BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 19

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 3rd September 2019, 06:55 PM

Lots of rumors starting appear for this year's I'm a Celeb! Ant will return to host this year with Dec, after Holly stood in for the last series featuring King of the Jungle, Harry Redknapp.

The Extra Camp hosts this year are apparently John Barrowman, Joel Dommett and Emily Atack - much better than the recent hosts!

Some names rumored are:

Myles Stephenson (Rak-Su)
James Haskell (former England rugby player)
Summer Monteys-Fullam (Paul Hollywood's ex-gf)
Duncan James (Blue)
Maura Higgins (Love Island)
Ulrika Jonsson (TV presenter, big in the 90s)
Ian Wright (football pundit and former Arsenal player)
Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt in Corrie)
Stacey Dooley (documentary maker and presenter)
Craig Charles (TV presenter and actor)
John Terry (former Chelsea player)
Kate Garraway (Good Morning Britain host, pulled out of 2018)
Alan Halsall (Tyrone in Corrie)
Amanda Holden (BGT and...err?)

Last year's lineup was fantastic (with no reality stars!) - so more like that please!

Lucy and Maura PLEASE wub.gif

James Haskell too for other reasons x Ulrika Jonsson on the other hand can stay as far away as possible.

I don't really know much about Ulrika, what's wrong with her?

Posted by: Liаm 3rd September 2019, 07:06 PM

Never liked her, I hated her on CBB and Masterchef, she just always seems really full of herself and so desperate to cling to fame whenever she's on TV or in the media drama.gif

Posted by: King Rollo 3rd September 2019, 07:15 PM

I always thought Craig Charles deserved another go after having to leave after a couple of days last time following the death of his brother.

Ian Wright and Stacey Dooley are two of my favourite people so I would like to see either of them on the programme.

Posted by: J▲hq 3rd September 2019, 07:16 PM

Ulrika would be one of the biggest draws for me out of those names, a Swede and a Eurovision host *.

Posted by: Liаm 3rd September 2019, 07:16 PM

Yessss, Stacey Dooley would be incred, you just know she'd get stuck right into it!

I wonder myself how she won CBB that year.

If John Terry was in it, I would know who to vote when the trials come, never liked him.

I usually vote for my faves to do the trials, as it means they get more exposure and screentime laugh.gif

Maura omfg yes pls

Posted by: Cameron 3rd September 2019, 07:37 PM

Ulrika and Duncan will be the most definite. The 2 of them will be needing another reality boost (especially with Duncan publicizing his relationship with his boyfriend)

Posted by: Jordan Lee 3rd September 2019, 07:55 PM

I don’t think Duncan’s gonna come across very well tbh if he does it.

Posted by: Liаm 3rd September 2019, 08:05 PM

Yeah they're the two from those names I could definitely see doing it, as well as Ian Wright. All of those just "sound" right, maybe Maura too as it's only a matter of time before someone from Love Island does I'm A Celeb and she's probably the best option in terms of making great TV and being one that could translate to wider audience appeal - I think people will love her if she does it!

The likes of Summer and Stacey just seem like people are going "they're in the news they might be doing it!!!", as much as I'd love Stacey to do it.

Same, I get where people are coming from voting for who they don't like to suffer, but I tend to vote for my faves - especially the ones who are under the radar a bit. Last year was great for that, we didn't get the same people doing challenges, which was nice.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 3rd September 2019, 08:14 PM

There should be a rule where if you get voted by the public to do a trial one day then the next trial you should be immune from the vote (just the immediate one after it) to try and vary things up.

I love the show and watch it every year but with I’m A Celeb the last four years there’s been zero competitive element to it where it’s like a real “who’s going to win” like feel to it as the winners been very obvious from show one.

The year when it was between Jake and Foggy was the last series were the winner wasn’t obvious from the get to.

Posted by: Klaus 3rd September 2019, 08:15 PM

Ulrika is horrendous but I’m a Celeb tries to avoid those who have appeared on reality shows before, particularly those who have appeared on Big Brother so I’m not inclined to believe that one.

Also, the rumour mill for I’m a Celeb is actually pretty rare in being correct up until a few days before!

Posted by: Mack. 4th September 2019, 11:32 PM

Amanda apparently confirmed that rumours of her in the jungle are untrue.

Lucy posted on Insta earlier denying that laugh.gif

Jennifer Metcalfe is though apparently, they recently always seem to nab a Hollyoaks star for some reason (Jamie and Malique) so I can see that being true and I'd be interested to see how she is on it!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 30th September 2019, 12:00 AM

Jennifer Metcalfe would be a good pull.

I’m always a bit nervous when soap stars do this though. When they come across badly I tend to dislike the character they play as I just associate them with them being their real self.

Chas from Emmerdale is a prime example of someone I wish never done it and Jamie Lomas.

Pixie wub.gif

I’d like Una if we had a Saturdays member as I know her the least and she’s in the media / on TV the least so it would boost her the most I’d say.

I’d sort of like someone from Girls Aloud to do it more though maybe Nicola would be the best as Cheryl’s too famous and Sarah’s done CBB and won.

I hope with this series the winner isn’t obvious from Day 1.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 14th October 2019, 01:10 PM

If Nadine does it, I can see her being the big name with an early exit type Celeb

Posted by: Jordan Lee 14th October 2019, 01:22 PM

Nadine could go either way.

We’ll know who the chosen one is from day one if it’s like the last few years.

Last year and the three series before that it was obvious who was going to win as soon as everyone arrived and I was more predicting who’d be the runners up. They really made it known (ITV) who they wanted to win lately.

The last series we had without an obvious winner was the one where Carl Fogarty won in 2014 as he wasn’t what you’d call an obvious winner.

It also depends on how much airtime she gets too and the whole “immunity” thing too.

Sometimes the first eliminee is a bit of a shock because not everyone can be voted for.

Posted by: Liаm 27th October 2019, 11:37 PM

The Sun has said these are 8 of the 10 celebrities doing it:

Nadine Coyle
Andrew Whyment
Jacqueline Jossa
James Haskell
Ian Wright
Kate Garraway
Myles Stephenson
Roman Kemp

Posted by: JosephStyles 27th October 2019, 11:39 PM

Nadine Coyle makes up for Kate Garraway and then some tbh x

Posted by: Liаm 27th October 2019, 11:39 PM

Kate Garraway is so gonna be the one who screams her way through a group trial and then gets voted to do them afterwards.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 27th October 2019, 11:41 PM

Andrew Whyment as the corrie Star then!

We’ve had the Tyrone actor in talks too haven’t we and Lucy Fallon too.

Andrew appears to have just had a family holiday though so maybe he is doing it and that was a way of spending some time with them before he goes off away.

Perhaps he goes off screen around the same time as his on screen wife does too as she’s doing Dancing On Ice so she may get a bit of a break on screen after the funeral of Sinead airs.

If Myles is doing it thar should mean Rak Su aren’t doing all stars X Factor too!

Posted by: RobBob 28th October 2019, 12:10 AM

Not a bad line up! Think Jacqueline will come across really well, expect she'll be quite a tough bird actually and really throw herself into it. I think Nadine will too tbf.

I think the last unobvious winner of IAC was Foggy... that was about 3-4 series ago now

I personally wouldn't have called Toff when the line-up was announced but it was pretty obvious after a few days, yes.

Posted by: dobbo 5th November 2019, 11:08 AM

I don't think it's ever been obvious? In Vicky's year she wasn't even in the jungle until week 2 so who was the "obvious' winner when we were having this pre-series discussion then?

Harry last year is the closest for sure but I wasn't convinced myself until halfway through the running.

Scarlett, Toff and Harry were all pretty obvious from the first show - its really these days, who gets the main narrator role

Also Vicky, Spencer and Ferne entered on Day 3 - not Week 2 smile.gif - all three were heavily rumoured to be going in at the time and were all but confirmed to go in. Bit like Noel last year

Posted by: dobbo 5th November 2019, 11:48 AM

Fair enough, can't really argue against your narrator comment.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 5th November 2019, 04:11 PM

Foggy was definitely the last non obvious winner.

From the day Vicky went in her year she was the winner in my opinion. And Toff, Scarlett and Harry were all fairly obvious winners in my eyes as well. Didn’t they all top every single vote..

It’s got to the point now where it’s more like a race between who’s going to be runner up but even then I think you can tell quite easily who the top 3/4 are going to be now and who the early eliminations are going to be as well.

