I've seen couple of articles saying he's no longer alive?!!!
Recently he had heart surgery that's gone not well according to rumors!!! |

For all his flaws, I hope it's not true. North Korea's foreign policy has become a bit less hostile under his leadership.

Realistically, the reason we won't have heard anything is that whatever has happened, he is not immediately able to make a public appearance and should he be dead, a successor will want to consolidate their leadership first.
Quite possible he's gone into a vegetative state and there's just no precedent for that either. Lot of talk about his sister taking over, which would be... interesting... Even though I rationally know that there should be no danger from this, I'm a little antsy at a possible succession crisis happening just across the bay from where I am. |

I literally saw a Twitter post that compared Kim Jong-un's sister to Azula from Avatar and it made me laugh and shiver at the same time
I feel like in these trying times we've become conditioned to think of the worst case scenario, as if we're coming across the series finale of humanity's story. |

South Korea has said everything is fine, but it may just be saying that to foster good relations with the North. If it does enter a succession crisis , they don't want to be on its bad side.
