish for yearssss but have been getting into it a lot recently - although I used to listen on lengthy commutes which helped me concentrate and it’s been a bit harder to listen/find time to listen since working from home.

I’ve got all the Tenth Doctor ones which are so much fun and really excited for his adventures with River Song!

There’s loads on Spotify/Apple Music which are great to start with and gain a taste as to whether you like them or not!

I've been meaning to listen to some for a while, but they're quite expensive so I'm not really in a position to buy any currently! (I know most appear on file sites, but it doesn't sit well with me tbh) - but at least it makes him more likely to return for the 60th!

There’s like 70+ on Spotify/Apple Music that they’ve put on there themselves!

I have never listened nor really knew they were a thing in all honesty, but very encouraging that he is finally acknowledging the show again. Could be good news indeed for the 60th! He was so good I might have to just get into these.

Good news. The Big Finish dramas seem to pull out all of the stops when it comes to casting (probably because it's an easy job for the actors?) I WISH the TV show was as creative and exciting.
