The Flood is iconic.

Albums of theirs I love are Beautiful World, Progress and Nobody Else. Their vocals and musicianship peaked on that album, regarding first phase. It is also by far globally furthest reaching album. It also blended fun pop with great adult contemporary.

Without that album success, there are places (North/South America) which simply wouldn't have known Take That existed.

I too loved The Circus at the time, though have disinterest in it now and much prefer three albums mentioned above.

Take That & Party, Everything Changes, III and Wonderland are never played by me. Though I love 'Another Crack In My Heart' from Everything Changes and play this still.

I think Odyssey works for someone not familiar with Take That, hearing those versions as first timers with no preconceptions. That is feedback I have got, sending this album to others, namely as all singles are in one place, if not their original versions.

Beautiful World and The Circus were back to back amazing albums.
NoBody Else has its strengths but it is lackluster in areas that make the album flat in places.

Nobody else opened doors especially back for good but the split lost all that momentum. The patience comeback and beautiful world were an amazing comeback. The huge success wasnt expected, ultimate collection, beautiful world, the circus and progress were all so huge it was great seeing them do so well and made them bigger than they ever were.
I hope wonderland can eventually go platinum as its their only album not to achieve it and three with some luck might eventually go double platinum.

The mentioned albums had phenomenal success.
The continued huge sales lasted much longer than I anticipated, with Live albums selling in high numbers during these periods.
The sales of Wonderland were alarmingly worrying although, Odyssey, did reverse the decline in sales close to 150,000 to date.

The drop off in sales after Progress was disappointing even though i knew they could never sustain the sales of the previous albums, i think i was expecting 3 to be a million seller though, so initially, i was disappointed with its sales, but looking back on it now it has sold well and gave then another number 1 single and album.

I agree, the drop off was something huge. I too had always hoped they would at least break over 1 million with all albums.

Though, they had two albums in 90s which didn't sell over a million, though Take That & Party is quite close.

They really have to work for a hit lead off single and with no multiple hits coming off the albums, it's inevitable sales won't match. Robbie though is in exact same position and sales as Take That, so I feel it just happens the longer you are around.

Its whats happening with most long term artists now, a top 75 lead single is a good outcome and a top 40 nearly feels like a number 1, i think them releasing together again will increase the chances of a hit though.

Anything less than Top 40 would be a big disappointment.
