The 15th World Athletics Championships 2015 will be held in Beijing, China on 22-30 August.

The coverage of the championships will be live on the BBC in the UK.

Will anyone be watching it?

Hopefully these championships will be remembered for the right reasons and stop all the controversy surrounding blood data.

I shall be watching, as always.

Looking forward to the sprints from a GB perspective, which is still weird.

Even more bad news in the world of athletics.

28 athletes who completed at the 2005 and 2007 World Championships have returned 'adverse findings' from retested samples according to the IAAF.

It's hope the World Athletics Championships are remembered for the right reasons.

Adam Gemili will not be racing in the 200m following medical advice.

That's a shame.

Yes, I'll be watching - love the world championships.

Lord Coe has been voted as the new president of IAAF.

That's a good choice in my opinion.

No

You're a drugs cheat, Gatlin.

If he can run the quickest times this year. Why the hell did he take steroids in the first place?

I have never been more behind Usain Bolt than I will be on Saturday at 2:15. Gatlin should have been thrown out for good when he was caught a second time.

"There are not going to be medals passed out to everybody in the world. It is going to be passed out to one person, the champion." - Justin Gatlin.

Oh yes, Justin, there are medals for more than one person...and yours will be silver.

Hope KJT can get the woman's heptathlon title, although she has had a niggling injury for most of this year. And of course it would be awesome if Jess Ennis can take a medal too after having her baby.

Mo is a don and hopefully he can win the double 5000/10,000M at the World Champs again for Team GB.

Also looking forward to seeing newcomers like Dina Asher-Smith and Zharnel Hughes and how far they can go too.

Hopefully for a Farah victory tomorrow in the men's 10,000m.

Definitely be interesting to see how our relay teams do and Asher-Smith, Hughes do in their respective events.

A Day-To Day Guide courtesy of the BBC:

Very glad that the BBC have still got the rights to the Championships after Channel 4's attempt in 2011 which will be remembered for Otis Deley's presenting skills:

Although to be fair to him, it was his first job as a sports presenter.

I feel unbelievably sorry for Katarina there, for that split second I thought she pulled out one of the best jumps I've ever seen under such pressure, just as Katarina thought she had too. As soon as I saw the slow-motion replay, I knew in my heart that she was a millimetre over the board but I so hoped she'd get away with it.

I remember Katarina being so close to a record in a recent championship but she missed out by something like 10 points, and now she's basically had a potential gold medal slip through her fingers because of one millimetre. I so hope that Katarina finally gets that gold medal in Rio next year, she deserves it so much! I think Katarina is in the main long jump competition too later in the week, it'd be incredible if she got something from that.

Hopefully Jess can go on and win the heptathlon now, it was great that she supported Katarina after their final jumps.

Aww, poor KJT sad.gif She definitely has a medal for that in her future, but well done for Jess for getting it in the end, that's an incredible achievement for her.

I'm enjoying watching the odd event here, this is a fine warm-up for the Olympics.

Didn't like KJT's attitude in the 800m at all. I ran faster than that when I was 11.

I get that she's still got the long jump to come but it's hardly like running properly would tire her out for that.

Really pleased that Usain Bolt won the men's 100m and pipped that two-time drugs cheat Justin Gatlin on the line. Can't understand Gatlin at all, his attitude and demeanour. 4 people in that final who have had drug bans: Powell, Gay and Rodgers.

Fantastic performance from Ennis-Hill. Brilliant comeback after a year on from giving birth. She shouldn't be dismissed at all.

YES!!!!!! Now hopefully Bolt can make it a treble and send Gatlin home with three silvers.

Great performance from JEH - composed the whole way through. KJT looked nervous as anything but she was desperately unlucky in the long jump. She will get there though. She won the high jump and 200m and set personal bests in the hurdles and shot putt. Would have been a really, really exciting finish if she'd still been there for the final 800m.

Fantastic performance from Fraser-Pryce to win the women's 100m and a good performance from Schippers to win sliver.

Justin Gatlin's agent has said that Justin will be boycotting interviews from the BBC and the British media over them being biased against him during yesterday's 100m final in their coverage. Oh dear.

Rabah Yousif ran a massive PB in the 400m semis to go through as a fastest loser. Probably won't get a medal as the competition is probably the fiercest of any event on the timetable. Amazing stuff. Martyn Rooney went out, had clearly knackered himself in the heats.
