It could be a seventh week at #1 for The Weeknd's Blinding Lights, or another chart topper for fellow Canadian star Drake with Toosie Slide. Matt Lucas releases his NHS charity single Thank You Baked Potato, plus new tracks come from DaBaby, Troye Sivan, The 1975 and Frank Ocean
will Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia take the #1 album spot after a narrow miss last week? All Time Low release their latest album Wake Up, Sunshine!, with new releases from Headie One/Fred Again, Thundercat, Mystery Jets, Yves Tumor and Purity Ring

hope dua will be no.1
Twitter reported at 11:15 that apparently:
1. "Future Nostalgia" (+1) - 3.7k (+2.8k)
14. "CALM" (-13) - 0.8k (+0.5k)
- The above data includes sales + streams for Friday and only pure sales for Saturday. Pre-orders for new releases are also yet to be reported.
Dua getting that no1 then
That was pretty much expected for 5 Secs of Summer
Not long to First Look!
Actually gonna be around for first look for once!
20 Lady Gaga - Stupid Love
Stupid Love woo a bop
Hopefully it manages to enter top 20 coming Friday
19 Aitch & AJ Tracey feat. Tay Keith - Rain
rain is a low-key bop
18 Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine
17 Harry Styles - Falling
16 Bill Withers - Lean On Me
this needs to leave top 20!!!
why they're not playing Bill songs
EDIT:
Nevermind
ain't no sunshine is my fave Bill song <3 and falling reaching a new peak *.*
wasn't expecting the Bill Withers songs to get that high! love Lean On Me and Ain't No Sunshine, rest in peace
was expecting similar positions to what Kenny Rogers had, surprised he has two top 20. would be nice if he could have at least one remain top 40 for Friday.
Hope at least 1 Bill Withers song is here come Friday.
My fave is Lovely Day
this sounds great
15 Lil Mosey - Blueberry Faygo
I should think Lovely Day will be a bit higher, which is my favourite track of the 3. RIP
this is growing on me!
14 Harry Styles - Adore You
I think Adore You is now my favourite ever 1D-associated song.
time to mute the radio, must be the most overplayed song ever, even the 1D loons might be tired of this by now
I'm so bored of adore you now
Adore You I believe is #1 in US Pop Airplay.
13 Tones and I - Dance Monkey
I still love Dance Monkey idec, a bop <3
12 Justin Bieber feat. Quavo - Intentions
intentions hopefully it stays out the top 10
Hoping Intentions stay out the top 10 come Friday, such a non-event of a song
11 Powfu feat. beabadoobee - death bed (coffee for your head)
Powfu almost top 10 today.
death bed is really starting to grow on me!
Really hoping this makes the top 10, if not this week then in the coming weeks! My favourite chart hit atm
10 Doja Cat - Say So
Dance Monkey so iconic that even on ACR it is STILL top 15, we have no choice but to stan! *.*
Boyfriend climbing.
this doesn't annoy me as much as it used to but I'm here for it continue to fall x
YAS!!! @ Doja still in the top 10.
Goodbye Break Up Song
9 Dua Lipa - Break My Heart
Break My Heart <3 <3
I thought this was gonna be higher!
I'm loving Dua's album, probably the best pop album I have heard in ages.
8 Mabel - Boyfriend
Boyfriend potentially matching Mad Love’s peak
This is how Bill Withers did previously
(RE) Ain’t No Sunshine – Bill Withers ( 6 weeks )

Boyfriend <3 another bop <3
7 Joel Corry - Lonely
Lonely <3 this top 10 is acc so good atm <3
Lonely is so bad. Dance music at its worst.
6 Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now
DSN still sounds absolutely perfect <3
Don’t Start Now will go down as one of my favourite songs of all time. Such a timeless record by Dua.
5 Matt Lucas - Thank You Baked Potato *_____________ !!!!!!
Ouch at Little Mix
first time I'm hearing this.
4 Dua Lipa - Physical
LOL at Matt Lucas in the top five . Ready for it to fall down the charts like a hot potato.
Shocked but pleased Baked Potato is top 5.
I hope Drake is not top 2. :angel
Break Up Song deserves better
3 Drake - Toosie Slide
No Drake yet
oh well...
physical remains the best song in the chart
I hope Little Mix aren't becoming a fanbase act. They need to have more long-lasting hits.
