I will definitely have to stream this but if it's an EP surely there aren't many previously unreleased songs on it?

'Rapture' is one of my favourite dance records! I like the sample of it in this, it's not too obvious in the way other dance samples can be (see Ava's new song).

(why is this in R&B Hip Hop when Raye and this record are predominately pop?)
Prior to this I only listened to Love Me Again and Natalie Don't. I was quite whelmed, with a title like "Euphoric Sad Songs" you best deliver but.. she didn't. The two songs I had heard were really impressive, especially Natalie Don't. I also enjoyed the Robin-esque feeling of Please Don't Touch but eh, a lot of it just fell a bit flat. Not that the songs were mad, they just didn't really live up to the title. I was expecting a lot more, but still, Raye is a really incredible artist and I like this direction for her. Also for a heartbreak album, there wasn't a lot of.. relatable heartbreak moments? It needed to be stripped a bit more IMO. |

Regardless is fab, love the use of the sample!! Love Of Your Life has grown on me a lot as well, will have to give the EP a listen.

Loving Regardless, it doesn’t sound like a Rudimental influence at all! I hope it can become a hit.

QUOTE QUOTE(Bré @ Nov 20 2020, 11:24 PM) * She really made a song called 'Regardless' after collaborating with Regard. Lel OK I wasn't sure about the sample at first and still not sure but regardless of that I quite like Regardless now, its still not as good as 'Secrets' though. |

Hoping this can be a New Year hit! It's definitely got the right sound and the public love a not-so-subtle sample right now! It's odd as when Scott was introducing this as his tune of the week earlier this week, he was singing the praises of 'Natalie Don't' and RAYE as an artist! I guess they're a fan of her more dance/rnb moments than any pure pop she's released.

'Natalie Don't' should have become the modern day 'Jolene'.
