An artist in the top 26 twice with different recordings of the same song, the joint-highest official re-entry to the top 75 (until this week), a lot of frustrated artists, and a band who would make the headlines for the wrong reasons later in the year (thanks to an unusual promotion method involving mobile SIM cards):

(3) Proclaimers ft Brian Potter & Andy Pipkin - (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles
(1) Sugababes vs Girls Aloud - Walk This Way
(re) Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend
(2) Gwen Stefani ft Akon - The Sweet Escape
(18) Alex Gaudino ft Crystal Waters - Destination Calabria
(5) Fray - How To Save A Life
(4) Take That - Shine
(6) Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby
(30) Maximo Park - Our Velocity
(19) Fergie ft Ludacris - Glamorous
(7) Mika - Grace Kelly
(8) Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around ... Comes Around
(9) Camille Jones vs Fedde Le Grand
(11) Nelly Furtado - Say It Right
(32) The Twang - Wide Awake
(10) Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80's
(14) P Diddy ft Keyshia Cole - Last Night
(13) Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control
(12) Kelis ft Cee-Lo - Little Star
(16) Take That - Patience
(22) Christina Aguilera - Candyman
(21) Paolo Nutini - New Shoes
(17) Akon ft Snoop Dogg - I Wanna Love You
(15) Cascada - Miracle
(59) Ghosts - Stay The Night
(37) Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)
(26) Killers - Read My Mind
(29) Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
(60) Hilary Duff - With Love
(20) Omarion - Ice Box
(27) Just Jack - Starz In Their Eyes
(23) Good Charlotte - Keep Your Hands Off My Girl
(28) Fall Out Boy - This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race
(35) Pink - Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)
(-) Ciara - Like A Boy
(-) Tiny Dancers - I Will Wait For You
(25) Lily Allen - Alfie
(-) Seamus Haji ft KayJay - Last Night A DJ Saved My Life
(24) Fratellis - Baby Fratelli
(33) Mason vs Princess Superstar - Perfect (Exceeder)

(-) Rumble Strips - Alarm Clock
(-) Brett Anderson - Love Is Dead
(-) Jamelia - No More
(-) Razorlight - I Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got
(-) Lemar - Tick Tock
(-) New Young Pony Club - The Bomb
(48) Cascada - Everytime We Touch
(-) Midas - Don't Dance
(-) Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You)
(-) My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You
(72) Arcade Fire - Keep The Car Running
(re) Chris Cornell - You Know My Name
(75) Mika - Lollipop

#25 was in fact a re-entry to the top 40 - it had charted at #39 on downloads 3 weeks previously.

Hilary Duff was at #29 exactly one year to the week after her previous hit Fly had occupied that position in its 2nd week on the chart (although that was a faller from #20). In fact JK & Joel accidentally played Fly instead of With Love on the chart show!

This chart featured 4 songs that made official re-entries to the top 10 at some point during their chart runs - as well as Avril Lavigne, Snow Patrol (who returned after their exclusion), Cascada (which charted at #57 before being removed from I-Tunes), and Scooch (which was also removed from I-Tunes and would re-enter at #5 a few weeks later) all managed this feat.

Arcade Fire had a somewhat unusual run: 74-72-68-xx-56 (first 3 weeks were on downloads, there was then a vinyl physical released).

Wow at the 5 new entries just outside the top40 (41-45), has that ever happened before or since?
