Thanks for responses Jessie & T Boy!

Can completely relate T Boy, Blow Me (One Last Kiss) came at a time I really needed it and I think that’s why I love it so much.

Similarly Bridge of Light came when I needed it the most and I think that’s why it’s my favourite P!nk song.

Rose Ave (You+Me album)

I wasn't initially going to include this in my listen through of P!nk albums, but then decided to as I thought it'd be worth a listen. It's a rather short album coming in at just under 37mins long and it's a departure from the P!nk we know and love. It is far from a horrible album and whilst it's not one I can see myself going back to very often it was well worth the listen to whilst I was doing some work in the garden on Tuesday morning. P!nk and Dallas Green seem to compliant each other and form a good combination.

Capsized and Break the Cycle would be my two favourite songs from the album.

Beautiful Trauma

The gap between The Truth About Love and Beautiful Trauma felt like an eternity. Five longs years and no P!nk solo album, just a few collaborations and one a few standalone singles. So when this was announced I was eagerly anticipating it. I can remember sitting in a boarding long at Honk Kong Airport when lead single What About Us was released and I saw it had rocketed to #1 on iTunes in Australia straight away.

I can remember being a little disappointed when I first listened to this almost 6 years ago, I was P!nk but it wasn't the brash in your face P!nk I'd come to love. As the years have gone on though I've come to really like and appreciate this album. It's a lot more mature in some ways and I think it works really well for her. For Now and Whatever You Want were highlights for me at the time and still remain highlight today. The only song I've slightly cooled on is Revenge, loved it back then, not so much now. A very good album but not quite reaching the heights of her previous efforts.

Singles I liked: What About Us, Beautiful Trauma, Whatever You Want & Secrets
Album Tracks I liked: Where We Go, For Now, Better Life & I Am Here
My singles run: No Change

Loving the reviews so far heart.gif

Rose Ave is one of my favourite albums, I'd love for you+me to release another.

For me, for some reason, the gap between TTAL and BT didn't seem as bad as the gap between try this and IND laugh.gif I remember back in the day fans talking about how long we were waiting for the next album before IND... it was only about 2.5 years laugh.gif

Thanks. heart.gif

It sounds bad but P!nk kind of fell off my radar in 2005, so when Stupid Girls dropped I was ,Ike oh yeah P!nk!

Weren’t there rumours of an album in 2015? I seem to remember a song called Casualty being mentioned.

I returned to Rose Ave quite a bit last year when we speculated there may be another You + Me album. Very different for Pink but I was loving it. I’d be well up for a follow up.

I loved Beautiful Trauma, our first Pink album for 5 years. Revenge was very old school for me which I loved, I know a lot didn’t enjoy that one. It was a bit less in your face than previous efforts but a good album.

Hurts 2B Human

When new broke of a new P!nk album I presume I wasn't the only one thinking 'how amazing is this? Two albums in less than two years! After the wait between The Truth About Love and Beautiful Trauma this was considerably shorter. Whilst I liked Walk Me Home from the begging I always found it a slightly odd choice as lead single. It was the furthest from you typical P!nk lead single we'd seen before. I remember not being blown away by any of the singles after Walk Me Home too, so I was a little tentative with this album, though I loved Courage from the start.

I think for me this album suffers a similar fate to Try This, there's a good album in there it just had the wrong tracks chosen as singles in my view. It's almost like they were trend chasing at the time. As much as I love Courage I'm not sure if it'd work as a single in 2019. I went into this expecting it to place right at the bottom of this rate based on the singles, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover I actually quite enjoyed this.

Singles I liked: Walk Me Home, Lobe Me Anyway
Album Tracks I liked: Hustle, (Hey Why) Miss You Sometime, My Attic, Courage & Happy
My singles run: Hustle, My Attic, Walk Me Home, Can We Pretend & Happy

The Truth About Love has some good highlights even outside the singles but I haven't listened to that in years. Mind you the same could be said for her other two I own laugh.gif I still think Funhouse is hard to beat personally but given I haven't listened to I'm Not Dead as a whole I'd assume that'd be equal with it if not in front!

Hurts 2B Human was an odd release. Definitely an unexpected one but also one that made it clear her label didn’t really know how to sell her to streaming (something they seem to have learned now). Walk Me Home was a very different lead single but it was a hit however the album was randomly released 2 months later. I do love this album, it feels like a collection of songs that didn’t make Beautiful Trauma and yet I still prefer this album.

I guess it does seem that it was made up of a few Beautiful Trauma cast offs. Happy and My Attic seem like they’d fit right on it.

Trustfall

If I'm being honest I went into Trustfall being a little bit cautious, It's been a long time since I'd properly listen to Beautiful Trauma and Hurts 2B Human passed me by at the time so I was preparing myself to not fall in love with this. It felt like an eternity between P!nk albums but thankfully I love some of the songs she dropped in-between, A Million Dreams and All I Know So Far. I listened to this on release day a few weeks ago and it kind of just washed over me with the exception of Hate Me.

In my defence I'd been heavily spamming my 2023 playlist plus the Sugababes in preparation of their Australian concert. So when I went back to it earlier today I was pleasantly surprised, for me this is such a strong album. Never Gonna Not Dance Again and Trustfall took a while to click with me but they finally have clicked fully and they're great. Hate Me is right up there with not only my favourite P!nk album tracks but P1nk songs all together. When I get There is simply beautiful and as someone who lost a parent unexpectedly a while it really hit home. Runaway is a nice up-tempo number and Last Call sounds like a Billboard smash for Lady A. All in all this is a stellar album and one I'll definitely be revisiting a lot this year.

Singles I liked: Never Gonna No Dance Again, Trustfall, When I Get There
Album Tracks I liked: Hate Me, Last Call, Runaway
My singles run: Never Gonna No Dance Again, Trustfall, When I Get There, Hate Me, Last Call & Runaway

So this was a great exercise, I really enjoyed it. I discovered some great albums along on the way and have become an even bigger P!nk fan!

Thanks to everyone that read or commented along the way.