Break My Heart needs to rise up. Such a bloody amazing song!
God awful drake song. Blame Tik Tok for the crap
this is diabolical on first listen
Please let Roses go back to no. 1!
I am glad Drake is “flopping” with this uninspired, desperate song. He can do so much better.
2 SAINt JHN - Roses
1 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights
wow surprised at the potato song being #5!!! nice!!
bit of a flop for Drake, does it qualify as a song? it's just someone reading some instructions for a silly dance for kids age 12
So pleased Roses is still top 2.
I told y'all this Drake song wouldn't go #1..
I do quite like it but it's not up there with his best so I'm glad it's not just going to #1 because of his name anyway.
i'd have expected Drake to debut at #1, with a song so blatantly engineered to be a huge hit. it's lazy and awful, suffice to say x
DEFY THE ODDS AGAIN ABEL *.*
I am so proud of Blinding Lights’ staying power at #1. The GP rewarding QUALITY music nowadays.
I'm loving the 3 consecutive #1s so far... 2020 seems to have improved on last year so far.
horrible sales in the album charts this week, hopefully Dua can make it, even if its with 10k sales only...
Wonder if Matt Lucas will get any media traction this week. Did they play it on the show tonight?
No Buzzjack meltdown this week - Dua can get her #1.
Album sales are going to be dire this week (and for the foreseeable future )
People calling a Drake a flop haha, grow up
Surprised Little Mix's sales weren't enough to keep them top 20 on the first look chart, bot looking great for the longevity of the song
Hope Roses can keep the #2 spot and hod Drake off
Not great for little mix but hooefully they can up during the week. Matt Lucas will fall but has he a chance of staying top 40 I wonder.
Not that bothered about ML being top 5 just increases his chance of being top 40 by week end plus it's not even long enough to annoy me,
wonder if Jake quickeden did enough to be top 40 tommorow, again wont mean anything because he will be nowhere near come Friday,
Little mix falling faster than I would like shame it feels bigger and stronger than bounce back
You gotta admire Jake Quickenden's hustle on social media, he is knocking on every door to try and help get the song as much exposure as possible.
The song is trash but his efforts deserve a top 75 place come Friday.
any updates on Dua Lipa’s sales?
I'm not going to hold my breath for Dua being #1 this week.
Dua will easily manage it.
Only a surprise drop album release from someone A List or a massive icon dying will stop her.
who knows maybe we'll see the same situation as last week, All Time Low's label can report 40,000 made-up cassette sales from their own website
and the OCC will lap it up...
the OCC needs to start asking for receipts
All Time Low’s preorders will only come from iTunes as they haven’t released physically yet.
Hope this can make Top 20.
25 +1100 Vera Lynn - We'll Meet Again
on iTunes.
Thanks to Her Majesty.

Where's Little Mix? #22/23?
I wonder what's caused the Oasis and Michael Jackson resurgence? Is it just down to people being stuck at home and listening their older faves?
Not looking so good for Bill Withers then, particularly nice to see Lovely Day in today's top 40 update but looks like there's no chance of it staying there unfortunately.
Looks like Matt Lucas is going to fall quite a bit by Friday too but should still make the top 40.
Yay pleased to see Dua is going to get number 1 this week!
Great to see The Weeknd and Dua having a good lead at #1 on the singles and albums chart respectively.
I'm more optimistic about Dua being #1 this week but after last week I'm not getting all my hopes up until Friday
Surprised Bill Withers isn't top 5 on the albums today with sales being so low
Any idea where Believe It is ? Top 25 ?
Really hope Falling can stay 17 (or higher) I’d love for Fine Line to stay top 5 too😁
I hope Dua Lipa can hold on now to number 1, the top 40 alone has so many older albums now and so many greatest hits due to sales so low and people not out buying new music.
Drake still has it, wow. Dua definitely going to no1.
No da baby and headie one yet both do ok stream
too bad about the Bill Withers tracks :/ huge drop from yesterday
drake seems pretty far from the weekend, thought it would be much closer
I feel like Falling should not be above Break Up Song. Is this due to Amazon or a different streaming site that I’m not checking or is it just because the streaming is always a day behind?
