Oh good, now he'll have a new song to wheel out on literally every single National Final ever!

Not surprised if Ida Maria is in, she wrote this criminally underrated track about BDSM from last year's MGP.

Well I'm glad the Rybak song is shit so that he isn't going to be an obvious winner at all

I felt so much second-hand embarrassment watching that laugh.gif

All the songs are available via the NRK site

Oh my. That would be a fall from grace greater than Dana International if Norway send that to Eurovision.

It's like the idea of 'Love Love Peace Peace' but without any charm, likeability or self-awareness. I can't imagine how it would exceed nul points.

Omg that is SO bad wtf. You'd think if a winner came back with such a legacy as Fairytale behind them, they'd want to be sure that the new song lived up to that....

The Rybak song is a pisstake no? Nobody can look back at the past few Eurovision's and think 'Oh yes! ELECTRO VELVET should be the inspiration behind my comeback'.

That's how you do not write a song!

Excited about the rest of the line up!

Scandilove is my first OBSESSION of the National Final Season this year!

Shock horror, it is also my favourite. It'd certainly stand out in Lisbon as I can't imagine anyone else sending something so batshit crazy, do the right thing Norge *.*

'Who We Are' (written by 2015 entrant Mørland) could do quite well being the only ballad on offer, like 'Blackbird' in Finland last year. It's not terrible so they'd certainly not embarrass themselves with it, unlike Rybak's San Marino reject.

Omg I've just listened to Scandilove - ADORE it! It's the kind of fun and joy we always can do with a bit of in the contest. I need to check out the other songs later.

I'd be content with Rebecca but my favourites are Light Me Up, Scandilove and Talk To The Hand (which I think is SO much better than Grab The Moment)

Scandilove would be such a great entry. So instant and catchy and does tongue-in-cheek properly, unlike Rybak...it would stand out in a positive way, even though the public would inevitably go for it more than the juries would.

It reminds me of You Can Call Me Al crossed with something you might hear on a 90s teen movie soundtrack laugh.gif

The national final is very strong on the whole, such a major step up from last year's drab MGP line-up (though I did love eventual winner Grab The Moment - pretty much the only good song in the bunch).

You Got Me, Talk To The Hand and Who We Are are my other favourites from this lot, would be happy with any of them but I do feel it would be a shame to leave Scandilove in the national final.