There’s definitely been series in the past where the editings been more balanced though than what it’s been lately.

Posted by: Mack. 6th November 2019, 11:06 PM

Kian he wasn't an obvious winner, I felt.

Posted by: RobBob 6th November 2019, 11:29 PM

Yeah, I was pretty certain that was Joey Essex's series to win.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th November 2019, 11:47 PM

I kinda agree on Kian. He wasn’t an obvious winner from day one but once Joey left I felt he had the biggest chance. I thought Joey was a potential winner though. I thought he was before Foggy though haha. I think the last four have been obvious winners.

Going back before then I think Stacey was an obvious winner as well but it’s got worse in the more recent series of who’s ITVs choice of winner. But we shall see! It doesn’t mean I won’t watch it but it’s more exciting if there’s a non obvious feel to it. Around this time next week we should see photos of them in Aus and get the full official line up.

I wonder if they’re all in a lock down location right now?

• Adele Roberts
• Caitlyn Jenner
• Ian Wright
• Nadine Coyle
• Andrew Whyment
• Jacqueline Jossa
• Kate Garraway
• James Haskell
• Roman Kemp
• Myles Stephenson

I'm floored that they've actually got Caitlyn ohmy.gif

ADELE! Never forget her stint in Big Brother all those years ago heart.gif

Posted by: lewistgreen 8th November 2019, 09:53 PM

Adele Roberts is away from Radio 1 now for a few weeks so that’s pretty much a confirmation she’s doing it

Posted by: Jordan Lee 8th November 2019, 10:50 PM

I wonder who the late entrants will be if they see any.

is it possible Jennifer Metcalfe might be one? She was rumoured to be doing it but isn’t on that list. Her HO character seems like she could be heading for prison as well which could tie in with a temporary exit / screen break for her.

But OMG Caitlyn is this years trial contestant for sure! But can easily see Caitlyn being Gemma Collins 2.0 and can see her quitting when they see what the show really is laugh.gif
Buzzing to see Nadine enter though! A nice list there and pretty much everyone’s been named at some point except from Adele.. I did have to google her but I actually recognise her more from Big Brother 3 than anything else.

That’s a good line up on paper though. I know and like quite a few of them!

Posted by: Calum 8th November 2019, 10:55 PM

Really? I guess we will see after show one and how they react on the initial challenges.

I can pretty much predict that Caitlyn will get the biggest edit though and will probably be the top social media trend so that’s why I felt initially they’d be the trail contestant.

BUT.. I kinda forget at times that they’re an athlete so they might be better at the trails than anticipated.
I want Nadine to do some trials though and hopefully get a big edit! But I’m feeling Jacqueline is gonna be the most popular female. This could actually be one of those unpredictable series as they have a pretty good cast and a lot of characters in the same series!

It might depend who’s in which camp too. I think they tend to split them up for the first two/three days don’t they?

On paper I had no idea who she was and thought she’d be a background character who’d be first or second out and would get next to no airtime but god I was so wrong laugh.gif

Posted by: Jαsє 8th November 2019, 11:13 PM

I still regularly watch vids of her time in the jungle on Youtube laugh.gif

I'm still heartbroken she never did CBB

Posted by: LMLou 8th November 2019, 11:15 PM

I used to get so annoyed when folk I knew would hate on Lady C on social media. I was just like "You Don't Understand What good reality TV is!" laugh.gif

Adele Roberts and Roman Kemp? Could be some potentially good banter across the networks!

Posted by: Liаm 9th November 2019, 12:55 AM

Caitlyn could go either way, I think because she's such a big name it's easy to imagine she will be a total diva and command the series but a lot of the time on this show it seems to be that big names disappoint. I think she is such a f***ing awful person though, a terrible representative of the LGBT+ community, and I cba with the amount of "he's got a dick he's a man!11!" she'll get from Strongbow Dark Fruits Twitter, so I'm not fussed at all. For such a big name, I do respect her doing a show like this though and I think for her to do it, she doesn't need the money, she must actually want to give the experience a go (again, as she did the US one in 2003).

Kate screams serial trialist to me too, but I think it could also be Caitlyn. Nadine I think could go either way, I could see her being any of huge disappointment who fizzles out and goes 2nd, hero who gets stuck in or screaming serial triallist. Jacqueline I think will go for it and give everything a shot, Adele I can see being filler - she was an absolute twat on Big Brother but that was so long ago, she must have mellowed a lot. Here for Myles and James' shower scenes x

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 9th November 2019, 01:07 PM

Caitlyn Jenner has pretty much confirmed herself laugh.gif When asked about the show, she said "I am not allowed to talk about this until next week. I am not sure what I can say. I am not allowed to say anything."

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 9th November 2019, 10:41 PM

There's a Celebrity Chase special on before the show next week at 8pm with Rita, Fleur, Malique and James from last year.

Posted by: Adam 11th November 2019, 09:54 AM

I really really like this line up, I'm excited!

Posted by: Liаm 11th November 2019, 10:30 PM

I lowkey already hate Myles laugh.gif Looks like Andy Whyment is out in place of Andrew Maxwell whoever that is

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 11th November 2019, 10:36 PM

Andrew Maxwell is a comedian, only just recognised him from a few panel show appearances - I wonder if Kirk pulled out?

Interesting to see who they get for any late entries!

Posted by: Klaus 11th November 2019, 10:39 PM

Cannot stand Caitlyn Jenner ffs sad.gif and not a fan of Roman either!!

I’d say James is the pick to win at this point.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 11th November 2019, 10:41 PM

Mate who I always discuss the series with is already referring to Caitlym as a 'he'. I'm not putting up with that for the rest of the series!

Posted by: Liаm 11th November 2019, 10:44 PM

If I didn't already hate Caitlyn I'd like her from those clips but ofc it's Caitlyn Jenner so NO

Posted by: darrens94 12th November 2019, 10:17 AM

I guess Kirk will enter later with someone else or unless he pulled out of it last minute

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 12th November 2019, 10:40 AM

I think he pulled out, don't think they'd have 2 contestants with the same first name. (Andrew)

Posted by: dobbo 12th November 2019, 11:20 AM

Don't think I've ever heard Nadine's speaking voice before, did not sound anything like I was expecting.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 12th November 2019, 12:06 PM

I’m feeling like Andy Whyment (Kirk) could enter with Jennifer Metcalfe who plays Mercedes in Hollyoaks. Two soap stars entering together makes sense and she’s been rumoured this year quite a bit.

Posted by: Tombo 13th November 2019, 10:41 PM

I’m glad Caitlyn is taking part. It gives me a reason to watch it as I feel like it is just the same old thing each year.

I’m glad Nadine is in there too.

Same with Myles, although him being in there kinda shows that Rak Su aren’t in that good a place. He will certainly provide eye candy wink.gif

Roman Kemp is awesome so it’s cool to have him too.

There’s a few good celebs in there this year

i love nadine so much! i actually think she'll do well and make a lot of friendships within the camp - her and adele together were great, they both just seem likeable and v genuine. I think that's the case with Myles and Roman as well so I'm glad they were the pairs that got into the good camp.

Caitlyn seems pretty fearless which I've got to applaud but hey she's gone through a lot already so jumping out a plane probs wouldn't have phased her anyway! I think she could become extremely grating though but we'll see, she's got a lot to prove I suppose.

Big spoiler for potential late entry!

Maxine from Corrie tweeted earlier a good luck message for "entering the jungle" to Andrew Whyment (Kirk) which suggests he could be a late entry (or she hadn't realised he had cancelled if he was supposed to be on it).

Posted by: Liаm 18th November 2019, 01:10 AM

I'm surprised at Caitlyn too! Idk what I expected as such, but I actually quite like her after this premiere! Idk if that will continue, I agree she could easily get really annoying but given how much I disliked everything I heard about her before, she made a good first impression. Nadine and Jacqueline are my faves but I don't dislike anyone yet, although Kate has potential there. There doesn't seem to be a dominant standout character, I hope everyone getting a good chance at airtime continues as this was really balanced.

He’s on betting sites too so he could well be going in. It’s rare we don’t get the corrie star going in on day one. Wonder if we’re getting two new arrivals or just him.

I know Jennifer metcalfe was also rumoured but three days ago she was posting on Instagram and they’re usually in lock down for around a week before entering.