Falling and Break Up Song are doing identical figures on Spotify and iTunes, and been around similar positions on Apple Music
but on Amazon, Falling is doing much better, #20 now, while Break Up Song is #57 now
Drake I think could catch that up by Friday and get the number 1 tbh .
I just hope at least one of Bill’s tracks makes it into the top 40
So happy Dua Lipa is finally getting the number 1 album, I really want break up song to be a hit. Why are Little mix struggling so much, Do we think they are unlikely to get a big hit again?
Really disappointed Niall Horans album is falling so fast.
Ava #54!!!
I knew the Headie One/Fred Again album was going to under-perform after seeing it get trashed all over Twitter but I wasn't expecting it to do that bad
I hope DaBaby can somehow climb into the top 40 or we might be stuck with only 1 new entry depending on how well Matt Lucas can hold up.
I'm just happy that it looks safe for Bill to get his 3 songs all into the top 100, was never expecting any of them to make the top 40 ('Ain't No Sunshine' looks like it still has a chance of that anyway).
Yay for Dua coming to, barring something unexpected, safely rise to the #1 album this week as expected.
Thought Jake Quickenden might have actually got in top 100. Don't mind the song and for a good cause
The songs haven't been up to much for a long time now and, even though the current song is good it's just come out at the wrong time. Then again maybe they have their tried and tested-type remix featuring a rent-a-rapper ready to release in a few weeks.
Sam Hunt not even top 100 Booo
Jonas Brothers climbing the top 30 again, wish it would just break the top 20 already!
Looks like Becky Hill succumbed to ACR given that fall.
What else did- I thought both Harry tracks would be vulnerable this week?
1 FUTURE NOSTALGIA (8.0k)
2 DIVINELY UNINSPIRED TO A HELLISH EXTENT (4.4k)
14 CALM (1.5k)
15 DUA LIPA (1.5k)
I guess DL will be above their album this week. I wonder who won... Lol.
I had small hopes that the Empress Of album could make top40 since sales are quite dire, but not even like that
To be fair Little Mix have ridden the wave for a lot longer than I thought they would - the average successful phase for a pop band is about 5 years. It will be interesting to see where they go from here - do they keep churning out minor hits and moderately successful albums or do they call it a day and embark on solo careers?
Yes Dua, looks like the gap from #2 went from 2.9k to 3.6k
and DL1 entering top 15
Is ANYONE going to be shocked at Dua selling more long term though
yeah 5sos vs dua is so last week lol.
We've been knew Dua is going to be a constant seller, hence her first album still charting 3 years!!!
since I am not a Little Mix follower, when they split up which one of them will be the first to pursue a solo career?
Or which one is actually the most popular?!!
Where is Kings & Queens today?

Believe It ? Is it around #18 ?
There is an interesting 5SoS article in https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/how-5-seconds-of-summer-beat-dua-lipa-to-no-1/079398
those album sales are tragic.
SAM FISCHER
Dababy
Headie one
Are still all top 50
Tbf they are one of the only major girl groups of recent history Aside from Fifth Fourth Noneth Harmony
'Fine Line' deserves better peak than #3. It is #4 on 17th week, never left top 10. Who would thought Harry will be stable like this. Its peak is a joke.
Even a new peak of #2 for Fine Line would be amazing if it gets the chance, #3 just feels so unfortunate!
I think there's definitely a good chance Harry will eventually get to #1 or #2 considering how consistent it's been since release. His longevity has been extremely impressive this era.
Any updates for Pearl Jam’s album?thanks
Mabel's High Expectations album showing great staying power in the top 20. It would be great if it could sneak into the top 15 this week.
I still find it so odd that people are so quick to brand Little Mix’s recent chart performance as a flop?
even based on its second week chart performance, it far exceeds the peak of the recent singles of acts people will happily brand successful like Anne Marie, Rita Ora or Ellie Goulding?
A top 10 debut, especially for a pop act in their 9th year, is nothing to turn your nose up at - how many other girl groups were still creating Top 10 singles that far into their career?
I think Little Mix could get another big hit if they release another catchy song like Touch (their best single/song to date). Break Up Song is a step in the right direction but the hook could have been stronger. I have no doubt their new album will do well though.
how on Earth Ed Sheeran is at #12 with his PREVIOUS album? I can't believe people in UK still stream this.
