So we all know now that Dark Horse is already taking off in America after they've swiftly moved on from Unconditionally. It's already top 10 on iTunes and gaining rapidly on radio too. How do we think this will do in the UK? I think it'll return her to the top 10, it's got SMASH written all over it.

I reckon this could be a worldwide smash, I've heard it quite a few times on the radio when it was released as a promo single already

I'm not sure how well dark horse will do in the UK. Its a little bit alternative and not as mainstream as her other hits. It will chart but might not make a major impact in the charts.

This will be her 'E.T' of the era I think (in other words, worldwide super-smash hit)

It's hard to say with this one. It definitely should be a smash and something to remind everyone of how great she really can be after 'Unconditionally' (even though that was her at her best ), but there's something inside me telling me it won't quite be as big as everybody's expecting it to be. I sense it'll probably be a definite top 10, but I'm not sure it'll manage #1.

Hopefully this will be a massive hit! Definitely one of my favourite songs by Katy!

I think this will do better than that, but yeah, I don't see it being a #1. But, let's face it, if it can get top 5, it's a return to form after the disaster chart performance that has been Unconditionally |

About time. It would be very lovely if this could reverse her fortunes in the UK, it's by far the best thing on her album and the only one I've really paid attention to since this era started.

Excited for this. It's showing a lot of promise in the US at least so it won't have too much of a problem being big there.
I've grown to really love 'Walking On Air' but this is the next best after that and the obvious choice. |

QUOTE "Well... it looks like Dark Horse is literally becoming a Dark Horse of a song! Sounds like the people have spoken... I must listen..." I reckon this is going to perform just a TINY bit better than 'Unconditionally' now, to be honest. |

It's matched the peak of Unconditionally on the Hot 100 already and it's not even officially 'out' as such! Will definitely be a top 5 hit.

This week it climbed to #11, so it's outpeaked it already.
I fail to see how this is a better song than 'Unconditionally', but oh well. |

I really think this is going to be yet another number 1 for her in the States! The instant success of this is mesmerizing! So deserved if it gets there. It's fantastic!

It's one of the weakest moments on #Prism for me.

Why are you calling it #Prism?!
Fail to see how it could be a weakest moment when you have Ghost and a whole load of other bland dull ballads on the album too. |

The success of this song already in US is just amazing. Could be #1 if they time the video right.

I sense it'll probably be a definite top 10, but I'm not sure it'll manage #1. It's a guaranteed smash in the US, but yeah I'm not sure it'll be HUGE here - kind of like how 'ET' was the biggest song from her last album in the US but did much less well here. The best choice for single #3 nonetheless, I still maintain this and 'Birthday' are the only good single choices left. I still don't see what everyone else sees in 'Walking on Air', and although inspite of myself 'This Is How We Do' has kind of grown on me, I fear it would destroy any shreds of credibility she has if it was released as a single.