I have never routed for anyone quite as much as I did for Jacqueline in that trial! My heart stopped just seeing them on screen! *shudders*

I felt bad for Adele.. it wasn't fair for Roman to keep attacking her luxury item just coz he apparently doesn't understand or know who Jane McDonald is... people like that piss me off tbh and it kinda let Roman down for me as I was really liking him up until that point.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 20th November 2019, 03:13 PM

As rumored, the late entries are confirmed to be Andrew Whyment (Kirky!) and Cliff Parisi (of Eastenders/Call the Midwife)

As the lates usually go in on day 5, there should be some sort of tease at the end of tonight's episode.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 20th November 2019, 05:32 PM

Adele was ridiculous tbh.

She’s one of those people who can’t take a joke but can dish it out.

Posted by: Liаm 20th November 2019, 05:53 PM

The internet are going a bit OTT on her, it's not like she was shouting at him or went off entirely, but Roman definitely meant nothing bad by it and she didn't really need to get defensive.

It's how she was like "that's prejudice", that was just way over the top. He only made a jokey comment about not knowing who Jane McDonald really was, I'd get it if he was like "Adele that's so pathetic what are you doing" or something! I mean it is really random, but apparently they can't double up on luxury items so she couldn't have the family photo she wanted or a pillow or other things.

Also love Jacqueline so much after that trial, what a trooper! Everyone's was so much worse than James' imo, rats don't really sting or anything but then I love rats and think they're adorable so I'd have been fine with that laugh.gif

You’re braver than me! Rats would’ve been my worst of all of those.

Spiders don’t bother me though. I’d have been as scared as Jacqueline was but with rats rather than spiders.

Posted by: pippa 20th November 2019, 07:39 PM

Jacqueline is very relatable.
I would be 100 times worse than her if i had got the one with Rats.
Rats scare the life out of me, and she has the same fear of spiders so i understand her fear.
Adele and that Jane McDonald picture lol, you would think she would have at the least been able to name one of her songs when asked.

Posted by: linds 20th November 2019, 07:56 PM

i think it's very easy for people to judge adele for her item when they didn't get theirs. to them its just a picture but it obviously means something to adele so why shouldn't she have brought it if it makes her happy? it could have just as easily been her box that fell in as well, i dont think anyone would be critical of it if everyone got their stuff. sure she was a bit overdefensive with roman but she probably feels bad that she got her item when most other people didn't and is worried that people will be mad at her for that so i do understand her

James is absolutely gorgeous, I am enjoying these shower scenes 😋

Adele and Roman did so well in that eating task. They smashed it

I don’t think he was attacking her at all he was just bantering and joking with her and she just took it the wrong way for a split second and he apologised straight away .

Posted by: pippa 20th November 2019, 10:07 PM

He in no way attacked her, he questioned it as he was as confused as most of the viewers watching it.
He only said what most people watching were thinking and also most of the other people in the camp.

Nadine is going to be first out isn't she?

She had a great edit on launch night with the skydive but she's barely been featured since. It's frustrating because whenever she HAS been shown, she's came across so well but she's the only one who hasn't had a trial/dingo dollar challenge yet and she also didn't even get a Telegraph moment last night either. Aside from the 1 minute Girls Aloud thing at the start of the show she was basically invisible.

Really annoying but with two extra people joining the camp it's going to push her even more into the background.

She needs a trial or challenge ASAP.

I don’t think she’ll be first out but she’s in danger of being like a third / fourth out type exit unless she gets airtime and does at least one solo trial. She’s kinda getting lost in the edit. With CBB and Sarah it was the opposite but Nadines a lot more reserved and there’s no booze in camp either. Hopefully Nadine will come out of her shell and become more prominent though aside from Caitlyn I’d say she’s the biggest name / sign up they have from a UK perspective.

Ian's such a joke. He decided without QUESTION yesterday that the main camp would get the dingo dollar treat and not the jailhouse. Yet, today, he's throwing a strop because the jailhouse kept something for themselves? laugh.gif

Ian HAS to be first to go surely?? Like there is just no appeal at all, he's just such a misery and a draining Debbie Downer. It must be bad enough being in there but I can't imagine being in there and having him bringing everything down all the time.

I think we’ve seen Kate in the telegraph the most

Posted by: Jonjo 23rd November 2019, 05:40 PM

The exposure of Kate is really... bizarre. Like, she's REALLY not that interesting so I'm baffled by her airtime?! I feel like she tries too hard to "be cool" or whatever. She's lovely as a person, but if IAC was an album, she'd be one of those album fillers that the artist (i.e. ITV here) loves but the fans just don't get it... laugh.gif

Jacqueline is by far and away the most likeable and worthy winner out of them all this year. She's brilliant and so relateable. That's what makes her so great. Her whole journey actually kinda reminds me of Chantelle from Celebrity Big Brother, oddly. Caitlyn is coming across surprisingly well too!

I wish it was vote to evict as I'm SURE Ian would be going. Without a doubt. But voting to save will benefit him far more than it should and that's gonna wind me up. His pre-existing fanbase are always so blind to this sorta shit and will be like "who cares he's a legend!!!!" or "He's entertaining tho!!!!"... Ugh.

Posted by: Klaus 23rd November 2019, 05:52 PM

You’re forgetting Kate is employed by ITV for their flagship clickbait programme kink.gif

a bit like the BBC with Strictly

Posted by: Jordan Lee 23rd November 2019, 05:56 PM

The football fan vote is a tricky one on this show.

Harry won last year but wasn’t Jimmy Bullard first out despite being one of the most shown contestants and the “king of banter etc”. I don’t follow football so I don’t know much if anything about him prior to his. I recognised his name but that was it.

Ian isn’t winning anymore but I could only see him leaving first if both Adele and Andrew get immunity but even then there’s a few others I think could leave before he does (Cliff, James Myles and Nadine).
If he continues to act how he does too it actually benefits in a vote to save in the early eliminations. Lady C did really well didn’t she in the first couple of vote offs in her series (not that hes anywhere near that iconic woman) but it’s the background like characters who are inoffensive and nice enough who tend to leave first. Even if it was vote to evict I still feel Adele would go first you know or maybe even Caitlyn due to Caitlyn having her fair share of haters and being the biggest talking point of the show laugh.gif.

Christ though imagine a vote to evict I’m A Celeb. Queens Lady C and Kim would’ve both been out by elimination two providing they were immune from the first vote off.

Posted by: Jαsє 23rd November 2019, 09:29 PM

I'm finding this series a bit flat tbh

Posted by: Liаm 24th November 2019, 01:48 PM

Yeah I'm finding it pretty dry too, it's a shame because it's a great cast but there's something just not quite clicking sad.gif

Posted by: shadow2009 24th November 2019, 02:02 PM

There's been zero conflict or arguments. sad.gif

Anyway I keep rolling my eyes whenever I see the comments on the Facebook posts for the show. It's mostly middle aged females saying Nadine 'doesn't do anything' and that they're voting for Jacqueline because they're 'sick of her crying'. Umm, if you're going to keep voting for someone to do a trial then of course they're going to be emotional. If you're sick of seeing her get so much screentime (which I am) then vote for Nadine, you know, the person you're claiming 'does nothing' in the camp! She can't do anything if she isn't picked for trials.

I like everyone but I'm not keen on James at all. I don't know how to describe it but it seems like he's just trying way too hard to be likeable. I wanted to mute my TV watching the trial yesterday and hearing him shout variations of 'you got this, stay focused, don't think about it, keep going, we're so proud of you!' a million times at every task, plus I still don't like the way he was passive aggressive with Caitlyn on launch night when they were paired together. He's got zero charisma and yet gets so much screen time. Same with Ian.

I really like Cliff and Andy as new arrivals though. Ideally Nadine would win but she'll probably be third or fourth out and then I'm backing Myles all the way.

Posted by: JosephStyles 24th November 2019, 02:08 PM

I'm finding it enjoyable! There's enough happening with likeable and strong characters for it to be worthwhile viewing, and it's far from the worst series the show's had. It's just not as good as last year, which was quite possibly my favourite series to date. I'm a Celeb has never really been the show for conflict anyway, certainly not in recent years beyond like one divisive character in the camp; after all, it's not Big Brother!

I'm so proud of Nadine so far, she's handled herself with class and has provided some superb moments already! The warm reaction is amazing to see heart.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 24th November 2019, 02:24 PM

I’m enjoying this series so far but I’m the type of person who does like the odd argument. I think that’s why the Lady C series was my favourite as it was a bit like CBB set in the Aussie jungle.