So happy to see Powfu top 10 and BENEE top 20.
Wow this kinda talk about Break Up Song is a bit premature, no? It's doing similarly to Bounce Back with MUCH less instant support from streaming, radio playlisting. It was straight to A on R1 the week of release as well as some Capital support etc.. - so far BUS has huge Capital support but is currently only on C-list of R1 the week after release (C-list never has much effect), various TV performances. All it needs is that extra push on Spotify (which it's slowly getting/increasing on) considering a performance is more or less not an option atm.
The song seems to have been received really well in general and it will be a rare case for a pre-album Little Mix release, where they have to build on everything as opposed to getting it instantly. It's trajectory is quite similar to Gaga's latest release atm - just minus the video (which has been scrapped due to current situation - although they're working on something). A great/solid debut with a 10 place (about 11 or 12 for LM?) 2nd week drop but stabilising as airplay and streaming build. It's holding strong on iTunes (yeah iTunes is meaningless nowadays, I know) but it's showing that the audience is receptive to it, at least. It's holding up incredibly well in the 13-15 region on Apple Music (with occasional slips to about 18 - but recovering relatively quickly) due to the support there, but they just need to replicate that support on Spotify (which I assume is still the biggest streaming platform?) and they started that yesterday by being moved up from 24 to 18 yesterday on Hot Hits.
I can see this sticking around longer than BB did at least. They'll need to follow this up with something just as strong/stronger and they'll be back to where they were just 4 singles ago.
All just my two cents ofc
The hyperbole in this thread over Little Mix is quite tiring to read. They're still way outperforming their peers and while they may potentially be past their peak, they're far from flopping. They're also still selling incredible ticket numbers. Please give it a rest so we can get back to the topic of the thread.
There's no hyperbole, it's just a discussion.
If playlist songs did not count for the album charts, Mabels album would close to 0 sales
any info on Dua Lipa’s current midweek sales?

Note that Apple Music is missing when it hasn't been all week so far, hence Drake slipping a little.
I was going to cheer that Drake fall until you explained that some sales are missing
Dua's holding up very well...I predicted 15k for second week and seems like she'll be very close!!!
Wow, Queen at #6! They won't be able to make Top 5 but it would be the first time since 1982 if the album managed it. It will be the first time its been Top 10 since 1992.
Sales are low but the album chart is actually interesting seeing so many old albums appear highly.
Also just seen Spain has suspended their chart saying it’s irrelevant.
I really hope the UK doesn’t do this! The chart is one of my only things I look forward too and it provides such an escape from what’s going on outside.
Spain's album chart only includes pure sales it seems, so that'll be why. Ours at least has streaming keeping it afloat!
Have Little Mix been pushed down to 23 by that potato song?
Bill Withers Great hits disappeared to
Where's Kings & Queens today?
Could ÷ actually overtake No. 6 collab by Friday
Sales arnt close then
Matt Lucas dropped 12 spots in one day. Given his lack of streams is he 100% guaranteed to stay top 40 on Friday?
Looks like Blinding Lights, Roses, Physical & Don't Start Now are all increasing in sales this week then.
Great to see Dua 4.5k ahead of #2 in the albums. Looking good for her unless another act has cassettes yet to be added.
Report from MW -
The Bill Withers albums are all over the place. The Ultimate Collection has gone from the top ten to nowhere in the top 100 while a live album has soared into the top forty.
After the initial progress earlier in the week, I'm guessing Mabel's Boyfriend is back down to #10 currently?
Cool from Dua could be the tune of the summer imo
9 Ed Sheeran - No.6 Collaborations Project
10 Ed Sheeran - ÷
Do British really like to listen to Ed that much while being locked in their houses?
It's quite funny how the consensus was that All Time Low were a #1 contender in the albums and could have blocked Dua, but they're actually gonna miss the top 20.
Just here to LOL @ 5SOS
I said what I said
Yeah 1-12 really isn't a particularly comical drop nowadays
All Time Low are actually a fair bit higher than I'd have predicted considering their lack of physicals tbh.
It wouldn't surprise me actually if they get a new peak once the physicals release.
For sure, I think they'll still manage a top 10 minimum when the physicals come out, similar to Thom Yorke.
In fairness, I didn't know about their physicals being cancelled.
