2 first-look pics (sadly not a trailer) yet have been revealed for this year's Christmas special! It's been reported recently that it will return to airing on Christmas Day this year.

"When the Doctor's away, it's up to them to save the day."

Because this hasn't been done a million times before... with much better companions

Gosh the marketing is so amazing for this era. Come watch one of the few dramas over the Christmas period not filmed under Covid-restrictions, you can see three people sitting round a table!!!!! Isn’t that exciting!! Gosh, I wonder what they must be talking about? Why are they sat like that and in that order? Is Graham thinking about what he wants to eat for tea? Why is Yaz head of the table? Why are they looking at Ryan? So many exciting questions!!

At least they’ll have a first chance of doing something on their own, 22 episodes in x

(The Doctor escapes by herself 10 minutes in and saves the day before Yaz/Ryan/Graham have left the house)

Honestly starting to think this is going to be a major disappointment. I'm hoping all the Dalek drama somehow makes it all worthwhile, but I really can't be bothered with all the Yaz/Graham/Ryan stuff (and going by the synopsis it sounds incredibly dull).

Unrelated to this episode but a DW fan channel just did this for Halloween and it's better than most of the actual last season cheeseblock.png

I can't really remember much of the last series other than the Jo Martin episode :')

The last series was about 50% good, all the good episodes featuring in the larger arc.

The absolute low point was when the Doctor went full on preach about the environment.

While I am really excited about the prospect of Doctor Who on Christmas Day, I am kinda annoyed that it's another episode about the Daleks 🤔😏

It’s about time! One of the worst kept secrets....

Hopefully it’ll give more reason to his appearance in Fugitive of the Judoon because, aside from the absolute thrill of the surprise, it’s the weakest part of the episode for me cos there’s no reason for him to be there!

I don't love Jack but I am so glad to see him confirmed! At last some personality in Jodie's era.

Chibnall has revealed some big news about the special which I’ll spoiler but will likely be all over usual sites: confirmed exit for Graham and Ryan!!!! tbh I would be happy but, considering they’re filming the new series now there’s no news on a new companion alongside Yaz. As much as the crowded TARDIS has had a bad effect on all companions, you need someone new to spice it up - but just one!!

Also a return for the Trump like guy from Arachnids in the UK... random!! laugh.gif

It’ll be 70 minutes long as well, lots to pack in it seems!

Fabulous news re. the spoilered part cheer.gif seeing as we've not heard anything about a new companion joining, I get the feeling we might either have Jack sporadically in a couple / a few episodes, or there might be more of Ruth / another Doctor that makes up the dynamic somehow in series 13?

That second part though frankie.png where is the need?

Alternatively, I wonder if a new character is in the special who will join as a companion. I would say unlikely seeing as though it’s pretty crowded with characters already but this is the Chibnall era!!