I’m enjoying this series more than last years and the year before because there’s a better balance. Certain people get more air time granted but overall the editing is a lot better and we’re seeing bits from pretty much everyone. Plus the new arrivals are both likeable and have added to the camp in a positive way. I enjoyed yesterday’s trial as we seen everyone (or just about everyone) get to do something as well.

There isn’t anyone I dislike that much this series too. Last season I just couldn’t stand Harry and because he was constantly shown and given the winners edit from the launch i didn’t stan the show as much as I like too. With this series (i keep saying this laugh.gif ) but there’s just no obvious winner. And I already liked and recognised a lot of this years cast before the show started too so that added to my excitement for this season.

Nadine for the next trial please. Queen deserves more screen time.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 24th November 2019, 02:34 PM

Nadine did so well in yesterday’s trial! As far as I’m concerned, a mouthful of cockroaches was yesterday’s more grotesque challenge, and she did it while serving us glamorous hair flips *.*!

Poor Jacqueline being chosen again. I hope she continues to smash it despite her immense fear. I’d really appreciate if the next trial wasn’t done by her though.

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 24th November 2019, 03:14 PM

They are also all getting all the stars, or nearly all, and doing all the challenges with barely a peep laugh.gif: Alpha male James looming ovet the camp is stopping any arguments basically. Bring in Kim Woodburn!! She'd do it.

His whole workout buddy, screaming encoursgement stuff and his lack of charisma are extremely off-putting, and I hated how he was with Caityln too. She jumped out the plane and you have to do the worst bit. Get over it.

Posted by: Klaus 24th November 2019, 10:48 PM

I can’t stand James, I’m glad Kate stood up for herself.
He’s trying too hard to be the good guy, but actually just talking over everyone and valuing his own opinion above everyone else’s.

Jacqueline’s by far my favourite at the moment, Caitlyn’s been great too.

See I actually agreed with Ian here despite him going on about it to much . Andrew could of just done his chores quickly then had his nap .He had all the time in world to nap in there and especially when he wasn’t even fully sleeping and could see Caitlyn and James were struggling he should of just got up and helped .

Public vote trial, yes, but they both did the 'Face Your Fears' trial plus the live trial the other night and have been featured prominently in the highlights.

If you take out ad breaks and Ant and Dec's segments the actual camp highlights are only like 35 minutes long so seeing the same contestants over and over again makes for a really boring show. I don't understand the logic in voting for people who have already done so many things in the camp already.

Posted by: Jade 26th November 2019, 10:37 PM

James was so jarring in the camp leader role - glad that's changing now!

In an ideal world for me it'd be Roman and Nadine as leader and deputy, really wanting to see more of them.

Posted by: Jonjo 27th November 2019, 01:59 PM

Yeah. James is so passive aggressive and just really, incredibly rude. He needs to be gone and this "camp leader" thing needs to be GONE. It's really not adding anything in to the show.. I'd understand if it was to cause conflict for whatever reason, but it's doing absolutely nothing. I hate how high up in everyone perceptions he is... it definitely doesn't feel sincere with him.

Posted by: Liаm 27th November 2019, 02:46 PM

A huge reason why I'm finding the episodes so dry is because it just seems to be ALL James or Ian in some way, even if others are involved or get a moment they have to be there. Ian is drainingly miserable, and James just takes everything so seriously and really needs to chill out. We've got Nadine who's just so funny, Caitlyn who's really warm, Roman who's hilarious, they've all got stories to tell, but we just get Ian Wright's misery and James controlling everything. I think both of them are used to everyone loving them and getting what they want in real life, so now that that isn't happening, they can't take it.

This. James is just the embodiment of toxic masculinity. He forces himself to the forefront of everything and snaps at everyone, controlling every little detail. The way he went on about Nadine and Myles having spare rice was aggressive and rude. He has to go.

Have to say i'm struggling with this series; it feels so downbeat and no one in there with a fun personality. It may just be the likes of Ian and James setting a tone for the camp, but the show itself just doesn't seem that exciting or interesting.

The trials also seem to take an age too - last year was a big high for IAC, however this year just feels like something is missing. I'm struggling to really bother to tune in and watch to be honest

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 27th November 2019, 09:16 PM

Yes!! I keep missing episodes. Ian and James are ruining it and the trials are a joke and just drag.

Posted by: Wall 27th November 2019, 09:19 PM

Nadine gets next to no screen time which is a shame

Posted by: LMLou 27th November 2019, 09:22 PM

Tbis is definitely one of the weakest seasons in years. Last year may have been drama free but the conversations they were having and the dynamics were so interesting. This year is the same dull things every night

Posted by: TomHo 27th November 2019, 09:28 PM

Ian and James put in a really good effort in that task. It must have been very tricky in pitch black. They kept getting so close to the other ones too 🤣

Surely Nadine will get picked for this water trial if it’s the top four?

Everytime James speaks I picture The Beast from

My wish for more Roman and Nadine screen-time coming true with them making up half of the group for the trial tomorrow, yesss *.*

Posted by: troylovesmusic 27th November 2019, 11:49 PM

I’m glad Roman and Nadine got in the trail would of loved Myles to have made it in instead of Ian or Jaqueline as I think those are the 3 I think seem great but not getting enough air time .

Posted by: LMLou 28th November 2019, 12:18 AM

I’m glad Nadine got voted for the trial but it seems like everyone is doing one anyway so will it really matter for screentime?

Posted by: Jay ☆ 28th November 2019, 12:22 AM

Glad that Nadine has finally been chosen. She's been consistently great when she's actually been given something to do, let's hope that continues!

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 28th November 2019, 12:42 AM

I thought there was no vote, seeing as everyone is doing one?

James and Ian have to go. James was FUMING that Caitlyn was leader. The dirty looks and fake smiles he was giving were just ohmy.gif Ian is so so fake in those trials. I just fast-forwarded it. Also, James "bantering" abour knocking everyone out when they challenged him was just more toxic male douchery. James forces himself into every drama, trying to smother it.

Also, the conversation are the same every day: how they slept, trial, complaining about trial, complaining, smashing something, James bossing people about, storm in a teacup, how someone is having a bad day, talking about how nice the treat is, how nice dinner is, the end.

Also I screamed when I seem tonight’s show on record at James and Ian getting 6 stars. If anyone else had done that they’d have been proper snipey towards them and would’ve been thinking I’d have so done better. Was pretty good seeing them struggle. Ian is actually funny though in some ways laugh.gif

That meal tonight looked horrid sick2.gif

Im SO happy Ian and James "only" managed to get 6 stars :') Not that that was bad, but as it's one of (if not THE) lowest of the series so far, I'm happy it was them 2 biggrin.gif

I think the public stop voting for trials tomorrow and the eliminations start so really we should be hoping she gets as much positice screentime as possible. Not sure her failing a trial will inspire much goodwill.

Great to see lots more Andy over the last few days - and Nadine a winner in her Reckoning!

Posted by: shadow2009 28th November 2019, 10:36 PM

I'm so proud of Nadine. It was really exciting seeing her voted by the public to be in a trial especially considering she's barely been featured and she got chosen over the likes of James and Kate who get rammed down our throats.

I know to all of us she's a gay icon but seeing her underwater, jumping out of planes and dealing with bugs and challenges is so bizarre. She's coming across so well and her odds are shortening with every episode. Come on Nadine!

EDIT - Does anyone else think it's a bit suss that they just 'broke the curse' and now have to keep it like that again and defend themselves tomorrow? Are the producers worried that they might lose a big character and were expecting James, Ian, Kate, Caitlyn and Jaqueline to do better in their challenges? Ant and Dec bigged up the 'curse' thing and made out that once the curse was lifted, it was gone for good. It wasn't implied that they would have to keep competing for that title...

Posted by: Jordan Lee 29th November 2019, 10:45 AM

I have to agree. I feel as though they sort of wanted the results to go the other way to what they did tbh!

Especially with both Adele and Andrew winning as well had that been the end of the curse battles I think Cliff may have gone first.

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 29th November 2019, 09:50 PM

When is the voting open?! It definitely sounds as if they're doing a Fix Factor and changing the goal posts to protect their faves.

Okay, I know this word is thrown around constantly with reality TV but tonight was a HUGE fix.

