Here we are in 2019 now. I've changed up the colours a bit this year and we may have some format tweaks as we go too. All change at the top of the chart as Bastille gain a first #1 with the criminally underrated Grip that deserves all the success of Happier.

New entries for the year show my taste shifting a bit which might continue into the year; we have a number of indie and rock newies as well as some soundtrack pop from Years & Years. I will drop in the links to the newies - if available - a bit later in the week. This week those include entries from Elle King, Nicole Dollanganger, Frances, Alan Walker, XCX, Biffy and Little Dragon. Expect to see some older songs about this year as I've decided to allow them to chart, in the spirit of the official chart arbitrarily changing rules all thetime :')

Hi Jupiter!

Top of the World has Snoop Dogg on it now? I remember charting it some time last year, I fell like Snoop would ruin it though?

Nice to see Zero enter - I think it might be my favourite from their new era!

Giving Blur a listen now, I thought I might recognise it when the first bit came on but alas no. It's a nice piece although Foster the People do just sound like a lower pitched MO in it

I'm a sucker for some Snoop :') and actually I do feel like it works altho even for Kimra it's leftfield! And yes, Zero didn't strike me at first but it's become a slow burner! Cheers for commenting

There are surprisingly very few songs in this chart that I've heard at all!! A few in there that look interesting and I might have to check out at some point if I ever feel non-lazy though ~

I have just heard 'Good Form' today though and it's one of Nicki's better recent songs (not as good as 'Chun-Li' but what is).
