I have to agree with this actually, it's all alright when I'm on my abnormally long Q streak but when I end up being last in the semis each month there won't really be that much point putting any effort into my vote presentation (which is something I like doing) Tbh I think anyone who particularly cares for vote presentation will probably still read the jury vote PMs when they're posted at the end (I say hopefully as I did this last month anyway + I hope that anyone who usually bothers to read my usual TL;DR votes will still do this month ). I think probably most people don't really pay too much attention to anything other than the points anyway. I enjoyed the jury reveal a lot last time, not sure if it'll feel more or less exciting for me this time when I don't actually have an entry in it, will soon find out I guess! Looking forward to these results anyway, hoping as usual that something I voted for will win. A little worried we might be on course for the worst winner for quite a while tho oop Revealing the semi results on the go is an interesting idea, especially as semi and final results have not exactly always been closely correlated of late! |

I will admit that I’m excited that we’re getting semi positions immediately this time

Just hoping the semi reveals don't give away too much too early. This is my real worry too, if it'll create a sense of inevitability about the results before they've even really started or if someone sees that they came 17th in the semi and will give up on the results after like 3 votes. I've been thinking of it for a wee while so I'm keen to try it out to see how it goes and do something a little different. If it doesn't work out then eh, oh well. It didn't work out. No major loss, I got to do something a bit unique for < CII > for fun! |

I'm excited to see semi reveals and there's no harm in trying something new (and like I already know I'm coming bottom 5 anyway so_

Yeah we only try it! At the end of the day it's just an online contest so not getting your 5 seconds of spotlight or perhaps feeling a bit deflated after vote 3 isn't the end of the world and afterwards if it doesn't work we can change it. So many things we're used to know had to be worked out or trialled And I think that's much easier with mods doing it as they know what they're doing and how to smooth things out etc

I’ll catch up on these results tomorrrow morning again I wasn’t as bothered last time since I DNQ but it’s a shame I won’t be able to see how Vera does live without staying up literally all night. Good luck everyone... literally... because I have absolutely no idea who could take home victory this month

For what it's worth, I think the format of the results today sound really good! It will be a lot more interesting to follow even if you're flopping (which I expect I probably will be).

I'm excited for the semi results. I know I'm flopping hard in the final so I'll be intrigued to see if I qualified for two contests running only as a result of others suffering a deduction. #luckyflj

I really enjoy this format and love the suspense it brings, I could see how the DNQ nations could feel devalued in the results for those that enjoy seeing their votes revealed before the winner, maybe a method would be including those that do a presentation idk?
I have no idea how I'll do with this one, above like 27th would be a good result for me. |

Actually as a non-qualifying nation it was far more interesting last month, as I didn't have an entry to follow my only interest was in the winner and the format kept it in suspense till the very end unlike a few contests last year where the winner was pretty much decided by the half way point.

Do you run any courses on Ashtonese. Just learn it on duolingo like the rest of us had to. It's a decent app to be fair, my favourite words in Ashtonise that I found are: English, then Ashtonise Punctual, AweeknextTuesdáy God, MKS Free Choice, Dictatörship Breakfast, Deepfriédmarsbar |

I would have but you used a Ö. Any good student of Ashtonise knows that Ö isn't in the Áskorzajn alphabet.
