McKay will write, direct and co-produce along with Kevin Messick under McKay’s Hyperobject Industries Banner.
The film follows two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.

Adam McKay is behind the hits: 'Vice', 'The Big Short', 'Anchorman', 'Step Brothers' etc.. The former 2 being his most recent movies and getting widespread award notice.
Absolutely can not WAIT for this!
Leonardo is my absolute fave actor. Meryl is an all time legend with Cate Blanchett. Jennifer Lawrence is the first major actress to take off in the social media era (well in terms of having a massive following & being the topic of conversation - she's the earliest kind of social media star I can think of?), so any kind of news relating to her and Timothee Chalamet (who I legit see as the male alternative - MASSIVE following) is going to bring eyes to this. Throwing Ariana's name into the ring... this is Film Twitter's ultimate dream. (It's only missing Saorise Ronan & Zendaya tbh)

Ari wasn't in the film for too long but I found her memorable, especially with the moment of an actual song

Watched the movie on Sunday, finally... Her part is way smaller than I thought and that song was totally pointless for the story lol Anyway, nice to see her doing some profile big movies at last, looking forward to Wicked.

I didn't think it would but it's a shame 'Just Look Up' didn't get a nom for best original song. Especially when 'No Time To Die' got a pretty muted critical reception.

Yeah I tried to keep my expectations very low but a sliver of me did hope! Ah well, very cool that she's involved with a Best Picture nominee nevertheless - did not see that coming.
I wonder if she'll have a shot with any of the 'Wicked' music
have had a lot of family time since Christmas Eve. Maybe tomorrow!