When Ant and Dec described the 'curse' challenges on Wednesday they made it out that once the curse was lifted, it was permanent. The public voted for four contestants to do the water trial yesterday and Nadine and Roman won theirs fair and square, then Adele/Myles/Andrew/Andy won theirs as well. That should have meant that six were immune and six weren't. Fair and square, right? So why on earth did Ant and Dec then go back and tell them that essentially those three trials were pointless because none of them were actually immune and they'd have to fight to break the curse again the next night? Nadine lost her immunity in a f***ing drinking challenge and so did Andrew and Andy. Even though all three of them won theirs in difficult challenges the night previously, they then lost that status over a f***ing drinking challenge.

To make it even worse, even though Adele was buried alive and WON and then competed in the drinking challenge and WON she then had to go into ANOTHER challenge and this time lost out to James and Myles. Now she's first eliminated.

The producers have been constantly changing the rules about this curse thing and it's very convenient how James and Ian ended up immune while Adele and Nadine (who barely get screen time) were up for the vote.

I hope Nadine being in the bottom two tonight doesn't actually mean she was second from bottom. sad.gif She's got tons of online support so I hope it's a generational thing with the phones voting.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 29th November 2019, 11:12 PM

I don't think they ever did say losing the curse would be permanent, they were never going to have half the camp immune. The first 3 trials were for the nicer dinner also.

Yeah 100%, very fishy. I can't say I'm mad that Adele went but it was bullshit tbh, it feels like they didn't get the result they wanted from the Reckoning and did them again until they did. But not only that, if there was an issue with the votes then they should have cancelled it. I feel like there's gonna be a definite generational gap in the phone and app votes, I expect Adele would have gone either way but I don't see why they couldn't carry over the phone votes and do a double tomorrow or something with the app issue fixed. I mean imagine if it had gone really wrong and say because of the generational gap, Roman ended up going laugh.gif

I don't think Nadine being bottom 2 on phone votes is out of the realms of possibility but hopefully it was one of those fabricated bottom 2s!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 30th November 2019, 12:26 AM

I mean I’m a bit in agreement here!

As soon as Ian and James have immunity it’s permanent but before hand it’s not laugh.gif

They should’ve said something along the lines of a series of challenges to decide the 3 immune contestants or something. Adele and Andrew both immune though whilst Ian, James and Caitlyn aren’t though so worried the producers. I’d scream if James or Ian went tomorrow but seems unlikely. I think to make immunity battles fair they should all do just one challenge at the same time and have it be something like ring the bell when you think a certain time has passed the three people closest to the time get immunity and leave it at that. Having people outright win more than one thing and not get immunity then give someone immunity because they sat in a smelly bath ffs.

I didn’t watch the show live tonight as I was at work and I come in and my dad said she didn’t deserve to go tonight but I didn’t know who he was talking about so all show I was like ffs it’s Nadine and then when she got it might be you I was like omg it really is her.

I can see Nadine it might be you being one of those fake bottom twos and I’d imagine her app votes will get her through another vote off or two. But at the same time I can easily have seen everyone bar Andrew and perhaps Cliff getting more votes than her.

Can’t say I’m shocked Adele went though I expected Adele or Andrew to go I think Ian might’ve won Andrew votes though. With Adele I think she’s just one of those contestants who wasn’t amongst the least shown but just didn’t seem to have support from anywhere really.

"A curse has descended on camp. You're all now cursed. Over the next two days there'll be a series of challenges known as Reckonings. Today's Reckonings will give each of you the chance to free yourself from the curse and win food. Now, the public have been voting for who will take on the first of those Reckonings - The Sinister Circus. Roman, Jacqueline, Nadine and Ian - it's the four of you. The rest of you will face your own Reckonings later today."

Ant and Dec didn't specify time-length regarding freedom from the curse, and they didn't mention immunity from the public vote at this stage. The first day of challenges (Sinister Circus, Bad Banquet and Dead Ringers) was essentially just about food! A lifted curse = a proper meal, still being cursed = basic rations.

I guess they could have been clearer in their initial explanation, but I think the "over the next two days" part was meant to imply that the first day's challenges and what the celebs could get out of that (freedom from curse = food) was separate to whatever would occur in Day 2, which Ant & Dec didn't elaborate on in that moment. I suppose it would have complicated matters if they'd explained the entire two days, when the second day wasn't yet relevant to us as viewers, or the camp mates.

Day 2's The Sickening Cinema was the first challenge in which celebs risked being put up for the public vote if they lost a head-to-head challenge. I do agree with you that the "who can down a vile drink the fastest" challenge ultimately being more crucial than the previous day's arguably harder challenges is annoying though. So the winners of that challenge had either retained freedom or gained freedom, but they still hadn't won immunity yet. Trouble Baths was ultimately the battle for immunity from the public vote. That challenge was definitely more in favour of those with bigger hands, which again is kind of annoying.

I don't think that the "The Reckoning" challenges overall was the producers changing the rules as they went along (at least I personally realised that the first day wasn't regarding immunity), however I do think that the order of the challenges was quite arbitrary! I reckon it would have been better if they'd swapped the challenges around... i.e. have the drinking challenge determine who got nice meals or not. Then Day 2's fight for immunity be more skill-based challenges. It would have been more thrilling for us as viewers if challenges like the water diving one had been a race for immunity (and for meals for the camp).

I am definitely feeling :/ about the mess with the app votes. I suppose the fact that app votes are free is I'm a Celebrity's justification for just proceeding with paid-for phone votes, but it still feels unfair.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 30th November 2019, 12:10 PM

The confusion over the votes seems to be that people voting on the app were lead to believe they were voting for who they wanted out rather than who they wanted to stay. Like It’s honestly never been vote to evict it’s not civiallin Big Brother what’s the only show I’ve watched where it’s vote for your least favourite.

But really any vote misleading or confusion should just have the votes disqualified then re open the lines and have a double elimination tomorrow or on Sunday to make up for nobody going on Friday.

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 30th November 2019, 12:15 PM

I didn't vote as I was confused. I fast-forwaded and Ant and Dec said nothing about it, and on here a few days ago people were talking about votes to kick out. It literally said Vote OFF, and so I left it.

Posted by: shadow2009 30th November 2019, 01:44 PM

I know nobody is expecting Nadine to win or even make the final but I really hope she can at least last a few more episodes. I guess last night was probably a scare because of the app votes and other campmates being immune and the fact that it could have been random and she wasn't actually second from bottom but it's still a bit worrying.

Surely she'll beat Cliff and Andrew at least? I have seen ZERO support for them online.

I can sort of see their point. Adele has been incredibly likeable, got stuck in to all challenges, had decent screentime and yet has consistantly been the favourite to be first eliminated and had truly terrible odds of winning. She was 200/1 at one point.

Considering how many straight, white males win these sorts of shows (X-Factor, Britains Got Talent, Big Brother etc) or at the very least make it to the finals it's not at all surprising that the black, female lesbian was the one the public didn't support or find 'likeable'. I wouldn't really call it racism but it's always a trend on reality shows and this year is no different considering Roman and Andy are the two favourites to win and they've done bugger all to deserve it.

I don’t think it’s a surprise that the lady that doesn’t fit the typical societal expectations of a woman is out first. Her presence is an attack on patriarchal, heteronormative culture.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 30th November 2019, 07:54 PM

I really don’t think so tbh at the end of the day Adele was probably the least known in there out of everyone in there and came in with no real fan base like most of them would have done . She wasn’t really a massive or big character in there and despite coming across likeable at times I don’t think the whole Jane Mcconald thing did her much favours either . I don’t think there was any racism or Heteronormativity at all ( And this is coming from a Black Gay in myself ) !

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 30th November 2019, 07:56 PM

It was after her 'prejudiced' comment was when I noticed a lot of dislike for her on social media.

Posted by: Big Boobs Vjay! 30th November 2019, 11:12 PM

James HAS to go. Awful, awful, arrogant controlling, bullying toxic male. The way he glares at everyone and demands they do as he say is just gross. OUT!!

Posted by: TomHo 1st December 2019, 09:57 PM

I can’t believe Kate was in the bottom two. I might have to send some votes her way to keep her in longer.

I don’t really mind that Andrew has gone. He isn’t one of my favourites. He’s a nice guy and stuff but just isn’t my fave.

James did grate on me a bit in yesterday’s episode but I think he was just extremely hangry which is understandable given his muscle mass.

I’m glad Nadine was safe today. I was worried after she was in the bottom two before.

Ian is very entertaining in trials.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 1st December 2019, 10:00 PM

I’m wondering if Kate and Nadine were genuinely second last tonight and last night it or if they were random. Harry was once an it might be you last year despite him winning every single show. We won’t know till the end.

