Sigala and Justin Bieber are going head to head for that #1 spot in the singles chart next week, it could go either way. New single releases this week from Stormzy 'WickedSkengMan 4' aiming for a high new entry within the top 10. With a feast of new singles from Nero 'Two Minds', Ella Eyre 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot', notably its a Rugby anthem hoping to capitalise on the Rugby Nations Cup 2015 competition which starts on the 18 September (Friday). With a string of other new entries from MNEK feat. Zena Larsson 'Never Forget You', Taylor Swift 'Wildest Dreams', Drake 'Hotline Bling', RHODES & Birdy 'Let It All Go'. The biggest surprise of the week comes from Crowded House 'Help Is Coming', and Kylie Minogue collaborating with Shaggy on 'Black And White' dropping new singles, honestly I didn't see this coming, hopefully they stick around inside the top 40 for the reminder of the week, fingers cross. Again... after a week at #1 for Iron Maiden, Bring Me The Horizon are looking to dispose them with their new studio album That's The Spirit' but they face competition from Stereophonics 'Keep The Village Alive', The Libertines 'Anthems For The Doomed Youth' and now we welcome a return for the 80s New Romantic band Duran Duran with their new studio album release 'Paper Gods', all vying for a place inside the top 10. Also new album releases from Leona Lewis 'I Am', Nero 'Between II Worlds', Slayer 'Repentless', Richard Hawley 'Hollow Meadows' and The Kwabs 'Love + War' hoping for a place inside the top 40. ======================================================== Structure for the week: Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. Thursday: See Tuesday. To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic. |

Twitter: Mint Royale
QUOTE Mint Royale @MintRoyale 43m43 minutes ago mind you most of those albums will fall by Monday, its only the first update. I can see at least 4 new entries inside the top 10 by the end of the week, as mentioned in the opening post, with Leona and Nero just outside. This leadership thing is all very interesting but what about this: there are 15 new entries in the album top 20 this week! QUOTE Mint Royale @MintRoyale 41m41 minutes ago
An extraordinary day, both Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran fall |

I asked how many are likely to stay top 20 and where Leona was and he replied "8". Not sure which question that was in response to.

It is definetely about leona, I hoped she was 7 considering six artists were definetely abover her: IRON,JESS,BRING ME, STEREO,DURAN,THE LIBERTINES ..I have no idea who could be the seventh This post has been edited by pes: 12th September 2015, 12:11 PM |

Minty says BMTH are ahead of the Phonics but not by much. They'll be more front loaded, so Phonics might nab it.

Well, obviously the other one would be Richard Hawley, considering his last album went Top 3 and he's got a decent fanbase. Unless it's Slayer rather than Duran Duran of course.

Nothing on Mint Royale for today, apart from Troye Sivan's EP dropping 42 places, not sure if he is talking about todays' update or yesterdays', sounds more like the latter.
