Will Drake get a 14th week "sigh" he could be looking at another week or two at #1, his streaming sales is keeping him there. Hardly any new entries apart from Olly Murs in the singles chart. Biffy Clyro 'Ellipses', The Avalanches 'Wildflower', Shura 'Nothing's Real' should be the highest new albums in the top 10, the former will probably bag the #1 album this week, other new albums from Lawson, ScHoolboy Q, Roisin Murphy, Heart, Aphex Twin and BADBADNOTGOOD. Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

QUOTE Neil Claxton
Ooh, look at Shura with her album at number 4 so far. All the top 5 are new entries, she should be top 10 at least. |

Going by Amazon and iTunes, I'm guessing the Top 5 new albums consist of Biffy Clyro, Lawson, Shura The Avalanches and either ScHoolboy Q or Heart.
Biffy should easily be #1, I'm guessing in the 30-40k region, and could quite possibly sell well (or, in other words, drop less sharply than the norm) for the rest of the month as I believe they're touring. |

I'd like to see Olly Murs in the top 5, and Calum Scott a bit higher in the top 10 too.

Yes, I think Biffy Clyro should break the run of single week Number 1's we are in at the moment. |

Can imagine Lawson starting off well and dropping rapidly - Even with the low sales of be surprised if they ended up Top 10 considering the last 2 singles didn't trouble the Top 100 ('Money' may have scrape in until it was mysteriously made chart ineligible).

Hopefully a new number 1 but sadly U don't see it happening, he always seems to creep up and get it, I don't get it, I really don't, its not a great song, not a classic that will be remembered in 10 years

I think Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down has a good chance at No 1, if not this week then next week, although I am enjoying Drake's run at No 1, 13 weeks and counting.

Johns new single probably won't make the top 100 come Friday. Such an awful song!

Bloody hell at John Newman - The song is diabolical but he's looking like he'll miss the Top 100!

This Girl is obviously going to miss out getting number 1.
Who's the contender now? The Chainsmokers? Jonas and Calum are too low on streams to even consider being a number 1 challenger. |

Dance With Me Tonight had higher sales than the week it was #1: 3/12/11: 74,475 (#2) 10/12/11: 62,417 (#2) 17/12/11: 46,584 (#1) 24/12/11: 41,726 (#3) 31/12/11: 38,217 (#6) 7/1/12: 76,822 (#2) 14/1/12: 31,809 (#6) Which makes Wrapped Up #5 on this list so his new one would need to sell 75k to be top 5 |
