Outer 30 info show`s COUNT AND SINDEN at 31, BRITNEY at 32 and 39, SCOUTING FOR GIRLS at 33, GNARLS is 34, GULLEMOTS 35, APOLOGIZE is 36, SOULJA BOY 37, ONE NIGHT ONLY 38, DAVID JORDAN 40. There was no sign of RADIOHEAD today, the only other entry in the top 60, came from BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. Both AKON and LUPE FIASCO`s newies were not to be seen. I have to end with a vintage look back to the past. In 1991 Radio Luxemborg, were running their top 20, on a Sunday 8 - 10pm, with SEAN TILLEY. This show featured the complete next week chart, with a few new releases. The beginning of the show featured a bed, of jingles with a bit of help from ex-radio 1 chart presenter TOM BROWNE. By 1991, Luxembourg`s uk top 20, was heavily made of the airplay of said station. As broadcasted on 31st MARCH 1991 on Luxi.... 01 01 rythym of my heart - ROD STEWART 02 06 the one and only - CHESNEY HAWKES 03 04 where the streets have no name-can`t take my eyes off you - PET SHOP BOYS 04 07 let there be love - SIMPLE MINDS 05 12 sit down - JAMES 06 03 should i stay or should i go - CLASH 07 05 losing my religion - REM 08 13 highwire - ROLLING STONES 09 09 joyride - ROXETTE 10 10 i`ve got news for me - FEARGAL SHARKEY 11 16 she`s a woman - SHABBA RANKS 12 18 snap megamix - SNAP 13 14 sailing on the seven seas - OMD 14 ne caravan - INSPIRAL CARPETS 15 02 it`s too late - QUARTZ/DINA CARROLL 16 ne secret love - BEE GEES 17 08 loose fit - HAPPY MONDAYS 18 20 love and kissies - DANNI MINOGUE 19 ne where does my heart feel - CELINE DION 20 ne whole of the moon - WATERBOYS Luxmbourg had 15 in the 20 in 1991. The CELINE DION release did not even enter the GALLUP top 75, in 91. Although it did make 72, in 93 on a re-release. Which was after the longevity of THINK TWICE. We remember CELINE won the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST in 1988, with a song that didn`t recieve any attention in the uk, at all. Obviously Luxembourg, had a preminition of better times for Celine. Join me later in the week, when I will slip in some of the singles chart info, excluding the download only factor. Hopefully Trevs will be better for the mrib charts, on Saturday. Don`t forget to compare our charts today, with the mids with MARTIN and co, from tomorrow. For now, cheers for reading |

Thanks for posting... hope Trevs get better soon, this topic is always an interesting read, it gives a sketchy idea of what to expect in the official chart this week.
