Last day to vote! (in all rounds) Also because it's taken so long to get to this stage I think I'm gonna be skipping semi-finals and just qualify the top 10 from each year, unless there is significant demand to make this go even longer lol. Why do you need to hurry up? |

I'm happy either way I just thought you all may want it to end soon seeing as this has been ongoing for nearly 3 months now when the original plan was 2 months for the yearly rounds!
I've done a quick poll. |

I think going straight to the final (not to discourage you from doing semis) and I'll participate regardless!!!

Semi Finals seem like a good idea, I mean we still have plenty of time in lockdown to do them right? Unless of course Dan you have another dance forum project you are wanting to move onto soon.

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2010
So it seems there's a clear demand for semi-finals which is good to see! Anyhow, let's start with the round that some of you have been waiting for nearly 3 months for the results for, let's take a look first at the top five from the year that have autoqualfiied to the grand finale. AUTOQUALIFIED: David Guetta feat. Rihanna Who's That Chick We start off with a track from one of the leading dance producers of the decade - David has many chances to qualify and the first of those is with this track which marked his first collaboration with Rihanna. Rihanna could also potentially qualify with 'This Is What You Came For' later on - and it's not much of a spoiler to say 'Right Now' hasn't autoqualified but perhaps it could make the semis? AUTOQUALIFIED: Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina Stereo Love A massive hit across Europe, impacting some countries in late 2009 but taking a bit longer to crack the UK - it gave them their only hit but they manage to autoqualify with it. AUTOQUALIFIED: Kelly Rowland feat. David Guetta Commander David Guetta really owned 2010 so it's fair enough that he manages a second AQ, this time alongside Kelly Rowland on what was their follow-up to the 2009 hit 'When Love Takes Over'. AUTOQUALIFIED: Swedish House Mafia feat. Pharrell One (Your Name) The introduction of the Swedish House Mafia project saw them get a huge club smash, which became a big top 10 hit once Pharrell's vocal was added. It manages to beat the follow-up 'Miami 2 Ibiza' into the final. AUTOQUALIFIED: Tim Berg Seek Bromance And finally Tim Berg better known as Avicii also manages an AQ, the first of which could potentially be quite a few! This was the track that introduced him to the world albeit released under his own name, and clearly it's still one of his most well regarded now. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! That's a great looking list I must say although 'Commander' is a clear weak link there and shouldn't really have been an AQ imo! |

Great to see 'Stereo Love' straight through 'Who's That Chick?' is a strong Guetta pick too (hopefully 'Memories' will be in the next 15).
Surprised 'Commander' is still so popular to be top 5 of its year, and I didn't know 'One (Your Name)' was that popular either. I'd predict 'Stereo Love' won because I'd have sooner predicted 'Acapella' and 'Happiness' over 'Commander' I think, so I'd guess they were somewhere in the vicinity. |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2011
AUTOQUALIFIED: Alexandra Stan Mr Saxobeat Alexandra Stan only had one top 40 hit but it was this massive track which still holds up today and gets itself direct to the final. AUTOQUALIFIED: Avicii Levels Becoming Avicii's first huge hit, it also gives him a second AQ! Needless to say it's my fave track here so great to see it through. AUTOQUALIFIED: David Guetta feat. Sia Titanium This was David Guetta's biggest hit ever and all these years later it's STILL in the Top 40 dance singles (spending its 344th week at #27!) - no surprise that this AQs. AUTOQUALIFIED: LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock Party Rock Anthem Another huge dance track of the era, giving LMFAO a UK and US #1 hit! This seemingly had a mixed reception at the time but is clearly loved enough now to AQ. AUTOQUALIFIED: Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris We Found Love Another complete non-shock here as one of the best-regarded singles for both Rihanna and Calvin, and former winner of Ultimate Dance (the regular all-time version!) is the final AQ from the year. This was also a huge #1 in the UK and the US. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! I really love all five of those, well done guys! |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2012
AUTOQUALIFIED: Disclosure feat. Sam Smith Latch Disclosure's huge breakthrough hit 'Latch' gives them their first AQ, 'White Noise' could potentially be joining it in 2013. Sam Smith also has the opportunity for a second AQ with 'Promises'. AUTOQUALIFIED: Florence + The Machine Spectrum (Say My Name) (Calvin Harris Remix) Calvin gave Florence a huge hit with his remix of this and it also manages to give him a 2nd AQ. 'Sweet Nothing' has to miss out but it could potentially make the semis. AUTOQUALIFIED: Otto Knows Million Voices Otto Knows only had one chance in this but thankfully his hit was this and not one of the poor singles he's been putting out more recently. It becomes the first non-lyrical song to AQ and perhaps the only too. AUTOQUALIFIED: Rudimental feat. John Newman Feel The Love Rudimental got a huge breakthrough hit with this which is still their best-regarded song here although they still have the chance to make the semis with another of theirs. AUTOQUALIFIED: Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin Don't You Worry Child Their huge farewell single which become one the defining songs of EDM in the decade unsurprisingly gives them a second AQ joining 'One'. Their other hits could however make the semis. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! Another five great picks, this final is already looking too amazing to rank! |