Adele and Andrew were always gonna be the first two originals to go. Guessing Cliff might go tomorrow.

Posted by: Klumpkin 1st December 2019, 10:11 PM

Not surprised by Andrew going! He didn't particularly become a fan favourite after being one of the lesser known to go in. He was decent but not someone I'd root for or want in the final! I'm unsure if Nadine or Kate were bottom two - could go either way on them, however I'd have thought Nadine would've been in the bottom again if that was true.

I would prefer it if James and Ian went - particularly Ian. I hate it when people have to be careful with their behaviour because someone else can't control their emotions, that's no excuse for poor behaviour. Least favourite moment of the series was when James was telling Jacqueline to watch her words as Ian may react to them in yesterday's (?) episode. Sad reflection of letting men get away with murder whilst women are expected to accommodate it.

Myles has been growing on me recently so I'd like to him to survive a bit longer, before I thought he was dead-wood. I'd rather the like of Roman, Myles and Andy went further than James and Ian.

Posted by: shadow2009 1st December 2019, 10:11 PM

Nadine REALLY needs to put herself forward for a trial tomorrow. It's between her and Cliff for next elimination probably.

Why is she getting zero screentime? She got like 30 seconds tonight while everyone else probably got equal (aside from James and Ian as usual). What's with the producers trying to edit her out?

Posted by: Jαsє 1st December 2019, 10:15 PM

To be fair I barely saw any of Myles or Cliff in this episode (well we did see some of Cliff...) I think it's the likes of James and Ian naturally grab the attention, Caitlyn, Andy and Kate will always interject and be involved in most discussions. Nadine is just not as in your face as some of the others in there so I don't think they're deliberately not giving her screentime when others are in a similar position.

I could understand if it was happening here and there but that's been like three episodes in a row now where everyone else is being shown in the Telegraph, having conversations with eachother, doing trials and dingo challenges, being talked about by Ant and Dec etc and Nadine just has one or two lines to boost someone else's narrative.

Surely the 'how did you sleep?' conversations aren't more interesting than anything Nadine has to say?

Anyway it's partly her own fault as she's had a few occasions to get involved in something and turned it down. sad.gif

Posted by: linds 1st December 2019, 11:51 PM

You can tell it's just not her style to be at the forefront of the group but I would have thought her friendships with the other women would be worth more screen time as you could tell from the first episode or so Nadine was very much the type to strike up a bond with pretty much anyone, especially Caitlyn and Jacqueline

Even the shower part with Kate and Caitlyn, Nadine was just kinda there but maybe we weren't shown her actually being involved in the conversation... Surely in that context she woulda been tho??

Maybe they're trying to show less of her so they get less "what is she saying?! We need subtitles" comments online kink.gif

They're both definitely bring the mood down in camp. There was a scene in last weeks one where 5 of them were by the stream (without either of them) playing Would you Rather. And the tone etc was just really light, friendly and entertaining.

I haven't watched the last couple of episodes as I'm in can't be arsed territory; but good to see that i'm not missing anything

They control the camp, BARK if anyone doesn't do what they say, demand alpha male style allegiance, and then everyone jsut talks about them. At least half of Andrew's interview was him doting on James!! "Oh he's so strong and bossy wub!" Ridiculous. Shouting, put your hands up for this, put your hands up for this, finished, is a VEERY alpha male, testosterone-addled-brain-way of getting group agreement. Hate him. He is ruining the whole series.

I'm not a fan of his either, seemed a nice guy but broke this weekend when he had a go over the ice Pops incident.

Can anyone make a gif of Nadine grabbing Adele's shoulder on launch night after finding out she's skydiving? I'm hopeless at it but I want an excuse to use it and send to people. laugh.gif

Posted by: shadow2009 2nd December 2019, 10:33 PM

GREAT episode!

Nadine did so well with the trial. She was hilarious, had plenty of one liners and banter with Ant and Dec and didn't whinge or complain. She's getting universal praise on social media and forums and her odds are shortening again. biggrin.gif

She also was featured in a few other segments and is safe from the voting again!

Happy days.

Posted by: December Dong 2nd December 2019, 10:37 PM

That might be you stuff is totally fake.

Posted by: Liаm 2nd December 2019, 10:40 PM

Nadine is such a star! Sometimes when they're a "just get on with it" kind of person in trials it can be quite boring, but she's still absolutely hilarious along with it, and she's just coming across as the most lovely warm person as well. I'd love her to snatch a dark horse win but I think she honestly could make the final now which would be amazing considering she looked like she might be first boot near the start!

Posted by: linds 2nd December 2019, 10:48 PM

I just love her so much, it doesn't matter what's getting thrown at her she's always smiling and trying to see the funny side of it, what an absolute sweetheart and QUEEN for slaying that trail!

Posted by: shadow2009 2nd December 2019, 10:54 PM

She's overtaken Caitlyn in the bookies now and is fourth favourite to win.

As long as she beats Ian and James I don't care. I suspect it'll be between either of those two or Myles to be eliminated tomorrow.

Posted by: Jαsє 2nd December 2019, 10:54 PM

Nadine won't win but I'll be quite shocked if she's not top 5 at least now tbh

Posted by: Jade 2nd December 2019, 10:56 PM

Nadine really was fantastic tonight! Roman is a tough favourite to budge but I think she's challenging Jacqueline as my second favourite now. <3

Posted by: ChristmaSteve201 2nd December 2019, 11:54 PM

The look on Ant and Decs face when she finished the trial!

Lol at Kate's face when Myles told her he liked older woman!

Posted by: WhoChristmasssy 3rd December 2019, 12:23 AM

I'm not really sure who will go at next! I think it'll be a surprising one.

Posted by: Jαsє 3rd December 2019, 03:44 PM

I think either Myles or Kate will go tonight

But yeah, I'm over this series. One of the dullest I've ever watched so it's background noise to me now sad.gif

Posted by: Adam 3rd December 2019, 03:58 PM

I hope so, I really don't want it to be Kate, Nadine or Caitlyn - any of the three who have been 'bottom two' (maybe)

I love Jac - and think she might well win it, and I like Roman though he has been a bit background lately.

So I'm at peace with it being Myles, Ian, James or Andy out tonight.

Posted by: December Dong 3rd December 2019, 06:00 PM

I hope it's James. Adele went iut with her 150/1 odds and so did Cliff. James now has the same odds. If not him, Myles. Ian has hisnfootball fans still backing him unfortunately.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 3rd December 2019, 06:07 PM

I think tonight’s elimination will be the most surprising. I’d say James will go before Ian though. I’d be surprised if Ian went tonight.

I’m also feeling the it might be you’s have all been fake. I’d be SO surprised if Caitlyn was second bottom last night. Nadines it might be you may have been true... just but I think she’s gaining in popularity more than anyone else now.

I had a feeling Cliff was gonna be an early exit as pleasant as he was. I called Adele and Andrew too but its actually unpredictable now. Kate, James and Nadine seem sort of likely to go I’d say. Ian id actually be really shocked at leaving as soon as tonight though. Myles is an odd one I wouldn’t notice much if he left but he’s young, Male and very attractive so I think he might do better than his odds suggest. But a lot of males who get the teen vote based off looks are way off my personal type so I could be wrong laugh.gif

It really has been a dull season for some reason. I'm not massively rooting for any of them this year although I don't really dislike any of them either.

It doesn't seem to have had as much camp interaction or moments that have made me laugh, although Ant & Dec have been reasonably on form and are really holding the show at the moment.

Posted by: shadow2009 3rd December 2019, 07:02 PM

If Nadine can survive over James and Kate in the next two nights (or Myles) then it should maybe get her a chance to do another trial to boost her popularity again. laugh.gif

Blame the 2 toxic alpha males, James and Ian, for suffocating the camp.

I think the same. If Myles does the trial and makes a good impression he'll be safe and I'm sure Kate being shown in the Telegraph 100 times will ensure her votes too. I can't see Caitlyn going this early as ITV will want to make sure they get their moneys worth out of her and of course the other three aren't going anywhere. sad.gif

Yup. I think they're saying Cait's in the bottom two to encourage fans to vote for her. She's probably not doing as well as they expected in the votes and they don't want another Noel Edmonds disaster happening.

Kate was amazing in that trial. Very funny and she seems like such a lovely lady.

Please kick Myles out though.

