01. This Love = Avg.9.919

Highest Scores: 11: (Rob S, Acidburn, Joe, Chapman, Dobbo, Juranamo, J*hq, Hennymoon), 10: (Liam, Regina, Ultraviolence1989, Chez Wombat, Jonjo, Mack, Pippa, Jay, T Boy, Ezra's Whore, American Oxygen, Bartsimpson, Gavindeejay, Kylie Jackson, Kellyann, Riser), 9: (LeeWallace, Fgiboy2511, Atonement)
Lowest Scores: 7.5: (100% Spadam)

So here is Buzzjack's favourite Maroon 5 single, none other than their main signature hit "This Love", a song which made me an instant fan of them. This was the clear winner from the start and not only gaining the most 11's with an impressive 8, but also had way more 10's than any other song with a whopping 16, plus this was the only song with a 9 average, and didn't gain any low scores, in fact it didn't score any lower than a 7.5, which is very impressive. Released in January 2004 as the 2nd single from their debut album "Songs About Jane". After gaining their first hit with their previous single, this was the one that put them on the map and believe it or not this is now 11 years old and all these years later they are still going strong with 5 albums, several smash hits and a greatest hits album on the way. When released the song won instant acclaim and broke them in several countries worldwide. In the USA it was their first top 10 hit by reaching #5, becoming a sleeper hit there, due to the music video wasn't released until 6 months after release. In the UK it fared better by reaching #3 and spending several weeks in the top 10. Elsewhere it became their first international smash by topping the charts in Greece, Hungary and Poland, and top 5 in Canada, Romania, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Swiss and USA. Along with top 10 peaks in France, Ireland, Belgium and Australia.

So then guys there you have it, I would like to thank everybody whose voted in this and a big thank you to all the comments in this thread.

02. She Will Be Loved = Avg.8.887

Highest Scores: 11: (Chez Wombat, LeeWallace, Fgiboy2511), 10: (Acidburn, Rob S, Joe, Jay, Chapman, Bartsimpson, Gavindeejay, Kylie Jackson, Hennymoon, Kellyann), 9.5/9: (Liam, Regina, Jonjo, Mack, 100% Spadam, Ezra's Whore, Riser)
Lowest Scores: 2: (Nick F1), 6: (Ultraviolence1989)

Right then Buzzjack we have come to an end of these results with the top 2 positions in this one post. Both of which are their most iconic and memorable hits and both feature on their debut album. At the runner up spot we have "She Will Be Loved", which will always remain one of my all time faves from them and am honestly glad that it has managed to finish so high with lots of high scores. Released in July 2004 as the 3rd single from their debut album "Songs About Jane", and remembered at the time after buying the album when "TL" was released, thinking that this was definitely gonna be the next single and it would smash, and of course I was right. This continued their breakthrough rain at the time and was funnily enough their first ballad release. In the USA it reached #5, matching the peak of their previous single and selling over 3 million units there. In the UK it became another hit for them by reaching #4, and helped the album sell bucketloads there. The music video gained instant attention due to it's story of Adam Levine falling in love with his girlfriend's mother, played by actress Kelly Preston whose married to John Travolta. Elsewhere the song was also a smash hit by topping the Australian chart, and hitting top 5 in Poland, Scotland, Ireland and Italy, top 10 in Netherlands and Hungary, also top 20 in New Zealand and Swiss, then finally top 40 peaks in France, Germany, Austria and Belgium.

Yeah, thank you AcidBurn!

Amazing winner and a very worthy runner up too. Over exposure has slightly killed SWBL for me, but it's still a great song nonetheless.

Of course it's ok. I was just stating my opinion. Ok, Mack?

Yes that's fine.

Pleased that 'This Love' won the rate followed by 'She Will Be Loved'.

Thanks for the rate, AcidBurn.

I gave SWBL an 11 as well.

This Love made me buy Songs About Jane and She Will Be Loved was my instant fave. It's sad that although still pretty good, they haven't reached these heights in quality for a few years.

I'm glad 'This Love' won, it is my favourite Maroon 5 single whereas 'She Will Be Loved' falls short of their Top 5 for me!

Off the top of my head. A Marron 5 top 5:

01 | This Love
02 | Makes Me Wonder
03 | Wake Up Call
04 | Harder to Breathe
05 | Won't Go Home Without You

Whilst they still pump out pretty decent tracks, nothing has come close to the first 2 eras to my ears!
