I had the strongest feeling that something like this was coming, especially with all the rumours doing the rounds about contract disputes after she bowed out the tour.

I think we can safely say Simon Fuller is about to be torn a new one - and rightly so!

Intriguing. The blurb makes it sound like this book was finalised before Paul’s death and her leaving the group:

The timing of the release is definitely interesting - just before the tour begins!

Looking forward to this, not expecting her to be especially complimentary of Simon Fuller (and could tie in with the lawyers story as mentioned already), but definitely looking forward to reading about both S Club and Primeval and what her accounts of those days were.

Really looking forward to getting this. The fact it’s going to be an audiobook as well is even better.

This just makes the tour feel even more awkward. With one member sadly passing away and another doing a tell all biography which will no doubt attack Simon, who is behind the tour, it just feels like the tour is doomed.

Doomed to be a disaster. I can imagine a lot of people going to not bother to turn up. Hannah will no doubt be on TV before the tour promoting her book saying how awful Simon is and how awful the loss of Paul is and that she just couldn't be around Simon and do it with what has happened.

It hardly sets anyone going up for this will be an amazing night.

I think looked at objectively, yes the timing of the book coming out is probably not ideal for potential ramifications it may have.

But the way I see it is it was Hannah's decision to bow out of doing the tour, and I completely respect her decisions for not doing it. And I admire her for wanting to write and speak about her truth.

Same as I respect the others for going ahead and for still doing something to mark their legacy and also fittingly remember Paul.

Is it the situation any of us wanted a few months ago when this tour was announced and there was so much anticipation and good will building? No.

But this is how the cards have been dealt now, that's life. People die. People move on from jobs or places or situations that they don't feel comfortable in anymore.

It would be very easy to sit there and dwell on the negative and write a whole tour off before it's even really happened.

I'm still going to the tour, same as I'm going to read Hannah's book. The one who really deserves ire in all of this is Simon Fuller, and he will get what's coming to him. The fans are not stupid, they know the band aren't at the heart of any tension.

Very smart of Hannah to be the first person to wrote a book.

I just hope the book doesn't reveal any current animosity between Hannah and the band members, hopefully there's no issues like that.