Mostly no surprises in 2011 (imagine 'We Found Love' or 'Titanium' not qualifying in something), except for 'Party Rock Anthem'! I too would've thought it had mixed opinions, and wouldn't be as big now. I also don't really think of it as a dance song but I'm not sure why.
'Mr. Saxobeat' is my favourite of the 5 and one of the comparatively less predictable ones, so good to see it! I will assume 'We Found Love', 'Titanium' and 'Levels' were the top 3 in that order, and will guess they all got twice as many points as 'Party Rock Anthem'. Could see 'Bounce' and 'Feel So Close' being close (and maybe that would be - or would've been - useful market research for AF Idol ) Great to see 'Feel The Love' through *.* Going to guess 'Latch' won that one but I could see it being any of them... except 'Million Voices'. I am kind of surprised not to see 'Language' as that's done some big things in ROTD if I recall correctly! Hopefully it's close. |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2013
AUTOQUALIFIED: Avicii Wake Me Up As one of the decade's absolute biggest hits, it comes as no surprise that it becomes another AQ for Avicii. AUTOQUALIFIED: Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams Get Lucky Daft Punk got them their biggest hit with this comeback single and it becomes their sole qualifier (as their The Weeknd collabs are more RnB than dance). AUTOQUALIFIED: Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E Need U (100%) This gave Duke Dumont his breakthrough hit and is the third UK #1 to AQ from this year. AUTOQUALIFIED: Klangkarussell feat. Will Heard Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine) The sole hit for Klangkarussell, it is a bit of a surprise AQ but it is a great track. AUTOQUALIFIED: Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais Summertime Sadness Cedric Gervais gave Lana a dance makeover and it resulted in a huge smash and one very much liked by Buzzjack too although Lana's actual fans seem to prefer her non-dance efforts. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2014
AUTOQUALIFIED: Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne Rather Be Giving Clean Bandit & Jess their big breakthrough hit it quickly became one of the decade's best sellers. It's actually all breakthrough hits in this section although none of the rest went on to have as many hits. AUTOQUALIFIED: Kiesza Hideaway Kiesza's big #1 now, unsurprisingly here especially now that she's having somewhat of a comeback in Buzzjack popularity with her new pop singles. AUTOQUALIFIED: Lilly Wood & The Prick Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix) One hit wonder time from here on and it's the first of two AQs helped out by Robin Schulz on the remix. AUTOQUALIFIED: Mr Probz Waves (Robin Schulz Remix) Mr Probz also joins Lilly Wood in the final! As my absolute fave from this year that is great to see. AUTOQUALIFIED: Zhu Faded And finally the most surprising AQ of the year coming from Zhu with his take on deep house. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! |

'Sonnentanz' being an AQ! I'm going to guess 'Get Lucky' won that one but I could easily see it being 'Summertime Sadness' too. I feel like 'I Could Be The One' used to be more popular on here than 'Wake Me Up' but I may be misremembering.
ooh yes BOTH Robin Schulz remixes *.* 'Faded' kind of stands out there but I feel like it did really well in ROTD recently? No surprises with 'Rather Be' (guessing that won) and 'Hideaway' of course. |

Tove Lo snubbed in the top 5 with both songs: Stay High and heroes
Yay for semifinals happening. I have a feeling some of my faves have missed out on top 5 but they're probably top 20. So, they still have a chance. I didn't understand if we will have only one semi-final or 10 semi-finals? |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2015
AUTOQUALIFIED: Calvin Harris & Disciples How Deep Is Your Love It's another AQ for Sir Calvin Harris this time alongside Disciples (whose 'They Don't Know' only scored 16 points in this round, but 'On My Mind' could potentially AQ later on). AUTOQUALIFIED: Duke Dumont Ocean Drive And from one Adam to another - this joins 'Need U' in the final but 'I Got U' will have to work harder if it wants to get there. AUTOQUALIFIED: Kygo feat. Conrad Sewell Firestone Kygo started his chart career with this massive hit which until very recently was his biggest and best-regarded. 'Higher Love' could of course potentially be joining it later on. AUTOQUALIFIED: Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ Lean On Major Lazer now with a song that amazingly has 2.8bn YT views but it's one of the few songs actually worthy of having that ridiculous view count. AUTOQUALIFIED: MNEK & Zara Larsson Never Forget You And now MNEK with a song that is arguably more pop than dance but I believe it was discussed in the dance forum so there you go. Can't argue based on the song quality really (although there are a few songs in the top 10 I'd have AQ over this). What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! |

AUTOQUALIFIERS: 2016
AUTOQUALIFIED: Alan Walker Faded This was the only song from the decade to make the top 10 of Ultimate Dance V last year so in that respect it's the least surprising AQ, but what a great song it is! AUTOQUALIFIED: Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie Rockabye Another Clean Bandit AQ and a song that everyone still seems to love even now with Anne-Marie being Buzzjack's least favourite pop female. AUTOQUALIFIED: Jax Jones feat. Raye You Don't Know Me This track started off Jax Jones' career off proper and also was one of the few tracks of the decade to reach 200 plays for me so you know I'll be giving it many points in the final! AUTOQUALIFIED: Kungs vs. Cookin' On 3 Burners This Girl And now for another song that was in my End of Decade top 10! Although unlike Jax he never managed to sustain his greatness across his follow up singles sadly. AUTOQUALIFIED: The Chainsmokers feat. Daya Don't Let Me Down The Chainsmokers had so many chart entries this decade that I suppose one of them had to make the final directly. Still a good song but easily my least fave of these five. What do you make of these AQs? Which one do you suspect won the heat? Are there any surprise omissions? The semi-final qualifiers will be revealed later! |
