Saw that there wasn't a thread for this.

Is anyone going to be watching this when coverage gets under way on Saturday on BBC without John Virgo or Willie Throne commentating

Selected First Round Matches

Mark Selby v Basem Eltahhan
Gary Wilson v Ken Doherty
Neil Robertson v Rod Lawler
Anthony Hamilton v Lyu Haotian
Alan McManus v Robin Hull
Stephen Maguire v Yuan Sijun
Jack Lisowski v Wang Yuchen
Ali Carter v Jimmy White
Zhou Yuelong v Peter Lines
Mark Allen v Lukas Kleckers
Ronnie O'Sullivan v Jackson Page

So far Ding has been knocked out to World No 127 Leo Fernandez in the first round.

Who do you think will win the tournament?

Why won't they be commentating?

Jimmy 6-2 over Ali - his best result for years? cheer.gif

Hopefully it'll be Ronnie or Judd who'll win the title.

Willie Throne said apparently last month that he had been axed from BBC's commentary team. As for John Virgo he has had he'll be back for the Masters.

Selby out already to Scott Donaldson 6-3, whom had lost 10 first round matches.

Trump back to form, defeating a 'numpty' 6-0. teresa.gif

I quite like the new BBC graphics. smile.gif

Mark Williams getting through the draw quite easily so far. His great form continues.

A lack of Willie Thorne and John Virgo counts as a bonus.

An superb break of 138 by Ryan Day, that was in the decider against Li Hang. Some of the earlier blacks in that frame were just absolute coolness under pressure. Coming through two 6-5s on the trot probably does wonders for the confidence knowing you can turn it on when it really matters.

A great win for Mark King against John Higgins in an decider as well.

Close one for Ronnie last night!

Fantastic clearance by Shaun, especially that blue swinging the cue ball round the table. Sets it up nicely for tonight with it at 4-4.

Looks like Ronnie found another gear again, though.

Yes, just went another gear. Shaun must be reeling from the bad luck he had in frames 2,3,5 where he either missed or went in off.