HMV have started a huge Easter flash sale today - some of the lowest prices I’ve seen from them on vinyl (Loads £10 or less - they’ve got Dua’s new album on vinyl for £13.99 too). Should give the physical market a helping hand https://store.hmv.com/store/hmv-offers/vinyl-offers?sort=sale_price%20asc&quantity=24&page=1&view=grid
Just read that Spain has stopped the album Charts for the time being cos of the corona situation :/
In a statement issued to Billboard, Promusicae said that sales of physical music “by mail or messenger could almost serve as testimony to the fact that records are not essential items”. They added that physical sales are “almost irrelevant” at present.
TBH I think 5SOS have held up really well - their official online store has been out of stock of all formats since Friday last week so this week it’s only streaming/downloads and any physicals from online stores like HMV etc.,
Niall dropped from 1-12 a few weeks ago, most pop acts with a passionate fan base and encouragement of multi buying drop heavily in the subsequent weeks.

Becky hill on the verge of a new peak in the album chart, I hope it can get top 20 eventually. Hopefully dua has done enough to be number 1 tomorrow.
nice to see This City in the top 40, great little tune
So good to see ‘Falling’ on the move after being stuck at #20 for the last 3 weeks. Such a great era for him - 4 Top 20 singles and the album about to spend its 17th week Top 10
Drake would never catch up BL even next week, it's just keep increasing and increasing. Bad luck for him.
and Kings & Queens?
Believe It ? #19 or #17 ?
And the Bill Withers compilation is back
Dua still slaying and Ava getting closer to the top 40
And if it wasn't for Dua Lipa, sales would be under 10k for Lewis Capaldi for a #1 album, mind you 12k+ for a #1 album is hardly big.
Have a feeling The Weeknd has a 10 week number one on his hands here, would only be the 2nd time since Shape Of You
Hopefully Dua will get above 15k+
To be honest, I really thought 5SOS would dive to #27 or lower in week 2 so that's better than I expected for them.
I hope 'Tequila' can squeeze into the top 30.
Wow the sales for Blinding Lights already this week Should be its highest weekly total, no?
Just realised Scott Mills is going to play Nathan Dawe again with that dreadful cover version of Flowers not cool
I keep seeing everyone I know posting TikTok clips of them dancing to 'Blinding Lights', that surely must be helping it in some way?
Right place, right time for Abel. The streaming market is gonna be static/negligible week on week from now. If BL can fortuitously keep managing to get the odd increase every 2/3 weeks it's not inconceivable it'll reign at the top for many more weeks and months to come. Unlikely, granted but not unmanageable.
I hope Thundercat can hold in to the top20, though it would be nice to see Becky Hill finally get a top20 peak with her album.
Becky Hill and Jax Jones album's are basically single's compilations, that's why there are doing well at this time... but we still stan.
The Weeknd’s streams increasing massively for no reason
I lowkey love that how new songs are attached to Becky Hill's and Jax Jones' albums... they will continue to chart forever.
do we know where Little Mix are at?
All songs are doing like 50K daily more than last week on Spotify not sure why
not just Blinding Light, everybody else too
But not sure Blinding Lights climbing is a Tik Tok effect, don't think so
cos as said above all songs are doing much more than last week on Spotify, not just Blinding Lights,
even songs that have been around long like Dance Monkey or Lonely
moreover, Tik Tok effects are usually global and in the US Spotify Blinding Lights has been doing worst than the previous week
any final update for Pearl Jam’s album ?thanks
Dababy still falling and headie one
So many albums these days only selling on debut week.
I think for indie artists it almost makes no sense to release the album without a physical cos it's not a fair fight
Mabel and Jax Jones will get 3000 sales a week from playlists alone without a single person streaming their album
Indie artists have zero songs on playlists so they really cannot compete when you need to stream an album 85 times to get 1 sale
Indie artists that were doing a 3-56 run, now will do a 39-OUT run :/
Well it depends if they care about chart positions or not - ATL were saying to the OCC that they just wanted the album out for the fans.
Their overall sales will likely be about the same once the physicals are out anyway.
yes but one thing is what the band says and a different thing is what the label thinks
With the extra efforts pulled last week (voice notes and cocktails) and the Weekend having 90 items of merch available, record companies still care about album chart positions, only for week 1.