EDIT - And give Nadine more than 10 seconds of screentime!

Posted by: Jαsє 5th December 2019, 10:31 PM

Double elimination tomorrow! I think it'll be Caitlyn and Nadine.

Prediction -

6th: Caitlyn
5th: Nadine
4th: Kate
3rd: Roman
2nd: Andy
1st: Jacqueline

Posted by: linds 5th December 2019, 10:33 PM

I think Caitlyn will be one of them but I'm reaaaaaaaaaally hoping Nadine can cling on a bit longer, ideally I'd want Andy to go as well but there's more likelyhood of its being Kate, although she's been coming across as extremely genuine and likeable which will go in her favour in this vote which means Nadine is probs in trouble with her lack of screen time sad.gif

Posted by: shadow2009 5th December 2019, 10:35 PM

Her only chance of surviving tomorrow is the trial. There's no other way. She isn't going to beat Kate (or the others) by being invisible for the entire show again.

Posted by: Jαsє 5th December 2019, 10:35 PM

Yeah, with the GMB connection they'll really want Kate to make the cyclone at least.

I mean, Nadine has done amazing so far and has provided us with great GIF's and quotes but it's so frustrating that if she got more screentime she'd probably be a favourite to win. Her odds HALVED after her trial on Monday and since then she's just been pushed to the back and barely been shown. So f***ing annoying.

Want:
06. Andy
05. Roman
04. Kate
03. Nadine
02. Caitlyn
01. Jacqueline

I LOVE all the girls so tha was hard to order. I even love Roman. But I think Jaq has earned this win,

Expect:
06. Caitlyn
05. Kate
04. Nadine (maybe switched with Kate if she doesn't get the trial tomorrow)
03. Andy
02. Roman
01. Jacqueline

I think it’ll be Caitlyn and Nadine as well.

But to be fair Nadines done really well to get this far and the shows turned her perception around.

Caitlyn I’m feeling really was second bottom against Myles last night. This is round about the point I expected Caitlyn to go though like just before the final similarly to how Joey Essex did who iirc also left in a double elimination.

Looks like another invisible episode for her. REALLY frustrating because if she did the trial she'd probably have sailed through to tomorrow.

That's what I end up finding boring, you don't see enough of the actual camp and the people in it, the stories they have to tell, the warmth they have, a lot of the time it's just waking up, the trial, the dingo dollar, dinner then elimination. I know they've only got a certain amount of time to fill but I feel like it's very clear with Nadine in particular, when she's shown she has so much to give but you don't get enough time to see her if she doesn't do a trial or challenge.

I think Andy is hilarious - the task tonight was so funny!

Posted by: shadow2009 7th December 2019, 12:27 AM

Gutted at the result but definitely saw it coming. Frustrated with the circumstances however it was a joy watching her interview - she just oozes charisma and positivity.

When she was announced for the show I was pretty excited because I know how camp and funny she is and I couldn't imagine her doing trials or going without makeup etc and to then see her on Launch Night jump out of a helicopter with Caitlyn Jenner was the most bizarre thing to witness. She had genuine fear and overcame it and I knew she was going to be a great campmate from then. Her initial odds to win were very disheartening and she did start to blend into the background a bit but whenever she did get a little airtime she always came across so well.

There was alot of social media comments querying why Nadine was never involved in trials and I think that was probably the main reason why she got voted to do the immunity challenge (underwater padlock one) - even though Ian, James and Kate were getting tons more airtime the public definitely at that point wanted to see Nadine do something for once - and I noticed from that trial onwards that she started to pick up more and more support. Granted, there was a majority of episodes where she was basically invisible (including the last two evenings) but I'm so glad she was the only one along with Ian and Andrew to actually get a solo trial. She was hilarious and determined and got full meals for everyone, and then her odds to win halved and she eventually almost became 2nd favourite to win. There was so much love for her on social media after that trial with people commenting they never knew how much they liked her until now....and so it was very sad to see her basically get no airtime after that and watch her odds tumble from 7/1 to 40/1 within a matter of days. She never stood a chance with that airtime. I think she could have made the final with some more airtime and would have benefited majorly from that trial tonight but coming 5th, increasing over 100K followers on Instagram, changing public opinion and accomplishing a skydive is nothing to be ashamed of.

She's also provided plenty of great GIFs and while I was sad to see her journey end - mostly because I want to watch her on TV as much as possible - I couldn't help but laugh and smile at her interview with Ant and Dec.

Hopefully with a bigger fanbase she can quickly release some music while there's still a buzz around her. It obviously won't do that well but even something to go top 100 would be a step forward.

God I love her.

Posted by: December Dong 7th December 2019, 11:13 PM

This has had a drop off of more than 6 million viewers. It's just so boring. I've stopped watching. The formula is so stale: wake up, talk about how they slept, trial, short chat, dingo dollar, cooking, meal, diary room, night, ant and dec, repeat.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 7th December 2019, 11:14 PM

Im rooting for Jacqueline but feel happy at all the final 3 tbh.

And I’ll be happy for whoever takes it. I do think this will be the closest year for like four years and I have a feeling we’ve had more than one person top the polls each night when the stats end up being released.

Social media wise I’m seeing quite the split, seeing support for all three. The last few series haven’t been like this. I’m wondering if the trials they do tomorrow might play a part in deciding who ends up winning.

Posted by: Jαsє 7th December 2019, 11:16 PM

It really has been an absolute borefest this year.

I read somewhere that ITV wanted a more family friendly/lighthearted show after the Lady C year and apparently producers go into camp as soon as tensions start bubbling to remind them of the family friendly thing.

You don't have to have constant arguing to make a good series (last year was SO much fun and there was barely any bickering) but c'mon, when we're resorting to having chats about missing your loved ones farts, something obviously isn't working mellow.gif

Posted by: Liаm 8th December 2019, 12:00 AM

Yeah I haven't watched for like 4 days laugh.gif It's just been so dull, I agree it doesn't have to be endless fighting but there's just been absolutely nothing this year, not much of anything. Idk what it is but it's a shame, a year where they have a great cast that has Nadine Coyle and Caitlyn Jenner is the one that's dull.

Id love that to be the result, il be disappointed if jacqueline doesn't win.plus I really feel for her as when she gets out she has so much s**t to face with all the dan stuff that she wont get to enjoy it.

I like Jac when she's more calm and reserved and was having chats with the girls. She seemed really lovely and down to earth.

It's when she does the trials that she becomes really...fake? Like hysterical and contradictory behaviour.

Also I know I need to get over it but IMAGINE Nadine doing any of these three trials?

Posted by: ChristmaSteve201 8th December 2019, 09:42 PM

Andy eating the pigs testicle 😂

Posted by: Slade 8th December 2019, 09:44 PM

I'm shaking a bit just watching Roman's trial omg confined spaces and snakes would be my absolute nightmare!!

Dan, the fool Chloe Ayling and Natalie Nunn.....

Would be great if Jacqueline won.

OMG YES JAC!

Posted by: coi 8th December 2019, 10:32 PM

That might be the biggest surprise of the entire results.

Posted by: Slade 8th December 2019, 10:32 PM

The bookies got everything right except for the winner! Remember when she was bottom of the odds right at the start?! Argh, so pleased for her!

Posted by: FKA Twiglets 8th December 2019, 10:33 PM

I wish I'd bet on her!!! I said to Mr D* from day one that I thought she'd win! drama.gif

Posted by: ElectroBoy 8th December 2019, 10:33 PM

Yay

10 quid at 16/1 - Excellent in the run up to Christmas!

Posted by: LMLou 8th December 2019, 10:34 PM

I can't remember the last time Ihave been this shocked by a reality TV show winner OMG

Posted by: linds 8th December 2019, 10:41 PM

I'm so happy with that result! Wish Roman was 2nd but I'm over the moon for Jac, I think she deserved to win more than anyone, when she got all emotional talking about how she's come out a new person and knows herself better now etc I found myself tearing up too, she is such a star wub.gif

There's loads of outraged Andy fans spewing hate on twitter and I still don't know what they all saw in him that made him more deserving?? He was so dull right until the very end unsure.gif

Posted by: LMLou 8th December 2019, 10:46 PM

Jacqueline definitely had the best story arc throughout the series. It felt like she overcame the most and was the protagonist in the same way the likes of Scarlett and Vicky were presented to be

Posted by: Brett-Butler 8th December 2019, 10:47 PM

It didn't feel like there was an obvious winner this year compared two the prior two series', so well done to Jac. Would have preferred Andy, but she definitely deserved the win, especially after the final trial.

Posted by: Klumpkin 8th December 2019, 10:52 PM

Bit harsh to call Andy dull throughout the whole thing. I agree he's not gone on a journey like some of the others, but you can't deny he's one of the most genuine and naturally funny guys in there. His reaction to Caitlyn not knowing Mr. Brightside really sums up how he is laugh.gif

Very happy Jacqueline won there - you could see how much she couldn't believe and just how much the whole experience meant to her. Bit nervous for her to face the papers and all that's been out about her and her relationship, but for that brief moment it's so nice to see someone's reaction to something that means so much to her and all the campmates have hit the nail on the head when she just needs to realise she is amazing and is capable of so much!

Also very happy that Roman was top three - I'm surprised how much he's been affected by this experience considering he's come from a celebrity upbringing and been exposed to so many amazing things in life already! Also very down to earth and very charismatic without being overbearing like some of the others. He's been a gentlemen and a real supporter of his fellow campmates and he's proved he's way more than just a faceless Capital presenter. I reckon he'll move onto bigger and better things as a result of this. I'd imagine some more major presenting roles in the TV industry?

I won £708 across four bets wub.gif

Posted by: ElectroBoy 8th December 2019, 10:56 PM

Couldn't believe Andy was as low as 1/11 with one bookie this evening and Jac never really got lower than 3/1.

Just goes to show!

Posted by: Michael Bubré 8th December 2019, 11:06 PM

I didn't watch much of the series to be fair but Andy really didn't strike me as very interesting at all from what I saw of him. Glad that Jacqueline beat him. x

Posted by: ChristmaSteve201 8th December 2019, 11:19 PM

I liked Andy a lot but either were decent winners!

You might think it's harsh but it's just my opinion, I didn't think he was funny at all (like being surprised someone doesn't know a song isn't a comical moment???), nice enough guy I'm sure and him swinging on the hammock was cute but he really didn't stand out to me and should have probs left after Myles imo, Roman had more to offer with being "genuine and naturally funny" and I found myself rooting for him more in his trials whereas I didn't really for Andy, he was just kinda there for me ‍♀️ I even preferred Kate because she was the underdog of the season, her conversations with everyone were always interesting etc so sure she had a story too but she was also more entertaining to watch. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Andy I just don't see him as being this iconic comical character that was robbed of a win the way a lot of people seem to but then maybe that's because I've never seen Corrie laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 8th December 2019, 11:26 PM

I just think Andy was basically Kirk, not dull just not worthy of winning for me. So happy for Jacqueline, didn't expect her to do it at all wub.gif

I bet it's a real moment for her, she needs that show of support and she bossed everything thrown at her despite her fears and struggles throughout.

I’m so happy for Jaqueline she’s a well deserved winner imo . She went on such a journey in there and brought a lot to the series . Also her final interview interview/speech with Ant and Dec was really heartfelt !

Totally agree, delighted for her.

Gagging for the stats tbh

Harry's lead was big last year, I wonder if it will have been close between Jacqueline and Andy

Posted by: December Dong 9th December 2019, 01:25 PM

Andy was honestly so dull. He was literally only popular with people who watch Corrie. They were voting for a Corrie character rotf.gif I've never seen it, so for me he was just really dull.

Posted by: WhoChristmasssy 9th December 2019, 01:28 PM

I don't watch Corrie, and thoroughly enjoyed Andy.

Posted by: pippa 9th December 2019, 03:14 PM

Jacqueline is a deserving winner, very much a journey.
Andy seemed like a very nice person and good sense of humour but never to me felt a winner.

Posted by: FKA Twiglets 9th December 2019, 05:18 PM

I don't understand any dislike for Andy... I don't think he was Kirk as such, possibly more that it showed he doesn't have to do much acting in his day job! But he was a nice guy and he did make me laugh a few times which is more than most of them did this year, I liked it when Caitlyn was talking about her cars and he said he'd got a new Kia

Posted by: Jordan Lee 9th December 2019, 05:55 PM

What’s people’s predictions for Jacs winning %?

I’m predicting maybe by around 10-15%?

Also feel like Caitlyn could’ve topped the first vote off, and Andy and perhaps Roman too each could’ve won one as well. I do feel Caitlyn May have been more popular in the first few votes than at least one of Roman and Andy though and then when they grew she slipped due to the edit showing her less.

Be so interesting to see who’s “it might be you” were actually the second least voted for as well.

Posted by: pippa 9th December 2019, 09:08 PM

I would like to think Jacqueline had a comfortable win.
I look forward to the stats becoming available.

Posted by: LMLou 10th December 2019, 07:14 PM

Final vote percentages
Jac - 50.6%
Andy - 49.4%

Posted by: Slade 10th December 2019, 07:20 PM

Just seen that - wow so close ohmy.gif Percentages up to Roman's elimination also revealed:

Jacqueline 36.97%
Andy 33.89%
Roman 29.15%

Hopefully we'll get all of the stats within the next few days

Posted by: troylovesmusic 10th December 2019, 07:51 PM

I had a feeling it was going to be close it was very close between all 3 and very split all over social media !

Posted by: Jordan Lee 10th December 2019, 08:33 PM

Wow that’s close!!

I much prefer finals like that though compared to people winning with 70-80%!

Can’t remember seeing any other final be that close other than Charlie Brooks and Ashley Roberts.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 10th December 2019, 11:14 PM

Very close but delighted it was the right winner.

Yes! It was a bit surreal to see Kendall Jenner popping up on FaceTime to discuss I'm A Celeb laugh.gif also, Andy reuniting with his kids was sweet.

I was just browsing Digital Spy and apparently the full stats aren't being released this year? whaaaat sad.gif

Posted by: LMLou 13th December 2019, 10:43 AM

That's annoying. Wonder if it's anything to do with the issues in the first elimination voting

Yeh it's the best episode of the whole series.

I was told that there was a 1.5% difference between Andy and Jacq. Think the person who told me that saw it online so not sure if the source though.

Posted by: WhoChristmasssy 13th December 2019, 12:15 PM

It was a 1.2% difference!

I have a weird feeling the stats won’t be released because there is perhaps a massive discrepancy with the first vote (where app votes were cancelled) and so they want to avoid controversy? Maybe Cliff was high up on that but app votes may have meant he should have been first out. It’s likely Nadine probably was bottom 2 but obviously ended up 5th.

Posted by: ChristmaSteve201 13th December 2019, 07:23 PM

Agreed

Posted by: Jordan Lee 14th December 2019, 09:20 PM

Meh. I want to see all the stats sad.gif

I feel Nadine could’ve been a big app voted so maybe she was really second bottom in vote one and then gradually grew in popularity. I have to admit I never voted by phone but used the app on all the votes I was able too the only one I didn’t vote on was the first vote bc I was at work.

I definitely feel some of the it might be yous were fake. Like at least one of Caitlyns, Kate’s perhaps when she was an it might be you in vote 2.

I think Ian may have started out really high and Caitlyn too. It’s such a shame that this year is the year we don’t get them after seeing just how close the final was. It’s much more interesting to look at than seeing one person getting around 6x times every one else’s vote every vote like we usually get laugh.gif

This series averaged 10.59 million viewers - the fourth most watched series of IAC ever after last year's record breaking one, 2013 (Kian Egan year) and 2004 (Kerry Katona year) - amazing how well this still does.

Posted by: December Dong 17th December 2019, 11:49 AM

It shed five million viewers start to finish due to how boring it was. It might be facing an X Factor-style decline.

Posted by: ChristmaSteve201 18th December 2019, 12:24 AM

10m is a huge figure for a tv show these days though.

It's like a traditional part to the Xmas build up these days.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 9th January 2020, 08:06 PM

Extra Camp will not return next year! Real shame

Posted by: Jordan Lee 13th January 2020, 11:18 PM

A surprise tbh! I barely watched the last series of Extra Camp because of my work patterns last year when the show was on so I’d either be up until 5am watching the show and that or leave myself with like four hours sleep by the time extra camp finished so I just watched the main show.

It was light hearted fun though and I liked it when I did watch it on previous series. I used to like seeing unseen bits and hearing people’s views on the camp mates etc.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 13th January 2020, 11:21 PM

Given that they've also scrapped BGMT, it feels like ITV2 are trying to move away from the main channel.

Apparently there will be an I'm a Celeb podcast for next year.
